"So uh... What kind of pokemon are you?" Kair asked, looking
up at Tiger curiously, finishing off the puff. A small bit of
frosting surrounded her lips now.
Tiger seemed to have been caught off guard by the question.
Cyndaquil looked up to Tiger for a moment before the boy responded.
"I'm not a Pokemon." He said cautiously.
"Then what are you?" Yas asked, and glanced at Kair with an
amused look. He flicked his tail hitting Kair gently, and wiping
some of the frosting away.
Kair smiled at Yas and nodded a thanks before looking back up to
Tiger. "So if you're not a pokemon... There are things that
aren't pokemon? Are they rare?"
Yas nodded, and glanced at Tiger. "I'm a human. They're not really
rare and they're seen nearly everywhere. Though, you'll only see me
around here." Tiger explained kindly.
Yas blinked and tipped his head to the side. "Why's that?"
He asked gently.
"Well. Because this forest is hidden from humans." Tiger explained
kindly.
Tiger shifted his weight and shook his head. "No humans aren't
allowed here. I mean, the last time a group of humans were here
there was a sort of fight. Pokemon were lost, others rescued." He
said awkwardly.
"Wait if humans aren't allowed here, why are you here?" Yas
asked suddenly on his guard he moved a bit closer to Kair.
Tiger sighed, and leaned against a rock. Cyndaquil was now settling
down in his lap. "Well. I lived here for a year. I mean, I'm not
sure if you know of Lugia. He's the silver Pokemon who swims under
water, he sort of raised me, and taught me how to speak and
understand what a Pokemon says." He said kindly.
"So? You are a human, but you can understand Pokemon? Can all
humans do that?" Yas asked kindly, and relaxed slightly. He
hadn't personally met Lugia, but he heard stories of the legendary
Pokemon.
Yas nodded, and looked like he was going to ask another question,
when he looked at the sky and noticed the sun was nearing the
middle of the sky. "We better go before our parents notice we're
missing." He said quietly.
Tiger blinked, and tipped his head to the side. "If you're not
allowed up here, I wont say anything to the Pokemon of the forest,
I promise." He said kindly.
"We're not. We'll be dead if they find out. So clingy. But um... Maybe we could come up
here again?" Kair offered cheerfully, eyes bright with
excitement.
"Yeah we should go explore more of the forest." Yas said in
cheerful agreement, Tiger smiled in amusement and nodded before
getting to his feet.
"This forest is pretty big. If you need a guide, I don't mind
giving you two a tour of the forest. After all, I'm technically not
suppose to be here either." He said cheerfully and stretched.
"Wait you're not?" Yas asked in shock.
"No, I told my mom Cyndaquil and I were going for a walk, she told
me not to leave town, and I'm way far away from New Bark now."
Tiger explained in amusement, and glanced at Cyndaquil.
Tiger nodded, and smiled. He got to his feet, and stretched. "Well
I'll see you two later, take care." He said cheerfully, and picked
Cyndaquil up.
"Bye you two l-" Cyndaquil began as if in a teasing tone,
but Tiger silenced him with a glance. The two then jumped into a
tree and vanished.
"Wonder what he was going to say..." Yas said in confusion
and shook it off. "Come on, we've got to figure out an excuse
for being late for lunch." He said cheerfully to Kair.
"I'll go with the 'we were playing pirates again' excuse.
Pirates don't need to eat!" Kair laughed, deciding to ignore
what Cyndaquil was going to say. She slithered back into the water.
Yas nodded in agreement and swam downwards after Kair. He looked to
the right, and saw a massive silver Pokemon swim past the two from
an underwater cavern a bit far off in the distance. He blinked,
"Who's that?" Yas asked quietly as he caught up to Kair. He
wasn't sure if she saw it or not.
