Petalpaw was having fitful sleep. She couldn’t get the thought out of her head that someone was secretly watching her. Finally, she sighed. Knowing that nobody was watching her, she stood up and shook out her fur. She decided to take a walk around the forest to clear her mind and to hopefully find herbs in preparation for leafbare. Little did she know, a cat looking for some fun was following her every move.

A cat smiled at themself’s calmly before jumping from branch to branch. They had found Marigold and knew a plan. “Oh Petalpaw!” The voice whispered. Petalpaw jumped and tensed. She looked at the branch above her and let out a sigh of relief,

“Oh, it’s just you.” Petalpaw purred up at them and flicked her tail at them playfully. The cat smiled and leapt down from the branch.

“Here is some Marigold!” They said as they dropped it onto the ground. Petalpaw leaned her head in to grab the herb, but sharp claws dug into her neck.

Petalpaw gagged and fell over, bleeding badly from her neck, “Why... out of all cats... you did...” she choked on her own blood and fainted, never to awake. The cat calmly washed their paws in the nearby stream, and walked back to the camp full of unsuspecting victims.

First it is your medicine cat apprentice. I’m sorry to say Thunderclan, but there is a murderer on the loose.

A new star is shining bright in Silverpelt tonight.

*Wakes up slowly, even taking care of Goldkit has not kept me from tending to wake up early most mornings, despite how exhausted I sometimes am from trying to keep her from getting hurt as she plays*
*Looks over at Goldkit, sees she is still asleep* *whispers to self* "I should probably try to get a bit more sleep before the little one wakes up, starclan knows I won't get any rest once she does." *Adjusts position slightly and closes eyes, hoping to get more rest. Drifts into a light sleep, though any small movement wakes me back up as I wait for Goldkit to awaken*

*Others start to stir, making it impossible to get back to sleep*
*Suddenly, another cat screams outside, waking Goldkit* *looks around in a panic before trying to calm Goldkit despite being rather freaked out myself, while calling out to the cat outside* "What is going on? What happened!?!"
