This is a really unimportant thing.

As as the title says, there is some inaccuracy in Pal pad related to time.
The best I show with a picture.

I received message in 11 seconds, amazing :3

Friend told me that it happens with her pal pad too.
Before anyone tells me it's because of not refreshing your page, it's not that. (I could have forced it to show "in 5 minutes", but on average it will show 12-13 seconds for me)
Also checked on PC instead of phone, internet was fine, really no problem.
Small EDIT: Doesn't matter if other person is using app or is online.

I assume problem could be in servers differences since pal pad and rest of the site are on two different servers and somehow happened that their clocks have 13-14 seconds difference between.

The problem isn't really the server or the internet [I think].
If it really was the time difference between the Main server and the PP-server, this should happen always and to everyone, as we're all using the same two servers...

I also have this :) It's never bothered me, but it is there.

@CatLady
Are you sure it's not happening to everyone?
It happens always to me, although it often passes unnoticed.

It's impossible that 13 seconds could be a delay between one user's sending and other's receiving message, hence I left it on the server clock.

I'm not completely sure, but I think this bug started after some server optimisations and stuff Riako had done before and it used to work correctly before that (but no more)

My biggest "problem", I guess, is that it's not always the same delay. If it really was a discrepancy between the Main and the PP server, that delay should always be X seconds, not X+10 or X-5 or anything in between.

So, I guess what I'm asking is, is there a delay [and please also post if you don't] and how long is it if/when it happens.

It's rather the same I think. Oscillations happen because of some lag, being on other window that is not PH, not refreshing page for a while. I don't know, those might be possible reasons.

EDIT: Time difference between message (that I sent) appearing in pal pad (shortly after pressing enter) and time in pal pad that shows when was the last message sent/received is about 19-20 seconds.
Worthy noticing is that pal pad often won't refresh immediately time that it shows, so I counted those seconds and added to seconds it showed after refreshing itself.
For example, since pressing enter I counted 6 seconds and then pal pad refreshed itself and showed " in 13 seconds", so that would be 19-20 seconds difference. (This oscillates too, it can be 13, it can be 17, but in total it should be 19-20 judging by a few tests I made)

I tested this and the time offset is constant, regardless of internet speed. But the Palpad update time isn't every second so you won't see the same "in 11 seconds" message.

Here are the results of the test:

Test #1
Real time:         Sun, 29 Apr 2018 18:18:34 GMT
Server time:     18:18:00
Palpad time:     18:18:20

Test #2
Real time:        Mon, 30 Apr 2018 03:38:04 GMT
Server time:     03:37:30
Palpad time:     03:37:50

So neither server has the correct time nor are they in sync with eachother.

Palpad update interval: 10 seconds - window.setInterval("loadConversationList()",10000);

This seems to be solved now.
