y'all talk about how sayori suffers from depression but protag had
to see sayori commiting suicide, yuri stabbing herself, natsuki
doing a slenderman cosplay, horryfing hallucinations linked to
their friends and was problably edited by monika since he doesn't
talks at all on the second part of the game
The protagonist is a messed up person, he deserves nightmares!
First, he constantly hates on Sayori's habits, then even after he
found out the reasoning, he can still talk trash!
What? No. The protagonist genuinely cares about Sayori but he
didn’t realize she was suffering from depression and thought she
was just airheaded.
Not to mention… nobody deserves to see that? Like in real life, not
through a game/fictional setting. Just Sayori’s death would’ve been
too much for anyone. Nobody deserves to be traumatized.
Everyone hates on Protag because of how he talks about Sayori in
the first few parts of the game. If you do think about it though.
He includes Sayori as one of the "beautiful girls" at the
beginning, when Sayori submits the "GET OUT OF MY HEAD" poem Protag
rushes to her house, and to prove that he's a good person, he
wonders if entering Sayori's bedroom is a breach of privacy, before
telling himself that it doesn't matter because of Sayori. He calls
himself selfish at the end of the game if the choice ingame was
made so Protag accepts Sayori's confession. He's a decent human
being. In fact, that's all he's supposed to be. A human being with
a human personality. He likes manga and anime, cute women, and...
That's about it but yeah. He didn't join the literature club
because of cupcakes, he joined to be with the girls.
In the ending where you delete Monika he joined the club because he
was proud of how much Sayori had improved in her school
performance, and also because she was starting a club on her own
for the first time. He did it to be a surprise for her, you can
tell. (Of course Sayori knew already because she was the club
president, but the Protag didn’t.)
Not to mention, in the original run of the game, he didn’t want to
join the club, but he ended up staying because he felt bad about
disappointing the girls. He figured that getting to be closer to
them (and the cupcakes) were a bonus rather than the reason he
stayed.
(bump)
well i just found out that sayori didn't go to therapy because she
was so happy that the mc joined the lit club
Edit:
okay i found out a bunch of stuff about monika:
"I can't help but wonder how things would be different if the game
just gave me a route in the first place..."
"I think I would end up forcing you onto my route anyway."
"It has less to do with me not having a route, and more to do
with me knowing that nothing is real."
This is really interesting info, but even more importantly:
"I've been imagining all the romantic things we could do if we went
on a date..."
"We could get lunch, go to a cafe..."
"Go shopping together..."
"I love shopping for skirts and bows."
"Or maybe a bookstore!"
"That would be appropriate, right?"
"But I'd really love to go to a chocolate store."
"They have so many free samples. Ahaha!"
Do you guys think all the game with all the hidden content in DDLC
will allude to Doki Doki? Like, it implies they came from another
game.. so do you think we can't to destroy something in the
upcoming one to stop DDLC from ever happening?
