"... That was smoother than expected. See, Toka, this is why evil
teams don't worry about the police - they accuse everyone and can't
see much." Drew muttered.
Toka looked at Drew and sighed, realizing she was pretty much
right. She simply shrugged and looked back to Kibo, smiling once
more. "Anytime. Sorry for almost letting a houndoom maul
you." She muttered, nudging him.
Mira watched the police. "Who's ready to sleep?" She asked
jokingly.
Mel crossed her arms behind her head and rolled her eyes. "Don't
you just love it when people make false assumptions? Ridiculous.
Absolutely ridiculous. Let's go with 'scandalous' too. Just because
why not."
"Do me a favor and stop breathing, please." Riu grumbled,
rubbing his arm.
"Yikes, what happened to you?"
"SomebODY TOUCHED THIS THING,--" The Lucario gestured
violently to one of his receptors. "AND I DIDN'T GET THE
OPPORTUNITY TO KILL THEM."
"Lovely. Real lovely, buddy. Connor, don't listen to him."
Akio glanced at Riu for a moment and shook his head in response. He
watched as Tiger walked off to the Pokemon center, he was keeping
his promise to Mel. "Kibo just get to the center when you can. I've
got to get this burn looked at before long." Tiger called over his
shoulder.
Snow nodded weakly and looked at Zara. He shifted his weight.
"After all these years, I still can't make Johto see I'm not the
kid I use to be." He said bitterly.
Kibo waved as Tiger walked off, he knew his tail wasn't that bad,
neither was the burn on his leg. "It's alright, that Ampharos
was a jerk anyway by distracting you. I mean I couldn't have a
better Pokemon to fight beside."
Mira watched Tiger go. She slipped her hands into her pockets and
looked at Snow guiltily. Looking around at her team, she returned
everyone but Toka and Watt (who she didn't want to wake). There was
a small burn on her cheek on where an electro ball had grazed her,
but she was otherwise unharmed. She looked back at the gift shop
before wandering closer to Mel and Ben.
Toka smiled and rested her cheek on his shoulder. "You were
incredible. The way you can take hits without a second thought and
stay laser-focused just amazes me."
Snow nodded weakly, and blinked. He glanced at Zara and smiled
faintly. "Thanks." He said gently and noticed Mira. He was about to
ask if something was up, but she was already walking away from
them.
An officer approached Thora. "A friend said you were free to go,
apparently you helped their group out a lot." He said quietly.
Kibo blinked and kissed Toka's forehead before smiling. "Thanks,
though. The only reason why I was so focused was because I didn't
want you hurt." He said gently.
“... So we’ve achieved our goal, huh? Not just the defeating the
evil team, but personal goals for everyone, I assume. What’s next,
then?@ Drew asked nobody in particular.
Mel nodded in satisfaction, watching Tiger walk off. She shifted
her arms slightly, though she kept them interlocked behind her
head. Her hair was a little singed from a rogue flamethrower, but
it was nothing a trim couldn't fix. Probably. Other than that, just
the usual random scratches and a weird cut that had somehow grazed
above and below her left eye (She'd been so excited to wear an
eyepatch).
Connor was in better shape than Mel was, though he'd somehow
managed to get a wire tangled into his hair. Mel didn't mention it.
Neither did Riu, or Pom.
Speak of the devil. Both Pokémon were mostly fine ("Apart from
the mental trauma of being poked." "Oh my god--"), though Riu
had successfully injured one of his receptors, much to his
disgust (Pom laughed at him, too), and Pom sported a few
scrapes.
Mel shrugged in simple response to Drew's question. "Back to work
for me, probably." She mused.
The officer nodded, and dropped his voice to a really low whisper.
"Tiger is putting a lot on the line with letting you go." He said
evenly, and narrowed his eyes at the ex electron member.
Snow blinked, and noticed Zara wince. He then pulled his bag off
his back with one hand and slung it over one arm. He grabbed some
disinfectant and a bandage. "I think I'm going to go back to Alola,
and finish my island challenges, after that? I'm not sure." He said
in a distracted tone, and cleaned off Zara's wound before placing a
bandage on it.
Tiger walked into the Pokemon center and yawned. He placed his bag
on the counter and looked around. "Nurse Joy are you here?" Tiger
called out, and waited after a few moments Joy came out, and
blinked.
"How'd you almost die today, Tiger?" She asked with a sigh.
Tiger blinked, "me almost die? Pfft. That's not something that
happened." He said sarcastically and sighed, "A Houndoom burnt my
arm, and I know it won't completely heal, but can you please take a
look at it?" He asked gently.
Mira paced slightly, having pulled out a notebook. She checked
something off with a grin and looked around. "...I think it's about
time we all go back. Home, I mean. To our regions." She admitted
mostly to Drew, partly to everyone else. After this date, of
course.
Toka blushed. "I would have been fine as long as you
and Mira were okay."
Snow nodded in agreement with Mira and glanced at Zara with a small
frown before blinking. "Yeah it'd be for the best. I mean we've all
got our own lives to return to anyway." He said partially to
himself and shrugged.
Kibo blinked and smiled at Toka before blushing slightly.
"Honestly Toka, I'm just glad you're safe, and unhurt. Well
minus one or two electric burns." He said gently and blinked.
"I'm honestly so happy that I found you again. I'm glad you've
gotten stronger while being with Mira, because you're a strong
and beautiful Pokemon." He
said gently.
"I guess we all have stuff we need to do." Mel mused, pushing her
hair behind her ear again. "And I, for one, am in desperate need of
relieving homesickness. I think I'll book a plane ticket outta here
later."
“Yeah, I’m going back to Sinnoh. For the first time, I actually
have a home. After Kalos I... didn’t really have a place. Stayed
with another friend.” Drew sighed, Misty nodding as she rememberd.
