Tiger nodded "yeah. The festival is tomorrow afternoon so the
citizens of the city are going to be busy setting it up." He said
with a sigh, and glanced over to Z and Mel for a moment. He didn't
say anything else instead he went ahead and walked into route 39.
Jami, Robert, and Ro were quietly listening in to the different
conversations. The trio shared a look before nodding. It would seem
their vacation wasn't going to stay a vacation.
Mira narrowed her eyes once more. Something is definitely
up. She thought. The only ones not acting weird seemed to be
Mel, Jamie, Robert, and Ro, so she did the most logical thing.
"Damn! I dropped my roll of film into the tall grass," Mira hissed,
purposely taking the film out of her camera and 'accidentally'
dropping it into the grass. It bounced out of sight. "I had some
pictures on there, too. Could you guys help me look for it?"
Tiger stopped in a patch of tall grass and nodded. "Sure I'll help
you look for it" he said kindly and looked over to Cyndaquil. The
fire mouse jumped into the grass and began to look for Mira's roll
of film.
"Oh uh, I'll-" Z stopped as the voice screamed at her
'Don't!' "I'll help." Z finished and whistled for Glacie to
help "I'll help my friends, you can't stop me from doing it." Z
hissed under her breath
"Thanks," Mira groaned, putting the camera away. She crawled
through the tall grass, one berry out in case a wild pokemon
decided to show up.
"...Why are you using the camera with film?" Toka asked,
tilting her head as she looked as well.
"It's easier to print the photos that way," Mira replied, raising
her eyebrows. Toka nodded and casted a quick glance over to Z. She
gave a tiny, almost unnoticeable nod in reply and kept looking,
slowly inching closer to the twins as she looked.
Tiger looked through the grass in search of the film when a
Raticate jumped out of the tall grass and pushed him over.
"Easy...easy" Tiger said gently, and grabbed a Sitrus berry from
his pocket. He held it out, and the Raticate took it before fleeing
the area. "Any signs of the film?" He sat up and asked with a sigh,
and brushed the dust off his shoulder.
Mira found it, but pushed it away further. "Nothing over here!
Sorry, guys!" Mira called. She looked over at Glacie. "That's a
shiny rock," She explained. "...So. Everyone's being insane," She
mumbled to Jamie, trying to be quiet enough as to not let anyone
else hear.
Tiger got to his feet and saw a Magnemite going to were Mel was. He
glanced at Cyndaquil "flamethrower" he said quickly, and nodded to
the wild Pokémon. Cyndaquil nodded and ran at the Magnemite he used
a flamethrower knock the Pokémon away from Mel, but getting hit by
a thunder bolt in the process. The wild Pokémon flew away in
defeat, and Tiger shook his head. He grabbed Cyndaquil off the
ground he gave the Pokémon a Cheri berry to fix the paralysis he
got from the thunder bolt. He then went off to look for the film.
"I've got it!" Watt held up another rock a few feet
away.
"Er. Watt. That's not it," Mira blinked.
"Oh, then is this it?" Toka held up the tiny roll of
film.
"Bingo. We're good! Sorry, I'll heal everyone's pokemon!" Mira
called, straightening up. "...How could you not?" She replied to
Jamie with a small sigh. "It's so weird."
"I went to change the film--this one's full--and it fell out when I
opened the compartment," Mira explained, showing the full roll of
film. It wasn't exactly a lie, since this one was, in fact,
full.
Mel flung herself out of the way with a yelp of surprise, skidding
across the ground before she managed to push herself back to her
feet. "What the hell!" She yowled, tripping and falling back to the
ground.
Riu yelped in confusion and turned quickly in time to spot the
flamethrower, immediately panicking.
