-inspired by me just losing my first shiny on PH to an accidental release-

there should be a feature (with the button on the Pokemon summary) where ypu can lock pokemon in your party until unlocked, so you cant accidentally release them or have a panic attack because you moved them to a box by accident
pressing the party-lock button would simply remove the check box next to the Pokemon in the Storage box screen.

i just thought of this an hour ago when i accidentally released them so its not too detailed, but i think so many people will be saved from accidentally releasing their favorite pokemon from their party ;-;

You could also just move them to your battle team.
Even if the checkbox is still there, it can't be released anymore.

Hmm, I kinda support this but what about when you mistakenly check a shiny without knowing and press release, but it'll give you a warning that you're about to release a shiny/Mega able/Legendary and will ask you if you're really sure about releasing that shiny/Mega/Legendary? I don't know, I literally suggested something else on someone else's suggestion lol

yes, thats what happened to me ;-;
and as for the warning, it always asks you to confirm exactly twice, just with a different message. ive released so many pokemon for my chain that I ignore the words and didnt realise i had them checked (and i accidentally checked them because im on mobile, so the check box is are smaller)

i just wish i knew about the battle party thing before ;-;
and since the battle party thing is unknown by a lot of people (like me a few hours ago xD) it would be cool if "party-lock three of your pokemon" was in the ph tutorial, then everybody would know how to keep from releasing their pokemon :3

In addition to the Battle Team, sending Pokémon on a Rumble Mission will prevent them from being released. Also if they’re offered on a trade or currently being auctioned off at the auction house but that’s beside the point.

I personally wouldn’t support because I use the Battle Team though I guess it would be nice for those who don’t know about it.

I personally support this; While users have stated that there are ways to prevent you from releasing a Pokemon, you can still move it from your party accidentally. I like keeping any female Combee I hatch in my party until they evolve, so this would help keep me from sending one to my Free/WT box when I send my males there. (Which I have done many, many times. Luckily i caught it before anyone asked for them though ^^; )
While I know sending a 'mon to the wrong box isn't an irreversible thing, it is definitely annoying having to retrieve my combee from the free box so often, and would be moreso for the people who are more popular / have box-specific shop forums where not-for-sale mons could slip into.
