Gem didn't say a thing, but one thing lingered in the back of her
head. Knives. I love to use knives if I really need to fight
someone. She thought. She winced, and tried to hide the thought
away. She continued to make notes about people's weapons of choice,
and things that people said.
Makau, now becoming bored again, glanced around and landed on Gem.
Once again, she was scribbling away in her notebook. She had no
idea what Gem was writing, but she could guess. Diverting her gaze
again, she took to memorizing every feature of the room instead.
(Angell heads to the gun closet and start to put the guns into a
large black duffle bag. He takes out a glock 17, loads it, and puts
it at his waist. After putting all the guns into the bag, Angell
then takes at least 12 pounds of coffee and puts it in. He then
takes off his cloak and wraps it around his shotgun and places it
on top of the duffle bag. ¨Wow, today´s a bad day to be wearing a
white t-shirt and black jeans.¨ Angell says as he walks outside.
Gem closed her notepad, and left the training room. She then
carefully left the place where they were hiding out, and walked out
into the cold. Her head was down, and she was making notes as she
walked. I hope I won't get lost in this blizzard. She
thought, carefully making small marks on the trees she passed so
that she could get back.
"The Director isn't out of hiding yet, and Agent Clover--Rylie
Mishoka--is the only one willing to show her face. It's the two of
them."
"And Rylie is training them."
"She's quite an agent, but prone to making mistakes. Letting
them out is most certainly one of them. I'll send out a proper
search party later, but try to figure out where that base
is."
Gem continued forward, hoping that she would find something. She
was getting really cold, but she continued to jot things down into
her notepad. She looked around, and gave another tree a small
marking. She continued forward again.
Gem narrowed her eyes, because she thought she could see something
in the distance. She continued to walk forward, hoping that it was
something she could find useful. She continued to write things down
in her notepad as she walked.
Gem walked a little faster, noticing that there was certainly
something in the distance. She thought that there was nothing of
importance to observe in a blizzard, so she put her notepad into
her pocket. She continued to walk forward, increasing her pace.
Gem's heartbeat rose as she heard the gunshot. She found a tree,
and climbed up it. She huddled fearfully in some snow piling up on
one of the branches.
