(Shoot my character’s gonna be like that one kid who nobody
remembers that they exist sometimes if I keep this up)
Lilly eventually notices that there is dinner, and rushes there,
fast
”Mysterious… surprising… and law-defying… Isn’t that
right?”
Lou was actually surprised that she was noticed. She couldn't hide
the little spark that found its way into her eyes when Kace handed
her a plate of pizza. She nodded before taking the plate and
thanked him.
Elin sets his plate in the dishwasher after finishing his fourth
piece, and glances at Kace. "Ice cream?" He asks, and Kace points
to the refrigerator. "In the freezer. One bowl, or your teacher
will never let me hear the end of it, 'kay?"
"When everyone's done, head to the living room, and we'll talk a
while." Kace says, right before he grabs Elin by the back of the
shirt as he tries to escape upstairs. "And you have to join
in."
"No." Elin huffs.
"Yes." Kace replies, smiling, and switches his grip to Elin's
shoulder, pulling the small blond tight against him. He barely
comes up to Kace's shoulder, and looks ready to rip off someone's
head, but he just crosses his arm.
Lou finished eating her slice of pizza and put the empty plate into
the dishwasher as well.
She couldn't help but giggle a little at how Kace insisted on Elin
to stay. It was not the fact that he did, but more
how. Elin was smaller than Kace, and that made it look kinda
cute, in fact.
For a moment, Lou found herself imagining how it would be if Kace
held her that way, since she was even smaller than Elin, but she
quickly shoved that thought away. It wouldn't happen
anyways, she thought before she turned around, ready to leave
the kitchen and head to the living room.
"C'mon, Lin." Kace says, picking him up bridal style and carrying
him into the living room. He drops Elin onto the couch and sits
next to him. The smaller boy doesn't even look at his best friend.
"Aw, Lin, it'll be great. Don't hate it before you try it."
Lou was a bit surprised to see Kace carrying Elin to the living
room, but decided not to question it. They were good friends, after
all, so it was probably normal for them.
She remembered how she used to act around her friends back in the
days, which just confirmed her assumption.
She slowly followed and sat down next to Kace, awkwardly fiddling
with her hair again. For a moment, she was silent, but somehow she
managed to find her voice again. "Why don't we play Truth or
Dare or Spin The Bottle to get to know each other a bit?", she
suggested. She didn't know if she would regret this decision or
not, but she deeply hoped she wouldn't.
Elin shakes his head. "Not spin the bottle. Gross."
"Well, Margret enjoyed it. And look on the bright side, you gave
Salis a black eye." Kace says. Elin just stares at him. "All right,
no spin the bottle. Truth or dare, then?"
"If you had to pick the person you disliked the most in the room,
who would it be?" Kace asks, giving Ave a pat. The dog replies with
a friendly growl, but doesn't move from Elin's lap.
Raising an eyebrow, Lou shrugged. "I dunno. I kinda don't know
you all, so I can't really say who I like or dislike", she
answered the question, hoping that this was good enough.
