"A little. Mostly dancer." He replies, in his smooth, quiet voice.
Elin doesn't even bother to sit up this time, cursing Kace more and
more by the second. Why couldn't he have shared a room with his
best friend? He was much more comfortable with Kace. Not to
mention, the writer didn't mind when he practiced at three in the
morning, or blasted his music, or pulled him into dance routines
without any warning. Everything would be different now.
Lou sat down onto the bed and waited for a while, not sure what to
do until it was time for dinner.
So she just took out her mobile and her headphones, plugged them in
and started playing one of her favourite songs - Anachronism
by Crywolf. The artist was pretty unknown, but his music was
great.
She quietly sang along the text, enjoying the amazing instrumental
part and found herself putting the song on repeat.
Andy tilted his head, surprise clear on his face accompanied with a
bright smile "Should i expect this place to turn into a Musical
Stage in any second then? If Yes then consider me sad, When i try
to sing Dogs start to bark so i cant join... Plus if that Musical
turns out to be anything like Be More Chill then i am packing my
bags since my heart is not strong enough for such an emotional
torment." No No No! He is doing it all wrong! What did his
Grandfather always said to him? Keep sentences short and ask alot
of questions.. "If you don't mind me asking, Why are you here? It's
not like i don't appreciate you being here, I am overjoyed! Being
in this room alone feels.. weird. " He is doing it again.. He
sighed and rubbed his temples. "I just expected most people to just
choose an empty room or go room with their friends, Not complete
strangers"
"Kace." Elin replies simply. "Kace made me." He was going to
strangle his best friend. After pizza, of course. Well, if Kace had
ice cream... maybe later tonight.
“Liam, I swear to god I’m going to block your number,” Rylie
threatened, though she was smiling from ear to ear. This was normal
for Liam; her old friend had gone to business college instead of
the art school that Rylie wanted him so badly to go to. Now, he
wouldn’t leave her alone. “Fine. I’ll call if I need you,” She
said, hanging up.
Andy didn't knew what to think about it... Kane seemed like a good
person. "I thought you two were friends, Why would he kick you
out?" Andy asked. He stood up and walked over to the bed, digging
between his pillows and taking out his notebook again. He then put
it on the Armchair next to the Plush Stag and himself sat on the
floor. "I am sorry for being nosy, Elin... Just say something and i
will keep my mouth shut, I promise! I just don't want ya to feel
the awkward, Ya know?" He smiled unconsciously "Awkward Silence is
the worst Silence." He opened up the book and started staring at
his wallpaper- Doge watching over Tundra with Aurora in the Sky.
Elin is silent for several minutes, almost long enough so it seems
like he won't answer. "Kace is a sweet person, yes. He is
accepting, and will deal with almost anyone's flaws. But he will do
anything if he thinks it will help someone he loves. Unfortunately,
I have a hard time making friends. Kace wanted to fix that."
Andy is holding his breath, patiently awaiting an answer- And still
staring at his wallpaper. Maybe he should actually try to at least
open some sort of game because it's certainly not normal to just be
staring at the screen no reason. Luckily, Elin spoke just in time
to prevent Andy from passing out.
He thought about his words for a while before answering "You two
sound pretty close... I get where he is coming from and why he
pushed ya out of the comfort zone" He turned around to look at
Elin, then it hit him that Andy is sitting on the floor and Elin is
on upper bunk so of course, he cant see him- But he didn't turned
his gaze away anyways. "You have that kind of Intimidating 'I am
Better than You in Every Way' vibe around you if I am honest... But
don't worry about that! Trust me on this one, I promise ya that we
will show Kane that you indeed can make friends and good friends at
that! Just call me out if i do something wrong and if ya want to
talk i am always here. By the end of the year, Kane will be jealous
of our amazing power of friendship!"
Elin looks over the side of the bed, his eyes narrowed. There's a
certain glittering anger in them, a glare that could make even the
meanest bullies shy away in fear. "I dont want to prove him wrong.
I don't want him to lose. I want Kace to remember I don't want
another friend. I want him, everyone else I weird and
stupid. Nobody likes me. I don't like them. And I certainly don't
need your pity friendship."
Elin's expression was easy to read and at that moment Andy knew
that he messed up- He messed up a big time. He wished the floor
underneath him could just open and swallow him whole... He dropped
his head a little in an attempt to shrink himself. It took him a
moment to collect his thoughts "I-I get it.." He looked up again
with a smile on his face- smile that wasn't quite reaching his
eyes. "I just hope we can get along then.." He then faced the
notebook again and with an use of touchpad begun to search for some
files. For him, this silence was like unbreathable gas that filled
the room..
Elin lets a small, cruel smile curl his lips upward before going
neutral again. He's about to flop back down and turn his music up
to max volume when Kace calls. "Dinner!"
Rylie groaned slightly at the dinner call. She had just fished her
VHS player out of the very bottom of her bag and was looking for a
place to plug it in. "Coming!" She called, throwing tons of VHS
tapes out onto her bed. "I'll watch Bladerunner tonight," She
decided quietly, running out of her door to the kitchen.
(I am so glad I could make Rylie into this huge film geek, I'm
essentially describing my perfect bedroom lmao)
Having the music just quiet enough to hear the dinner call, Lou put
down her headphones and unplugged them from her phone, leaving both
of the items resting on her bed. She got up and left the room.
Reaching the end of the staircase, she could already smell the
scent of pizza. She quickly went downstairs and entered the
kitchen. Now there, she decided to wait for the others.
Andy silently closed the notebook, not realizing that he most
likely stopped all dowloads this way, and got up. He looked at Elin
and opened his mouth to say something but he managed to stop
himself- Weird and Stupid, Nobody Likes Me, Pity... Those words
scorched into his brain, preventing him from letting out even the
simplest sentence. He then just left the room, Looking like a puppy
that has been kicked to the face more than a human being.
Elin was downstairs within seconds, his silent feet barely touching
the floor. He essentially pops into existence beside Kace, who's
barely fazed as he picks up a slice and puts it on his own
plate.
"You look far too pleased with yourself. Were you being mean?" Kace
asks, handing a plate to the light-haired boy. Elin stares at him
for a moment, taking the pizza. He bites into a piece, and mutters.
"No."
Kace piles three slices onto a plate for Rylie and hands it to her.
"Enjoy." He smiles, and Elin frowns, finishing off his first piece
in a few more bites.
