You arrive at the building you were told to go to. It's not particularly interesting, just a lonely house in the middle of a wind-swept field, no other kind of civilization in sight. A sign by the gravel road reads 'Dragon's Lair', but the words are crossed out in red paint. Under it, in much more graceful handwriting, obviously skilled with a brush, elegant letters spell out 'The Paradise of an Angel is a Nightmare for a Demon.'
You may begin when ready.

Rylie looked at the sign with interest, then back at the house. She huffed. "I doubt a dragon used to live there," She snickered, going forward to the door of the house.

Ash blinked a few times at the sign. "...Eh." She muttered tiredly. "If there was a dragon we would probably be munched on already."

She knocked on the door and leaned on the side of the house, yawning slightly. She straightened out her shirt.

Riley grabbed his back pack but Anna stopped him shaking her head. Still he could she was cautious. The pocket that held her throwing knives was opened so at any moment she could attack if needed.

Mals opens the door, his phone pressed against his ear. "Heyo heyo. I'm guessing you guys are the new recruits? No, not you, Cassie, the people at the door." He rolls his eyes and steps aside, motioning for them to come in. The door opens straight into a spacious living room with a flat screen on the wall and books scattered all around the plush sofa and matching chairs.

Ash walked behind Anna and Riley with her hood up over her head. She gave a tired yawn before making her way into the living room. "Nice place." She muttered out.

"I try." Mals says, before he turns back to his conversation on the phone. "Look, Cassie, one way or another we're gonna have to get the box and the creature, so stop complaining and find a... no, any reflective surface should work. Wait, Cas-" He lowers his hand and glance at his phone. "Huh. Hope she doesn't get herself killed."
"Yeah, who else would I go out with?" Syd calls from somewhere else in the house.

"I am fine with being a protector though I prefer to be on the side lines doing the scientific parts. You know building gadgets, testing stuff, using drones to monitor stuff." Riley explained.

"Sorry, kid. That job's kinda taken." Mals says. "Oh, and yeah, there were. For a while, anyways. They were pretty cute things-" The front door opens again and Cass walks in, shoving a smooth cube that looks like it's made of metal into his hands. "Um, Cassie. Creature? Oh, never mind." Mals glances down at the box, noticing the small blue smoke-like apparition that seems as if it's just a reflection. "Smart. Can you take it downstairs for me so I can dismantle it later?" Cass stares at him a moment, then she sighs and the tiniest of smiles traces her lips. "All right, but I'm picking the movie tonight, then." She replies, taking back the box and head off into another room. "Anyways, where was I?" Mals asks.

To cause that it would need to be...oh...about five hundred degrees Fahrenheit, though she didn't look like she was in pain and you weren't in pain either after touching it. Furthermore it didn't get hotter." Riley began before ranting about loads of possibilities.

Anna sighed. It was always enjoyable to see Riley happily going on about Science but once again he forgot what people said. Shaking him a bit he stopped his rant. "Earth to Riley, they said no. If you want to tamper with something my sword needs repaired. Sorry...he is easily excited. You were explaining what a protector is."

"Oh, right. So, basically, we find boxes. We collect the things that may have gotten out of the boxes. We take boxes. Sometimes I send them back, sometimes I don't. We also try not to get killed, that's one of the tricky parts. And I swear to Lucifer, Syd, if you throw touch that book I'll transport you to another dimension in your sleep." Mals glares over at Syd, who had somehow crept into the living room undetected and was now hovering over an open book. "Mals, I need to know what renders a wairu powerless-" "Salt and cat blood, now go away." Syd scowls at him, and doesn't move, but doesn't reach for the book either.

Antonin--Tony, for short--hefted his ax all the way up the gravel drive. Right in front of him stood an almost inconspicuous building, a multi-storied house that looked as if nothing interesting ever happened inside. Not even the fancy sign made up for how mediocre the area looked.

And it worried the smith mage.

He has learned a long time ago that underestimating anything based on appearance can prove to be dangerous and sometimes, fatal--he even has the scars to prove it! Nonetheless, he approached the front door of the building with as much caution as a man lugging behind a giant ax could muster.

He has received a flyer that looked for "interested parties" willing to be "guardians". If not for the cloying smell of adventure--and stale alcohol in the dilapidated pub he was in--he never would have taken the job.

And here he was now, knocking on the door with callused hands, sweating through his armpits in his almost-half-naked getup. Hope this house has AC or adventure will not be the only thing smelling around here.
