There they were again. That witch and the boy. They seemed to be talking to someone else, a person Mals recognized as another thief. If that didn't make him nervous, he didn't know what did. Hopefully, they hadn't seen him snatch something.

"Y-You're a thief!" Apple said on instinct, a little TOO loudly and caught the attention of nearby people. As the crowd started murmuring and looking at them, Apple felt uncomfortable again.

Rylie didn't seem to care. "No I didn't! They were silver buttons!" She explained, smiling. Really, they were only colored silver. They weren't actual silver.

"And just who would carry silver buttons?" he quietly screamed back before the rambling man ran back to them. "Thief, she stole my items!" he yelled, clearly angry and out of breath. Everyone turned back to look at the group of young ones and mostly at Rylie. "Runrunrunrunrun," Apple said, pushing Rylie before guards started chasing after them.

Mals just watched, mismatched eyes bright at curious. He wasn't going to do anything, why should he? They'd done nothing for him. But it was quite entertaining, and he would have laughed if he thought it wouldn't draw the attention of someone. Mals, however, remained silent and apathetic.

By the time Rylie started running, Apple began being dragged as he wasn't used to running so fast. "It doesn't matter, let's just hide!" Apple yelled, running out of breath.

Elise was next seen sweet-talking the guards. "No, no, dearies! They are not thieves. Here, come with me! I'm sure we can make things right." She smiled and motioned for the guards to follow.

While the stall owners were distracted once again, Mals picked up another apple - a golden delicious this time, his favorite - and adjusted his position to watch the plaza from a better angle. There were the guards and the witch, the other two taking off as the healer distracted the people after them. Again, the idea of possibly helping crossed his mind, but self-preservation was much more important. While it was very unlikely, a guard could notice him, which would be bad.

As the guards followed her, and threateningly stared at the others, Elise lead them around the back. She quickly created a massive ball of fire that insta-killed them, causing a small explosion. Elise smiled as she walked into the alleyway with Rylie.

Now I was time for Mals to leave. No way that witch could just convince the guards to let her friends go. They were either dead, or unconscious. He did not deal in violence of any sorts - he still had a scar from when the guy in that bar fight tried to stab him in the gut, and he was not willing to get another. If the pain wasn't bad enough, one of his brothers chided him for days. Mals was not a healer of any sorts, his only magic was his faulty shapeshifting, so if he wanted medical help he could trust, he'd have to go all the way back home. The only smart decision would be to leave. So, he took one last look at the stalls and walked across the plaza, trying to look as calm as he could, which wasn't hard.

I'm just gonna jump in as if Lance was already on his journey because I missed the start lol, hope that's fine

Lance yawned as he walked around. The little dragon in his arms was sleeping and it was somewhat cute.
As he kept walking, a loud noise caught his attention. Apparently there was a thief and when Lance spotted a cute looking female who was looking pretty worried about the fact, he instantly went ahead and tried to look cool in front of her - which led to him chasing after the people who were apparently running away.
He quickly followed them and ended up entering an alleyway, shouting »Stop right there!« in the process. He didn't notice that he dropped the baby dragon until the small creature came waddled after him.

Lance stared at the girl that was just making a rather unpleasant noise.
He followed her look and noticed how she was looking at his dragon. »I'm warning you, this dragon might look cute, but it is a killer machine!« he said with a totally serious and menacing expression.

In the next moment, the little dragon was making cute noises and chasing after a butterfly. Lance looked after it before he realized that the dragon was just leaving him. »Hey, wait up!« he yelled and ran after the creature.

With the dragon in his arms, holding it tightly, he came back. »See, this little dragon can barely stop itself from killing everything it sees« he said then. The wing of the butterfly was hanging between the little dragons' jaws.

Lance was a little irritated by the girls' reaction and wasn't sure how to react to it, but he sure knew that he didn't like this reaction. He wanted these people to shake in fear, which, in fact, he probably would if someone with a dragon was standing right in front of him and threatening him. Yes. Even if it was just a baby dragon.

However, he quickly shook his head. »Surrender now or I will let this powerful beast have you for breakfast!«
