"DID I HEAR MINOTAUR TOOTH?!"

Next thing they new, Rylie was next to them. "Ooh! Ooh! I'll take one!" She threw two silver coins at his forehead and ran off, earrings in hand. She might have been there for a full fifteen seconds.

The rambling man took the money and waved to the girl frantically until he heard what Elise said. The man looked at Elise for a split second before taking all his items off of Apple's arms. Apple looked at Elise in confusion before getting a hold of himself. "O-Oh, thank you very much!" Apple bowed a bit in respect, wondering who was the girl who just passed by and bought the earrings.

Elise grabbed the wrist of Apple, pulling him into a small alley. "Sorry. You seemed to be in a pinch." She grinned, dropping the act, making her seem totally different.

Mals was soon distracted by the commotion in the plaza, with the fast girl and the frightened-looking boy. All thoughts of stealing were replaced by annoyance, until the little scene caused several of the stall owners to glance away from their stock. They were never even aware of Mals presence, his nimble fingers pocketing small items quickly. He even managed to snatch an apple, taking a bite out of it as he leaned against one of the stalls, a bit curious about the people who had generously allowed him to fill his pockets with objects of varying value.

As he was being pulled away, he saw Mals run and take something from the stall for a second, fully aware of the opening it just created. He didn't pay mind to it though and looked at Elise as if he just witnessed the most major plot twist in a story. "Thanks. W-Who are you, anyway? I'm Apple. Apple Talizure," he introduced himself

Rylie put the earrings in and stopped for a moment, gathering her surroundings. She felt inside her pockets. "Whoops! Those coins were buttons! ...Oh well! It's not like he needs the money or anything!" She shrugged it off and walked.

"A witch? Extraordinary," Apple said in a voice alike to some rich kid with too much time on their hands. "Anyway, because of the scene you just made a few seconds ago, I saw someone stealing items from stalls. We should stop them or else we'll get framed for it," he said, pointing outside of the alley and saw Rylie walking by.

Huh, guess she's still here after blasting off, he thought.

Finishing his apple and properly curing himself of hunger, Mals continued to watch silently. He didn't quite feel settled yet, he probably wouldn't until he was with his team or whatever it was called. As much as he hated to admit it, Mals was used to people watching his back.

"One step too far, Elise. One step too far," Apple repeated twice as if it was so important that he had to. "Let's go defeat him anyway and arrest him. He might be wanted or something," he pointed out.

Elise put a hand on his shoulder, grinning evilly. "But we need thieves on our team!" She pleaded, a fire apparently taking form in the gem in her staff.

Rylie looked around. As a shopkeep turned his back, she threw the boomerang and hooked a banana around it, bringing it back. She whistled as she walked off.

"Yeah but they're not trustworthy eno- HOLD ON, WE ALREADY FORMED A TEAM?" Apple was surprised that he already made a new team member (and it was this one-step-over witch) but he couldn't complain. "Fine, fine. Let's just recruit them into our team with force but if they even touches my things in the slightest, I'm blaming you," he sighed and agreed.

(two thieves in our team. dang.)

As Rylie was peeling the banana, she started to walk back the way she came. Honestly she was wondering if the man she had 'bought' the earrings from realized he had received buttons yet.
