On hearing that sylveon kills dragon types, Shine immediately went and wrapped himself around Victor's arm.
"Don’t worry... I won’t let you die." Victor says dramatically to the shiny dragon type.

Mira’s eyes widened, somewhat confused but mostly horrified at the notion. Toka still seemed generally unconcerned. “Pfft. Nothing I can’t take.”

Mira rolled her eyes and got up. “Stop being cocky for three seconds and say hi to your new teammate.”

The kid stared at her like she was crazy but accepted anyway and sent out a Manectric.

"Let's beat them." Mel grinned at Riolu, who grinned back at her.

Roy watched Mel when he received a call from his Poketch. "Steven, is it done yet?"

"Yes. Why did you want me to do this again? There are only a few Eon Flutes in the world, you know..." Steven replied, sounding tired.

"And I had one of them, sent it to you, and got it fashioned into a kazoo. Then, I'll configure it to my Skarmory, and let it fly wherever it wants until I need it to fly me." Roy said, sounding impatient. "Now where is it?"

"Pokemart..." Steven said falling asleep and terminating the call.

It didn't take long for Riolu to take out the Manectric. The other trainer sent out a Butterfree, and it was a breeze.

"I'm glad you were close to leveling up anyway." Mel muttered as Riolu dealt the final blow to the Butterfree.

The fighting type began to glow, growing taller. By the time the light faded away, Lucario stood where Riolu had been and gazed at his paws in pride.

Mel darted over and the two exchanged a high five.
