Alola's Threat (no longer accepting)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → Alola's Threat (no longer accepting)"On the topic of mega stones:
With my time working for Oak, I've learned that every pokemon is different. No two pokemon--not even evolutions--share the same DNA or exact biology. Hence why the mega stone has always confused me.
They are all the same rock. None are tailored specifically, or any different from one another... So why does one mega stone hold the ability to mega evolve any pokemon of that species? That, really, is the one question I have not been able to answer in my time in Kalos."
Just as Mira finished the page, the realization hit her. "That's what Aether is doing... Tailoring mega stones specifically to pokemon to control them," She mumbled, remembering Dusk. "The science must still be new... And that's why..." She trailed off, mind racing. Her pokemon had gathered around, looking worried. "They take blood samples from the pokemon they capture now. "Probably. I'm not exactly sure what's going on," Salandit grumbled in response.
Amana prodded Toka with one paw, who slithered up onto the couch and sat on Mira's chest. "Welp. I'm glad we figured that one out. Should we bring the journal back?" Mira asked, straining her neck to look up at the little snake. Toka nodded. "Figured. We're staying the night."

She went to the window and looked out. Char had already occupied a spot on Mira's bed while Amana and Salandit were arguing over the rug. "Pfft," Mira snickered, looking down at the shore. A fisherman had just come into view, dragging a case with help from a Machop. "There's the unlucky fisherman who caught nothing but Magikarp. One every single day," She said to Toka, who was holding in laughter. "And..." She looked closer. There was a shadow next to the beach. "Oh no."
She raced out of her room and out of the house, Toka trailing quickly. She barely had time to close the door.

"Spruce" Tiger replied partially in an awkward tone. "I don't really say my last name often so it kinda sounds weird" he muttered partially to himself.
She slammed the door and raced up to the shore. "I thought they were gone-" Mira grumbled, skidding to a halt.
The fisherman was looking at the shadow intensely. One pokemon. She thought, seeing only one pokeball on the fisherman's belt. The shadow was a bit harder, of course, but it sent out a pokemon. "Weezing, use-"
"Toka!" Mira shouted. Her pokemon rushed forward in a Dragon Rage, effectively slamming into the Weezing.
"Thanks" Tiger said kindly, and smiled. He then finished the sandwich, and looked at Cyndaquil. "I mean I not sure what I'll be researching, but I guess it might be on the evil teams" he said softly.

"Get out of here," Mira growled back to the fisherman, who began to run with the case.
The shadow trainer began to laugh. "It is. Little Mira Tonak, all grown up. She's even got her little excuse for an Ekans."
Toka hissed at the comment. "Don't you idiots travel in packs?" Mira replied coolly. "Where's everyone else?"
"If there was anyone else, would you call daddy for help?" The trainer asked. Mira flinched at that.
"Bold for someone who picks easy targets."
The trainer chuckled. "It's called strategy, darling."
"It's called cowardice, sweetie."

"Smog!" The biker called out, snapping Mira out of her thoughts.
"Dodge it!" Mira commanded. Toka dove out of the way of the cloud of poison, holding her breath. "Twister!"
Toka spun into a tornado, rocketing towards the pokemon. It didn't do all that much damage (the Dragon Rage did more, really) but it was enough to make it dizzy. "Sludge!" The biker growled, ignoring the now dazed pokemon. It used the move, catching Toka by surprise, and did a decent amount of damage.
"Shake it off, bud. Another dragon rage!" Mira tapped her foot nervously. Toka obeyed, and just as she took off, three more trainers appeared behind the lone biker. "Holy-"
