There's also another theory about souls.

a couple actually, but the first one i think of is the fact that certain monsters could be based off of certain past human souls (Undyne being Justice for example)

I also read a theory (that to sum it up) said that 'eye magic is also related to which hand the monster uses'
Let's take Sans for example, using the basis of this theory, It's his left eye that glows blue, right?
That'd make him left handed.

So yea you can basically apply that to certain other monsters too and such. (Undyne, Mettaton - NEO to be exact - and Asgore noticably)

I have a theory which ties to souls and W.D. Gaster. First, the souls all had Determination before, but it changed when they went through Hotland. Gaster WAS killed by the machine, but in the same way as Asriel became Flowey, the determination from two souls went into Gaster Follower 1, other two into Gaster Follower 2, and the last two into Gaster Follower 3. However, Frisk didn't lose his Determination because of this: Determination from six souls can revive a person but split into three. The determination from the seventh can only work if the soul has no body. Basically, seven combined souls can break the barrier or revive a dead monster or human. Six can revive them into a split form.

i am sorry but most of your theory has nothing to back it up
we don't know what killed gaster
we speculate its the core,dont act like its canon
Also what does determination have to do with gaster
only 2 kids reached the core
chara and the justice kid who died somewhere where catty and bratty found his stuff

Well the gaster followers said "He fell into his own creation" which most people take to mean the core.

and Cypher: It is literally stated SIX HUMAN SOULS CAN BREAK THE BARRIER where the hell you came up with seven i have no idea.

Also fresh, what about the kindness kid who's stuff was in hotland itself? just thought i'd mention that.

What does Mettaton say?

"No one ever made it past Asgore!"

He openly suggests that ALL of them died at Asgore. The justice kid must've been killed by MTT himself otherwise, and Mettaton wants to use an soul to get to the surface, so he'd already be up there! Also, if it was SIX, then Asgore would just break the barrier immediately because he has SIX.

@Cypher- Actually, the justice kid could have just been killed by a madjick or something. It's common to die to normal monsters on your first playthough of Undertale, and the justice soul only had one chance too, even with high attack and defense.

and @Error- the only way they can use just 6 would be the way Asriel breaks the barrier, with everyone else's soul as well

It has been suggested, it really has, but the mods misunderstood as its existence shown to kids but locked, rather than simply made invisible, and refused.

Let's just not talk about an undertale 2 because we aren't seeing eye to eye at all, what fresh is saying isn't close to what I'm seeing and I think we all just misinterpreted each other. I personally need to apologize to fresh. Fresh I'm sorry I shouldn't have gotten into it.

Edit 1; I see an undertale movie or a undertale two as a way to give more personality to the characters, more backstory and stuff like that.
