Selena popped her head out from behind a bookshelf. "Hello! I'm the Professor. How can I help you?"

Tess gave Char a pat on the head. "I knew it! Aren't you lost, though?"

Carlie grimaced. There were rocks blocking the way to Cyllage and she didn't know how to climb. I'll just go to... Ambrette? Then I can go around.

Char nodded and glanced around. She barked again.

Mira slowed down. "Okay. For the love of Arceus how far could she have possibly gotten?" She mumbled, glancing around and sighing, before continuing back down the route. She let Gible out. "Help me look for Char, please," She asked him.

"Gi-gible!" The pokemon replied, and continued down the path once more.

Faye stood up straight, puffing her chest out a bit when Selena appeared.
"I'm Faye Valentine, here from the Hoenn Region." she introduced, sizing the Professor before holding her hand out for a handshake.
"Seviper!" her partner cried beside her.

Alex's mouth opened nervously when Jade signed at her, not taking the time to learn much of the sign language that she suggested they'd learned. "Uh--" she started before being interrupted by CJ.
"She asked if you're competing in the Showcase." CJ informed.
"Oh... yeah I am." she answered with a nervous smile. "Sorry, I didn't take the time to learn how to sign and everything yet..." she apologized.

CJ just stood there before noticing a nearby trainer. He squinted to identify the face of the trainer, realizing it'd been none other than Carlie.
"Hey!" he shouted.

Jade handed Alex a note that said she was also going to compete. Shade's pokeball was shaking violently jade had to put one of her hands on it.

Jade gave a nod, agreeing that she's going to do the same. Shade's pokeball wouldn't stop shaking so Jade let her out.

"Alright then, we should probably head over that way. The Showcase starts in a couple of hours." Alex suggested. CJ nodded at his sister and chose to come back to Carlie later, following the female's lead towards Ambrette Town.

Faye groaned loudly as she left the Professor's Lab and looked at her newly acquired Pokédex. "These definitely look better than the Hoenn ones." she commented, her partner crying out its name to agree. She noticed exclamation marks on the maps and saw a few in Connecting Cave traveling to Ambrette Town and checked for upcoming events, seeing the Showcase being held there.
"No time to waste, let's go and make our Kalos debut." the trainer told her Seviper before returning it to its Pokéballs and pedaling full speed towards the site.

Shadow nodded in agreement then followed to twins to Ambrette Town. Shade yipped excitedly before jumping up onto Jade's shoulder.

The twins arrived at the Showcase Hall [I forgot what they actually called it in the anime lol] and looked at one another before looking back at Jade. Alex smiled and flipped her hair.
"May the best performer win; best of luck and no hard feelings." she told Jade, holding out her hand for a handshake.

At that moment, Faye arrived at the location as well and saw three trainers with one of them holding out her hand to another.
"Don't even bother trying, the only thing you two look like either of you are good at is collecting garbage." Faye insulted, assuming they'd both planned on entering the Showcase.
"Excuse me?!" Alex asked, turning towards the girl who merely flipped her hair as she waltzed towards the entrance of the dome-shaped arena.

"I'm gonna blow this place out of the water." she told them, smirking coldly afterwards.

Jade gave the darkest look that someone as kind as her shouldn't be able to do. She signed some very bad things that she hadn't taught CJ and for good reason. Shade growled at Faye as she walked away and the Rockruff shook it's pokeball. Jade then turned to Alex 'We need to beat her to a pulp!' She signed knowing CJ will translate.

[CJ, Alex, Faye & Jade are in Ambrette Town for the Pokémon Showcase that the girls are entering. Carlie was in Connecting Cave but Faye has put a bad impression on Jade and Alex]

"Your little mutt doesn't scare me." Faye told Jade as she gracefully turned, her hair flowing as she did so, and walked into the arena.

Alex turned back at Jade and noticed she'd been signing before looking over at her brother.
"She said the both of you need to beat her." he translated, Alex smirking and agreeing.

"Let's go get ready." Alex told her before gently handing CJ her newly found Pokémon Egg and walking to the dressing room.

"Good luck you two." CJ wished happily.

Backstage, Alex had gotten ready by tying her long hair into a single, high-ponytail that reached down to the middle of her back. The dress her father bought had a turtleneck, long sleeves and a short skirt that she accessorized with a large diamond necklace and completed with thigh-high black boots. She then gave her Squirtle a tiara and tied a large red bow on her tail whereas her Eevee wore white booties and a flower crown.

Faye changed into a thigh length, lilac dress with a black belt complimented with a silver heart in the center. She tied her hair entirely into a neat bun and wore a diamond tiara. Her Seviper wore a mask and had a thick, red ribbon wrapped around it. She hadn't planned on entering her Silcoon or Skitty into the Showcase, though her Silcoon evolved into a Beautifly which made the trainer change her mind. She simply accessorized it with a red flower crown and a king's sash.

"Miss Jade, you're up first, Miss Faye, please standby as you'll be going afterwards." an employee called into the dressing room.
Alex turned to Jade a smiled. "Good luck and beat that punk." she whispered.

Jade nodded and walked elegantly past Faye, signing something very rude, and out onto the stage. Shade and Jade's rockruff were at her sides ready for their performance. They both had black collars with purple gems and gems in a design that was passed down to the youngest girl in the family for pokemon showcases.

CJ with his Eevee on his shoulder and Alex's egg in his lap watched as Jade took the stage.
"Good luck." he mumbled under his breath, smiling.
Alex watched onscreen and nodded to herself.

Faye rolled her eyes. "She's wasting time." she told her Seviper and Beautifly who cried in agreement.

Jade rose her hands above her hands and snapped her fingers signaling Shade to use shadow ball up in the air and Midnight, her Rockruff, to use stone edge on the shadow ball. The stone edge hit and it sent an aray of beautiful purple, black, and blue lights through the place. While the audience was distracted by the lights, Shade and Midnight jumped onto jade's shoulders. Jade then out stretched her arms allowing her pokemon to walk along gracefully and stand in the palms of her hands.
[this is not the end! there is still more! i just want a reaction out of your characters :3]

CJ watched, not particularly interested in the performance itself but definitely enjoyed the lights. His Eevee jumped when the lights from the two attacks combined.

Alex watched backstage and watched Jade's technique. "The Stone Edge could have been executed a bit better..." she mumbled though not letting her guard down.

Faye yawned with her Pokémon as they waited for Jade to finish.
"I wish she would hurry up so she could to us already..." she commented coldly.
"Seviper! Beeeeeautifly!" her Pokémon chimed in afterwards.

Jade threw the two pokemon up in the air and whistled twice. Shade and Midnight flipped in the air and as they crossed over each other Shade use her illusion to transform the arena [i think :b] into a beautiful flower patch under a sky full of stars. Jade caught them and did a twirl then let the two pokemon down and they all did a bow. once Jade heard cheering she stood up strait and her eyes landed on CJ. She blew a kiss then walked off the stage.

CJ noticed Jade and smiled slightly. "Nice job." he mumbled, knowing she wouldn't be able to hear him amongst the crowd cheering.

"Next up is Performer Faye!" the announcer called.
Faye walked onto the stage and bowed, smirking at the audience.
"Seviper, use Haze!" Faye commanded and the Snake Pokémon opened its mouth, sending a stream of thick black smoke out into the arena until it concealed the trainer and her Pokémon.
"Beautifly, Quiver Dance!"
Her Beautifly began glowing white in the center of the dark cloud and it flew around, collecting the smoke with it until it all covered the Bug & Flying-type. At that moment, the smoke exploded, creating a shower of black & purple glitter.

"We're just getting started, Seviper use Double Team then Poison Tail! Beautifly, Silver Wind!"
Seviper then created multiple clones of itself and the blade of its tail glowed purple. Beautifly then followed up by attacking with Silver Wind aimed at the tails, causing the attacks to fuse and shoot upwards, forming a large heart.

Faye looked into the camera and smirked, causing Alex backstage to flinch a bit.

Shadow walked up behind Alex and watched silently. Oh please! my mother could do better than that! She thought with Shade and midnight on either shoulder.

Drake walked down Route 5, noticing many exotic pokemon but decided to save his pokeballs for Route 8U and the connecting cave. "Cmon Axy! Ralts! Hurry up!" Drake said, as he began to speedwalk down the route.
