Shade ran off into the tall grass and came tumbling out with a rockruff. the rockruff used bite then kicked shade off. Jade snapped her fingers twice, telling Shade to use shadow ball. The move hit the rockruff and jade threw a pokeball at it.

Shake... Shake... Shake... DING!

Drake noticed CJ as he got closer, and decided not to say anything rude to make matters worse. "Excuse me." Drake said, as he and his pokemon slithered past CJ and the person he was talking to.

Mira was bored, and didn't feel like facing the gym. She had gone back through to Route 13 (it was getting later, and she just kind of wanted to spend the rest of her day in the hotel room) to find, strangely enough, there were still no Pokemon. This is so strange... It's like they just disappeared! She thought, suspicious.

After a while, Tess had defeated the first two trainers [insert battle here]. She grinned as she healed her Pokémon up and walked to where Viola stood.

Viloa first sent out her Surskit. Tess grinned as she sent out Pearl for the type advantage. Tess didn't alyways refer to her Pokémon by their nicknames, she found it as a sort of thing to do occasionally. "Shinx, use spark!" She commanded as small bolts of electricity shot out Shinx's cheeks and electrocuted the Surskit, who was able to hand on and landed a direct hit of Bubble, which didn't do as much damage.

As soon Drake got inside the gym, he inspected the area for trainers. "This can't be good..." He said, noticing a few trainers in the gym, and then Tess facing the gym leader. "Ugh..least I can make up now." Drake mumbled, as he made his way to the first Trainer. "I'll just wait for you to finish." Drake commented, as he waited for Tess to notice him.

Tess didn't hear him, extremely focused.

"Shinx, use spark again!" Tess commanded as Shinx shot another electric jolt, KO'ing the Surskit. Viola grimaced slightly as she sent out her Vivillion. Shinx was at low health and was easily knocked out as Vivillion used tackle. Dratini roared as she was sent out, as Vivillion used harden. "Now! Use the move we've been working on! Dratini, use Icy Wind!" Tess yelled. It got very cold in that area as ripples of ice were short forward, swirling around. Vivillion was trapped in the wind and was finished off with Dragon Rage.

Tess grinned as she collected her badge, pinning it on the corner of her bag and turned to exit.

Drake simply stared at Tess, almost grinning aswell. "I'm surprised you battle better than you can talk!" He said, as a grin came across his face. "In all seriousness though, good job." He said, with a more serious tone as he prepared to go against the first trainer.

Tess rolled her eyes, murmuring something among the lines of a 'thanks' before turning sharply and exiting the Gym.

Carlie walked in, defeating both trainers with ease. She wasn't one for using moves that affect stats and focused on using pure power.

Drake swept through the trainers with Ralts and Axy, watching as the two take on the pokemon without breaking a sweat. "Hm..looks like I underestimated you Ralts. You've proven to be alot tougher than I thought!" Drake said, smiling at the two now. "Now let's wait for that girl to finish up." Drake said, looking a bit serious now.

Carlie quickly defeated Viola with her second Pokémon: a Sneasel. A dual ice and dark type was certainly enough to freeze the bugs. Carlie grinned, leaving.

Carlie practically skipped out of the Gym when she ran into Tess.

"So! Have you apologized?" Carlie asked cheerfully.

"To who do I need to apologize to?" Tess half snapped, half-grunted.

"Drake, of course!"

"Oh, is that that loser's name? And why should I apologize?"

"Well, you started it! And you had just met him!"

"I can't argue with that..."

"See? I knew you'd be like this!"

"How? We've just met! And I don't even know you!"

"I'm friends with your cousin, of course!"

"Eyrikah? I'll kill her!"

"So are you going to apologize?"

"Hmph." Tess simply said, walking into the Pokecenter, healing her Pokémon and walking back out before Carlie could say anything, then back to Route 4.

James was in Santalune City eating at a restaurant.His thoughts trailed back to what the professor had said."So the one who killed sis is still alive...he won't stay that way if I have a say in it."He mumbles while looking outside the window.Not many would connect that he was a sibling of one of the legendary heroes of Kalos, and they definitely wouldn't connect that his older sister was the one that didn't come home.He swallows thickly at the thought of his older sister."Don't worry sis.I'll avenge you.I promise."

Drake almost swept Viola's pokemons, until one of them landed a critical hit on Ralts, making him faint. Axy took it from there, and easily avenged his fainted comrade. Drake teared up as he got his first badge, and made a "V for Victory!" sign with his hands, almost posing like Victini.
