Personalities:
One could be level headed and calm but likes to cause chaos and despair while the other one is a hot head that constantly snaps at little things but wants to do something good in life and looks up to the calm one a bit due to the fact that he/she seems to always be in control.
What do you think?
Settle down, children, and listen to my tale of false accusations and friendship saving the world

Ever heard the expression "great minds
think alike"?
In one case, it was actually true.
Rose and Rowan were almost never separate. Ever since that fateful day in third grade when they were caught gluing thumb tacks to the other children's chairs, they've been the best of friends. They had the same classes, they ate lunch together, they were at each other's houses on a daily basis, they were basically never apart.
Th two looked so similar, it was hard to tell them apart. Both had dark hair cut in a short, boyish hairstyle, which was uncommon for girls, but Rose didn't care. They had pale skin, were tall and skinny, had playful, soft features, and hazel eyes, both with the same green flecks. They even dressed similarly, in comfortable jeans and t-shirts. The only way to tell them apart was Rose's black stud earrings she always wore.
They were also both troublemakers, with a bad habit of getting in trouble, but together they were calm and almost sweet. The most uncanny thing, however, was how amazingly similar their minds were. They both loved dark chocolate and lilies, stargazing and animals (especially reptiles), the color red and rock music, fantasy books and video games, and they both hated children and being told what to do. They would say things at the same time, or answer questions to the other with perfect accuracy, do unexpected things without discussion, even do projects and essays on the same topic without meaning to.
They weren't just similar, it was as if one person had been made into two. They were like exact copies of each other.
Of course, living in a small religious town, people soon grew wary of them. Whispers of demonic possession and witchcraft emerged, but Rose and Rowan paid not mind to them. After all, they only needed each other for friendly companionship, and did not care what others thought.
However, the friend's parents soon turned against their own children, and the whispers grew into accusations. Everyone thought they were demons. Fearing their lives, Rose and Rowan fled together, but they were soon intercepted, gutted, and their bodies burned. The townspeople thought this would rid them of the demon. In fact, it did the opposite.
The telepathic connection the two shared was actually a gift from a creature of light long ago. It was passed, not through blood, but through great minds that might one day be something spectacular. The connection would help create a strong bond that kept an old demon at bay. Unfortunately, with the connection broken before it was ready to be passed on, the demon awoke deep beneath the Earth's surface.
The creature of light felt the demon's slumber disturbed, and it grew fearful. The connection was no longer under it's control, and it could not pass the connection on, so the creature of light had to find another alternative. So it caught Rowan's and Rose's spirits before they could disappear into the Great Beyond and gave the temporary bodies of light.
Now, Rose and Rowan did not blame the villagers for killing them, and they understood their fear, so instead of punishing them, they decided to pass on the connection, in much weaker forms, through all of the human race. That way they would go practically undetected, and even if they were killed before the connection was passed, there was always someone to keep it going. With their final gift, Rose and Rowan dissolved into nothing, and their spirits floated away into the Great Beyond, leaving the demon trapped once more.
Ever since then, through all of the human race, best friends have thought abnormally similarly. Who knows, maybe some of Rose and Rowan's connection lives on in you and your friend you sit by in class everyday...
