So it was just announced coming out Worldwide November two new Pokemon Games

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Game Description:

A fresh new take on Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, these titles promise to take players through a dynamic story within a spectacular new world.

Not much is shared about these games now.

For me I'm excited i can't wait to see how these games will be I will probably be pre-ordering them when I can. =D

First of all, it's Hoenn.

Second of all, it's in 3D.

THIRD OF ALL, IT'S POKEMON.

THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING. my mom probably won't buy it for me until 8 years later when it's 5 dollars

Personally, I'm expecting a lot. Maybe too much, even. I hope there will be new mega evolutions, and maybe even more features of mega evolution? I've always hoped for there to be a Pokemon game where you can explore all the regions, and have ways to collect all the Pokemon without having to trade or use any wifi features.

I hope it'll have more places to use the 3D feature than in Pokemon X/Y. Or better yet, even have everything 3D. I personally LOVE the way the battles look in X/Y, and I hope they don't change it. If they do, I hope they make it look better rather than worse or more complicated, although I can't think of any ways to make the battle vision better!

In summary, I'm expecting a lot lol. I know it's just a remake, but come on, there can be new things, too! I almost hyperventilated the first time I heard about this, but now I think I've calmed down... heh.

But, until then... ???????? RIOT ????????

I may just faint right now. One of the best regions ever, Hoenn.

AND THEY'RE BEING REMADE! Cool names too.

My mood just went crazy good. I wonder what new things they will add in these games. Hopefully they will bring back the Safari Zone. And keep the pokeradar. I can't wait for November (that's a first)

I was sure that they wouldn't be doing this for another year or so! I was so, so excited when I saw the official announcement! Sapphire was my first ever Pokemon game, and I definitely want to get my hands on the remake. :D

Seeing how great X and Y were, I have nothing but confidence in Game Freak to bring out an even better game. They always make the remakes so awesome. <3 I just hope they bring back the feature where your Pokemon follow you, like in HG and SS. How amazing would that be with those graphics!

SOOOO EXCITED!!!!

I never played Ruby or Sapphire, but Emerald was one of my favorite games, and still is. Being able to play Pokemon in Hoenn without dragging out my old, broken DS Lite is a dream come true for me.

I literally flipped out when I saw the trailer. Then I danced like a cute that I'm. and told my brother there bringing back the secret bases. He was like "YESSSSS YESSSS!" XD

Omega Ruby sounds cool. I'm not crazy about these games. I'm not the kind for remakes, I never got the hype about them, either. Unless they have a good amount of changes, I think it'd be pointless, but that's just me.

@ShinyHoundoom14: I'm definitely leaning towards Alpha Sapphire! I've always liked Groudon more, but Sapphire was the first Pokemon I got, so it'll be for nostalgic reasons. I guess it really all depends on the version exclusive Pokemon. :3

I'm not that hype about this. Like Diana said I'm not a fan of remakes either, to me that screams "Do we have any new ideas for Pokemon? No? Well alright let's start remaking the old ones until we come up with something."

To me I already played this game, some people didn't but as a fan of Pokemon as a kid with a game boy I played it. I'm sure they'll charge like 50$ for this "new adventure" when I already did this. I want a new world to explore, like when they made Pokemon black 2 I was a bit iffy because I already played it but they progressed the story and showed the after math of disbanding an entire elite force and felt fun to play and have people talk about the hero being you. But this just seems like the same game but better graphics.

I'm sure the next game they release will be Pokemon Emerald instead of a new Pokemon game. What's next a remake of every old Pokemon game until they come up with something better? I don't know but I would rather get a new region or at least a sequel to X and Y instead of a remake of an old game.

Of course I'll wait until it comes out to see what this game has to offer, probably by reading reviews, since not many people know what this is about. But if it's just the same thing but new graphics then count me out.

I agree with Luna, it is like taking Heartgold, but then call it: The WONDERFUL HeartGold.

What i am saying is that, it is way more inetresting when you play the original version than a remake, that is probally dumbed up and which you have to buy a handfull of cash, for something you already played only it is in "color".

I will not buy it, because well reasons stated.

I can see all of your points, but, remaking a game gives all new opportunities to play the game in a more advanced way. It will be pretty nostalgic for me, since Sapphire was my first Pokemon game, and I'm beyond excited. Anyways, I understand the dull feeling of remaking a game, it just isn't the same as a new game, but in my opinion, I like remakes the best of all. Guess I think differently, haha.

Honestly when this was announced I was kind of hoping for a sequel to the Hoenn games, but I just read Serebii and it was a confirmed remake.

Honestly not too hyped about it at all. I dislike the Hoenn games and always disliked them.

Also generally not a huge fan of remakes. I generally feel that there's no point to them, with the exception of FR/LG, those were needed to fix the mess that was R/B. ~~I admit I was suckered into HG/SS because Johto is my favorite~~

If they add a lot of things to these new games I may consider buying it. Like there have been theories of a whole new region to explore kind of like what Johto did for its postgame. I will totally get these games if that were the case, but I won't get my hopes up.

~~I want an Emerald~~ Alpha Sapphire sounds better. Kyogre > Groudon. But Rayquaza >>>>> Kyogre.

The thing; I don't think they are doing a remake of Emerald. Leaf Green and Fire Red? Remakes of Green and Red, but not from Yellow. SS and HG? No remake of crystal. Sapphire and Ruby? Almost for sure no Emerald. And if they do it of Sinnoh, I don't think there'll be a platinum either.

Cons; What Queen already said. I already played Sapphire and Emerald when I was younger, and unless it's a huge change...well...uh. + More difficulty to fill dex probably :b

Pros; Possible Mega Grou/Kyo? Wooow. I really liked Hoenn. Why? This battle thing after finishing the game and contests. I want these two badly. Black and White were sooooooo boring, personally, with these musical thing. Bring classic contests back! Bring Battle thing back! So I can get obsessed with defeating the 7 buildings with my first lvl 100 which was Swampert from Sapphire :b

Oh yep and I understand people who say it's just the same but with better graphiques and more Pokemon. Welp you got a point, and I accept that :b you are true. But I don't really understand people who are like "No, I won't play it" you ask why and they reply "Not the same". I mean, you may play it and not like it. But if people are telling you it's great why you don't try at least? (Considering in this case that there wasn't any economic problem)

They probably will remake Emerald. Why? Well that's because there are slight differences in the story depending on which game you're playing. With Yellow and Crystal there weren't much differences so there was no need to remake them because they were just added into HG/SS.

But with Emerald there are slight story differences when it comes to the two teams. Like who does what. I remember in Emerald both were evil while in the other two only one was evil.....something like that? I don't remember it's been a while. I still think it will happen though.

For me it just seems "I want mega legendary!" Is the main point here. Also nostalgia. I refuse to pay 50$ for one mega Pokemon xD that's why I'm not playing it. I'm not playing a game I already played. I'm not paying that much for one Pokemon that seems to be the center of hype. The reason I won't play is because it is the same from the looks of it. However no one here really knows about the game that well, whether or not it's great or bad, which is why right now I said I'll wait for reviews of it. Right now it's mainly "oh nostalgia!" Or "ugh it's the same game" that I see people talking about.

I can't say whether or not I'm going to dump money on a game I played already for sure, but for right now with what I have I know I won't buy a remake of a game I already played. Some people want it some don't. Some people want to shell out money for it some don't haha. I however don't. Not until I see some ground breaking differences from this game and the one I played before other than "mega legendary".

The only reason I think emerald because if this is a success just because people like mega legendaries then why wouldn't they make tons of money on remaking Emerald? People would pay 50$ for a mega legendary so why wouldn't they remake it? I see this as a lazy way for a game company to get money: hype up one feature and glaze over the rest.

I've actually ~~prepare the shocked gasps~~ never played Ruby or Sapphire on my own. When I was a kid (like, 5-6 years old), I would go over to my neighbor's house and I the first thing I did was play Pokemon Ruby on his Game Boy. (And I always picked Mudkip. Always.) The farthest I ever got was halfway through the first gym battle. ._.

I ~~might~~ probably will pick it up, part nostalgia, part to play it through to the end for the first time. Of course I'd be going Omega Ruby with Mudkip. I don't care about the fact that Kyogre has a type advantage over Groudon, and I think Groudon looks a little cooler. (When I was a kid, I always thought Kyogre was super-ugly, despite how much I loved whales, which is kind of weird in retrospect.)

I do in fact own Emerald, but my DS Lite quite literally broke. The top half is only connected to the bottom by a copper wire now, and all the top screen displays is bright pink and green lines. Even using it as a GBA is annoying because of the top screen flopping around when I try to play it. I think I've only gotten to the 3rd or 4th gym badge in Emerald because of this.

The only think I hope for is more 3D graphics. They were nice in X/Y, but they really only came up in caves and cutscenes. Plus, character clothes! I look like a train wreck in RL half the time since I barely care about what I wear, but being able to customize my character in X/Y was amazing, and I'm pretty sure the outfitting will appear in the new OR/AS, and I'm hoping with new designs.

Sure, it would be nice to see a sequel-type game like B2/W2, but I was just as happy when HG/SS came out. ~~(But then again, I hadn't played the original games then, either.)~~ The point is, most of the younger generation hasn't even touched "old" games like Ruby and Sapphire, and even though this is just a "dumb remake," kids can play through the past gamer's generations with the newer graphics that they're used to playing in.

Queen_Pumpkaboo: You basically said what was on my mind. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this.

I tried to play Heartgold before, but I just couldn't. It was boring and almost exactly the same as the old games (which I already played). I couldn't even get to the first gym before I quit from boredom.

While I really, really love the Hoenn region, this is just pointless and, well, greedy.

NO...\r\nNo...\r\nIt's not happening. This can't be real.\r\nI'm quite excited about these games. I'm thinking about getting Omega Ruby to change it up a bit. I've really never liked the legendries in the lighter-colored games (Like Pokémon Y and such. It' hard to explain what I want to say.) but, I... I think this will be a fun experience because I've always loved Pokémon, and I'm skipping around generations, but I've never actually played any Hoenn games at all, but I've played to some extent the others, so I'm a little excited for this remake.

Never got to play them, it's because I never had a system like that (the first pokemon game I got was X and I got a 3ds exclusively for that but then I got 2 more games) also I like mega groudon and Kyoger will be a thing because look at the covers, look mega to anyone,else?
