There was a left turn available for Kya. Beyond that, the next
room appeared to be a dead-end. There was nothing of note in the
room that they were in, other than the sound of breathing
increasing in volume.
As for the other pair exploring the labyrinth, the next right
turn proved to be a dead-end. The cloth that Napoleon picked up? It
was made of a scratchy sort of material, much like wool or rough
linen. Maybe they could do something with it, but the narrator here
hasn't a clue what they could.
"Shakespeare is a dumb, I can't believe you read him." Not that he
knew who Shakespeare was, but Cell was not one to argue what
he did--or did not--know. His ears twitched as he followed Nappy
into the other room, and said nothing as he grabbed the bit of
cloth. Whatever, it wasn't important, whatever he had
grabbed...
"Hey, ya think we should meet up with the other two?" As annoying
as Watt was, he was still one more poke who could help them fight
their way out--if they needed to do that. Hopefully they won't, but
it was better to be safe than sorry, last he checked...
Kya decided to check the next room, he headed forward and
used the flashlight to check every corner of the room. It was a
dead end, nothing interesting.
He headed back towards the place where he saw the left turn and
headed left.
The second left-turn revealed a non-descript room with a right
turn. Beyond that was a sudden drop--and the wind noises from
before could be more clearly heard. Ragged breathing, and...was
that a moan of pain? It appeared whoever was down there would be in
need of help.
But how would that being be helped? The sudden drop had no
foot-holds, and was smooth. Climbing down was out of the question,
but perhaps with a ladder of some kind...
He tied the cloth to his ankle before while trying to balance the
lum berry on his head, didn't quite work out. "See, the more you
can find out how much you don't know about reading" he said picking
up the dropped lum berry. "But if you really do just dislike one of
the most famous writers in history, then who do you like reading mr
'I know more than you'." He was really trying not to be rude while
saying that. "The other two? Do you really think we can find them
at this point? I know how to backtrack to the split, that's easy,
but how do we know where they themselves went?" He said going
backwards into the last room.
"Just because he's famous doesn't mean his writing's great."
Cell snarked back, rolling his eyes. "It's just like, ah,
that what'chamacall-it. That thingy between Flareo and Pukett
(Romeo and Juliet). Greatest love story ever? Pul-leeeze. It made
no sense at all." Between guy sees girl and then girl sees guy, why
did they even fall in love? Was the stuff at the party they were at
spiked or what was going on there?
"I guess I could try sensing for their auras." But the Lucario did
not sound too confident in this option. He wasn't, by any standard,
"gifted" in aura-tracking. Maybe he was average (worse than average
actually), and that was before trying to figure out how to see in
all this literal cave-darkness-stuff going on in the Labyrinth.
"Whaddya think Nappy?"
"Whoa.."
Now that was a huge drop, it sounded like there was someone there,
but there was no way he could go down there. So he decided to look
for something that could help him, but this room was empty. The
Umbreon kept walking and took the right turn, promising he
would come back as soon as he found a ladder or a rope.
"OH. MY. GOSH!!! NOW THERES PEOPLE SCREAMING!!!" Watt yells, and
drops all the furniture down on the...down way, while the dark-type
Eeveelution looked for a ledder. He ranted a bit more, and flied
down as well.
Kya heard once again Watt screams followed by the sound of
something hitting the ground and probably breaking. "What are you doing?" When had Watt even followed with
him?
The Umbreon looked back and to his surprise he didn't find
anything.. "Uhh.. Watt?"
Did he just threw himself down there?
With Kya's right turn, he would find himself with another fork.
A left turn appeared to be a dead end (though there might have been
another turn if he entered that room first). And a right turn
with...was that a backpack in that room? Details would be
hard to make out, but it was surely something!
Whatever it was down there, it was not happy that there
was a crash of multiple furniture (or, more precisely: a number of
appliances probably being destroyed inside the refrigerator). Down,
down had all the things come--at least a hundred feet (although
that number is debatable; it's not like anyone present has any unit
of measure; plus, it was dark--things may appear further or nearer
than they really were...).
Jumping to its feet, the Persian hissed at the new-comer's
appearance. There was a wild look in the large cat's eyes, it's
forehead jewel was cracked and missing a chunk. "WHO'S THERE?!"
A backpack! That sure was usefull. It would be more usefull if he
had something to put there, but he had been really stupid and let
Cell take all the food. Kya went to the right and took the backpack, he looked
around the room to see if there was anything interesting, he
planned going to the left tho
There was another right turn available for the Umbreon. He could
either move forward, to the left, or the right. Though, since he
did have a flashlight...going forward would lead him
straight back to the entrance of the Labyrinth. Maybe he should see
what was inside the backpack instead?
Alas, there was nothing of use inside the backpack. While there was
a rope inside, it was a child's toy (skip-rope), with one handle
broken. Also, three empty lunch boxes, though there were severe
mold inside all of them.
The Persian continued to hiss and had brought up a paw to swipe
against the Rotom. She was unable to follow through though, for
Watt had already flown up away--and out of her reach. Giving a
screech of a warning, she then laid on her haunches again. Once
again determined to not make a sound.
In the end, she probably will, for falling into this pit was the
worst thing that's happened to her in quite some time. And as
stubborn as she was to admit it, she would need help to get
out of it too...
"Well why are you here?" She snarled back. The large cat,
however, did not move to get up. "If you won't make yourself
useful, then I suggest you leave me well enough
ALONE."
"THATS BECAUSE WE GOT...CAUGHT BY THOSE WEIRD MIENFOOS!" Watt says
"BY THE WAY, WHERES THAT UMBREON?! YOU LOOK PRETTY SAD TOO, MAYBE
WE COULD ESCAPE ALL TOGETHER." Watt offers, shaking the blender
thing for whatever reason. "WE COULD EVEN SELL THAT GEMSTONE IF
YOURS WHEN WE GET UP THERE. OR JUST THE SHARDS OF IT."
Ughhh.. I'm back on the entrance!!!
Really? The umbreon was frustrated.. He was back on the first
fork.. right were he left the Lucario and the Druddigon.. He
decided to go back to the mansion, so he headed forward. He would
need some food anyway. He could even ask for a ladder or a rope
right? Kya went towards the labyrinth's entrance and went up the
stairs to find himself on the first floor?
"Touch me and I will claw your beady little eyes out."
Baring her teeth, she raised her shoulders, pushing off the
'ground' with her fore-paws. "And if you trust those buffoons, then
you would be a much more foolishly fooled fool than I first
thought."
Actually, she was lying through her fangs and sharp teeth here: her
impression of the Rotom was certainly less than stellar, bordering
on 'complete imbecile'.
Upstairs, the first floor was quiet. Though a small bed-side
table was set close to the Labyrinth door, and on it was a platter
of sandwiches. There was also a pitcher of water, two glasses
filled half-way, and a 'water bowl' on the cleaned floor (also
half-filled).
Maybe it was past lunch-time? There was no clock in sight in the
foyer to check. Perhaps the sandwiches were meant as a light snack
instead? Better ask the butler or maid to be sure.
The Umbreon decide to look on the second floor, he didn't thought
the mienfoos were there, anyway he could take some of that food.
He'd like to do it, but first he needed to clean the luches or get
another thing to put them in. Kya went up the stairs "Uhh.. Yin? Yang?"
There was an answering call from one of the rooms. A few moments
later, Yin poked her head out of an arcade room. "Yes sir? Oh!
You've found one of the backpacks! That used to be the master's
father's pack, I think." Running over, she nearly tripped as her
foot caught in a snag on a carpet. "Ooooh! Uhm...did you come back
alone...?"
She didn't see the others with the Umbreon. And she was very sure
that her partner told her that all of them went down. "Are the
others alright?"
