"Which is why I asked you that other question, remember 'and if you
actually don't like, blah blah blah, who do you read?', whatever"
why did everyone seem to avoid his questions, he thought "anyways,
do you really want to read ten more chapters of two people kissing,
dating, and the such?" "You sure you can do that? Sure why not,
let's give it a try."
"Are you ok? Um.. well I found the backpack on the labyrinth,
but it's full of mold"Kya said as he looked down at his
paw and put the backpack on the floor in front of him.
"And.. umm.. yeah we kind of got split at the beginning and my
.. ugh.."partner" threw himself down a pit? So I came looking for
some food and a rope, and finally found out I was just where I
began"
The Umbreon seemed angry about that, he had spent a lot of time
there for nothing.
"Me? I'm perfectly fine, thank you for ask--inquiring, sir!" She
smiled a bit, but it soon dropped at the mention of someone
throwing their life down--literally! "Partner? Oooh, who was it?
Are they alright? Are you sure they had enough sleep, and uhm, just
fell in the pit? Or maybe it wasn't a deep pit?"
Taking the backpack from him, Yin looked it over as she thought
about his question: "Uhm, I'd say not more than two or three hours.
I don't know when you and the other guests left to, uhm,
explore the dreadful place. Sir."
Turning the bag over and removing the lunch boxes, her nose
wrinkled at the awful smell of the mold. "These could be reused, I
think! I'll see if we have anything that can get rid of this
terrible bacteria!" She put all the items inside the backpack
again, and looked ready to attend to the task.
"Don't matter, you'd never have heard of 'em anyway." Looking from
one path to another, Cell did his best to lead them back to
the first fork before they had 'lost' the others. Unfortunately, as
loathe he was to admit it, he remembered a turn wrong and ended up
in the room with the broken chest again.
As soon as he saw it, he scowled and backtracked again,
taking a left from that fork. "Whaddya take me for? A
romantic sap? That stuff is all fake, didn't you know that?" As he
said this, he turned to 'look' at the Druddigon, glad the big guy
was, at the very least, hard to miss in such a cramped space and
all.
"Hmmp.. I think he's ok, he's a ghost type after all, is not
like he can die.. again? And. You probably know him, he's the rotom
who tried to strangle your friend yesterday."
Right? Kya didn't wanted to go pick up rotom pieces, but who
understood this guy? Why would he throw himself down the pit.
"What's so bad about that place anyway? I mean.. We haven't
found anything yet."
"Oh then he should be fine." As far as the Mienfoo knew,
ghost-types were already dead. That's what she learned from the
Banette before! Or kind of dead. They could have families too, but
it's better to not question it too deeply, she guessed.
"Well the other guests who've gone down there end up staying down
there. Or are dead, but the master doesn't like us saying
th--oops." She dropped the back, paws rushing to cover her mouth. A
blush dusted her cheeks as she realized what she just let slip.
"Oh.."
Well that was obvious, but he understood why the Mienfoo didn't
like talking about it. "It's ok, I knew what I was getting into"Kya smiled
a bit.
They did warned him it was dangerous, but still he didn't
understood why would none do that.
"Are you sure? I'd hate for us to have to set up the mourning
parade." Carefully removing one paw from her mouth, she continued:
"We have a remembrance room set up for previous guests who...had
been adventurous, such as yourselves."
She was hesitant, and wasn't meeting him eye-to-eye. Her gaze
eventually fell upon the bag she had dropped, and she moved to pick
it up again.
((@Teius-yosaflame; that's up to your discretion, though Watt might
learn something from the Persian if he continued to interact with
her. Well, there's that chance, at the very least))
"Oh certainly. Your group has been the 20th we've received this
year. At least, we think it's been a year." Straightening up, she
brushed a stray lock of fur back underneath her maid-cap. "And I
don't know. I don't think so though? No one's ever come back to
tell us, if they've found the exit."
"If they did, they might've just left. Or, uhm...passed on, a-as it
were."
"It is, but the others uhm, haven't returned from their last
expedition. The last group took enough food to last them a few
weeks, if they've been rationing it, so we aren't too worried about
them!"
Somewhat back to her chipper self, Yin nodded. "I'm sure even if we
need to remove the lunch boxes, the bag can be reused." She sounded
quite determined.
"Of course! Here, I'll take you to the gardens first." The
Mienfoo began to lead him downstairs before pausing at the top of
the steps. She turned her head to speak to him: "Unless you'd like
to take some pre-packed snacks from our kitchens?"
"Sure I haven't" he rolled his eyes "and I can learn how to fly,
even tough I don't have wings" he was being sarcastic, joking that
even tough he has wings, he can't use them to fly. The moment he
heard footsteps he started to follow Cell around, before saying
"hey wait, didn't we go this way al-" before he took the the wrong
turn, he sighed as he kept following him, we haven't even reached
the first split yet. "Of course it ain't real, the only books that
are real are biographies or logic books like an atlas, which bore
the heck out of me, and I don't believe anybody's that lovey-dovey"
he said, going backwards
"Any will be fine"Kya said as he followed the
Mienfoo "Wait is there a garden here?" He was sure he had explored
most of the mansion, bu he didn't remembered a garden or a
remembrance room
"Just shut it." First split, to continue on or to see what sort of
things they got from the chest and that weird cloth thing? Hrm...
Cell's rumbling stomach answered the question for him, but
he didn't have the decency to be embarrased about it. "We're close
to the entrance, let's scare those Meinfoo into giving us some
food."
It was a partial suggestion. The Lucario planned to wait like, ten
seconds for a reply before heading on back up himself.
"Of course! We are self-sufficient in food and energy here." She
perked up her ears, humming as she led the way. "Hadn't Yang
explained it to you? Sir?"
"Yeah, I think he did"
Well Kya hadn't really payed attention to what the Mienfoo
said, but he did remember hearing something like that. He
shrugged. "I just don't remember seeing the gardens.. or the remembrance
room"
"You haven't been shown to the rooms, have you? The remembrance
room is beyond the master's favourite parlour. And the gardens are
uhmmm, kind of secret." She stuck her tongue out playfully,
giggling as she headed into the kitchens. Pulling on one of the
decorative candelabras, a door swung open silently. "We've plenty
of other secret passages, just for us servants to use. But you're
free to explore and find a few here and there if you plan on
staying. Sir!"
"WELL, UH.....UH! I HAVE A BEATIFULL IDEIA!" Watt yells
"...ACTUALLY, I DON'T." he stops yelling. "I WILL COME BACK LATER!
BE RIGHT BACK!" Watt then unplugged the furniture that felt on the
big kitty from him, and flied up high. Now he just had to search
for the start of the labyrinth to speed them up.
