Full support <3

Plus , regarding to it's notifications in our notifications page, it could similar to the notification we get when someone send us something through Delibird Item Delivery/Christmas gift/Sky Gift etc.

Like a single notification that could have link that would lead us to a page where all the links of forum post/profiles (of users in whose feeds/comments of feed we are mentioned) would be present.

Just suggesting this as if we get notification of every post/comment/feed separately in our notification page, our notification page might get too much untidy.

But the DID/CG/SG sotifications are on the notification page, or so I thought?

@Whoever considered this spam
May I know why? :'D

I mean whenever someone mention us, a notification on notification page would appear, like "someone has mentioned you in a feed /post / comment " and under it would be a link like "see it here" and that link would lead to a page having links of all the forms /profiles in which we are mentioned, rather than a link that would directly lead us to the profile page/forum post in which we are mentioned.

Of course the notification will appear on notification page

Edited:I apologize for my English due to which you couldn't comprehend the idea earlier , it's not my mother language so I am really sorry about it.

Yeah, I think that in order for you too be notified, it'd need a "@" in front of the word, because for people, such as me with very common names, without this someone could just enter "Furret".. like:

"I think Furret are really cute!!"

Without an "@," I would get a notification -- even thought they weren't actually talking to/about me.

Quote from main postIn settings, there will be an option to turn this on/off and a chart with the words you want to be notified of. Under that, a link to change the words, just like the links page on the userpage.

Also, not everyone points at... a lot of people uses the @ either

i support this idea, cause sometimes it is hard to keep track on all the topics i posted in, there is the bookmark-function yet but its not that effective if someone answered my postings, often i didn't see the answer for days, so a ping-function would be helpful.

the only thing which may cause trouble is, when some use this function to bug people who have their palpad on "friends only" or already refused to talk to them. maybe a loophole...

How could that disturb the palpad?

I think what Oktopi is getting at, is if someone has you blocked, or set to friends only, so you can't palpad/communicate with them, having them allow you to ping that user, would be pretty bothersome, since they'd constantly get notifications from whoever is constantly pinging them.

I support the idea of being able to ping people though, it'd be very convenient, if its' done correctly.
there'd need to be rules about this, though, since people would purposely ping others to troll them, or attempt to cause drama (which we all know, PH attracts all the drama, lol )

I have already stated support, but I have an addition I'd like to suggest: If you have blocked someone, they cannot ping you. This way, if people don't want to be contacted by this user, they won't be able to via this new feature.

I'm adding an idea of mine here:

I think we should be able to @/quote somebody on the forum threads.
Quoting a post will highlight the person's post you selected to @, and you can continue to say whatever after.

It just makes it easier to see who is talking to who.
