''i'm glad you've gotten used to this place! and Wisty doesn't live
here, actually, she lives with he parents..... though they have
rather frequent arguments so i guess you could call my home her
sanctuary? she's here quite often cause of her parents.....''
Adriane muttered.
she glanced around Rogue at the door, then looked back at the three
that surrounded her.
''you didn't hear this from me.... it's a secret so don't let
anyone else know..... but Wisteria and Crystal both have
crushes on each other and are oblivious at how obvious they
are...!'' she squealed quietly, grinning a a little.
Adeline chuckled softly, "That's adorable. They're both such kind
souls, I'm sure they'd make a great couple if they ever get to
it."
Raven only blinked, not quite sure how to respond--he did see love
as a good thing, as did most Darkness dragons, but he still had
trouble understanding how it was treated in the human world. "Do
you have anyone special, Adriane?" He asked, his curiosity almost
childish.
she blushed faintly and looked at Raven mildly surprised, then
looked away and started to fidget with a bit of her hair.
''n-no, sadly i don't..... though it would be nice to be with
someone special...'' Adriane mumbled quietly, though still loud
enough for the other's to hear.
He wasn't quite sure how to respond, so he just nodded
sympathetically and uttered a soft, "Ah." Raven looked over at
Adeline, who still kept afloat by keeping her arms across the ridge
of the pool. He tried to resist the urge to flick a bit of water at
her, but she was too open and unguarded for him not to take the
chance. She squeaked in surprise and spit out the water that had
gone into her mouth, using her legs to splash a wave at him but not
quick enough to catch him before he went under the surface,
anticipating counterattack.
Rogue laughed and held his hands up, not wanting to be part of it.
"Hey, didn't Allium say she would tag along?" He asked, glancing at
the door. Adeline paused and looked over at him, squinting in
thought. "Er, yeah. I think Wisty snatched her up, though."
Adriane stretched a bit and climbed out, shifting to her true form
before she shook herself dry, sending water droplets everywhere as
she did so.
''i'm gonna go get a shower and change, then probably go lay down''
she said.
"Ah, alright. See you around~" Adeline sang, kicking off of the
wall and flipping so she could float on her back. "Get better!"
Raven blurted enthusiastically, Rogue waving goodbye in the
background. Rogue was taken off guard by the water droplets--he had
been facing the other way when she shook--and perked up in
surprise, the water in his hair freezing up into glimmering,
perfect drops. He ran his hand through them to get them out, a
faint smile on his face in amusement.
"Cry-stie," Wisteria whined, putting her cheek on the bed and
puffing up her cheeks. "You're doing that thing again, where you're
being introverted. Isn't it exciting to get to know people?"
She only let Crystal have about two seconds to process before
bolting to her feet and beaming. "How about we show Allium around
the forest? Some of the landscapes and stuff like that." Allium
looked up with interest and Wisteria fondly remembered the times
that she and Crystal would explore the forests.
Crystal had closed her sketchbook and was hugging it to her chest
as she listened to Wisteria and huffed, but perked up when she
mentioned walking around in the forestry like old times.
''our tree house stays secret though, that is the only thing i ask
for'' she said.
"Of course! Wisty whispered, not wanting to make Allium feel
like she was being directly excluded. "That's special," she added
lightly before turning to Allium. "Matthew'll be back by the time
we get home, promise," she teased, motioning for the halfling to
stand. "C'mon!"
Allium flushed and stood, ruffling her hair in an attempt to act
like she was normal. "Alright, alright," she laughed softly,
smiling in good spirit of Wisty's teasing.
Crystal stuffed her sketchbook under her pillow and got up,
grabbing a hold of a messenger bag and a beanie off of a nearby hook.
she slung the messenger bag's strap over her head and let the bag
rest on her hip, then went to find a hairband on her desk to tie
her hair up a bit.
Wisty figured that she didn't need anything except the hairband
that was already on her wrist (although she couldn't remember if it
was hers or Crystal's) and Allium didn't have much to take. They
both waited until Crystal had gotten everything to leave the house,
Wisty brimming with energy and excitement.
she quickly tied her hair back into a small ponytail and put her
beanie on.
''lets get going then'' Crystal said, going over to the door and
slipped her sneaker's back on, then motioned for them to follow
before she left her room and headed for the front door.
"How long have you been here?" Wisty asked, looping her arm with
Allium's as they walked alongside Crystal. Allium's shoulders
tensed at the sudden touch but she quickly relaxed, trusting the
halfling full-heartedly at this point. She seemed too pure, and
Allium figured that any good friend of Adriane's was a friend to
her.
"Er... only a day or two. Adriane took us here a bit after we met
her," she replied, wondering if the others were planning on staying
in the hut. Rogue was the one she was most unsure of--he liked to
move around a lot but she was beginning to wonder if it was because
he had no place to stay.
Crystal hummed to herself as she walked along and pulled a small
portable camera out of her bag, then headed on ahead of Wisteria
and Allium to look around. the lighting is still perfect enough for a few photo's....! i
really hope i can find a few critter's along the way! she
thought cheerfully.
Wisty vaguely recognized the tune Crystal hummed and was able to
hear it even as she strayed further--their acute senses of hearing
made it a bit harder to get out of earshot. She didn't mind,
though; Wisty liked Crystal's singing voice. She had been
distracted by the tune and quickly turned her attention back to
Allium, who seemed to be taking a good look at nature around her.
"There's a pretty waterfall nearby," she told her, to which Allium
nodded.
After a few minutes of getting lost and trying to navigate their
way through the forest, Wisty finally managed to lead them to the
waterfall. "It's beautiful," Allium gushed, taking a moment to
inspect the scenery. She was beaming and seeing her so happy
brought a smile to Wisty, who stood close to Crystal.
Crystal took her hat off and put it and her camera away in her bag
and hung it up on a low hanging branch, then shifted to her true
form and laid down on her stomach next to Wisty.
''maybe a dip in the water would be nice...'' she sighed, deciding
to enjoy herself and stretch out a bit.
in the shadow's behind the rushing water of the waterfall sat a
dragon, staring out at the three with a caution filled periwinkle
blue gaze.
Wisty's eyes lightened and she switched to her dragon form,
stretching out jubilantly. Allium smiled at the two and slipped off
her shoes, running her fingers through her hair and quickly tying
it up with a rubber band. She slipped her shoes off and sat them by
the roots of the tree, resting her feet in the shallow ends of the
water. "Gimme a sec," she said to the other two, smiling back at
them. "I need to check something."
She walked across the surface of the water, lilting of her tiptoes
curiously with her hands clasped behind her back. Her eyes
glittered, almost luminescent, as she flicked her hand and shifted
the waterfall so that a sliver was open like a curtain. Her eyes
narrowed a bit as she skimmed them over the dragon, but she
refrained from showing any more hostility. "You're not waiting here
to pounce, are you?" She asked, her voice soft.
