"Me too, me too." Nathana wanted to chow down on her food and go meet the babies, but she didn't want to lose time with the good flavors, so she slowed down.
"I'm not either, by any stretch of the imagination," Khaalida giggled and leaned her head against his. "I can't wait to do that with you Faolan," She whispered.
"I know, it's hard to eat when I'm this excited," Melez said between mouthfuls.

Hecate finished not too long after, wiping her mouth before settling in to wait for Nat to finish so she could bring their plates to the sink.
Faolan smiled before kissing her sweetly and setting about finishing his meal.
Azazeal chuckled, rubbing her back. "That it is!"

Nathana spotted what Zach was doing so she hurried herself along with her final bite and began clearing the plates as well. "Zach you're a guest, please, sit." He shook his head and chuckled. "I'd like to help, the more hands the less work." She knew she wouldn't win the argument, so she went about clearing the plates she could grab before him.
Khaalida finally finished her plate and had a very satisfied grin as she stood to take her plate and Faolan's once he'd emptied it of food.
"Why thank you," Melez said in response to the compliments as she too helped clear the dishes.

Drayce set the plates aside and curled up around Eona, his wing over her back and his tail entwined with hers. They're probably on their way down now,

Eona purred, nuzzling him. She was still curled around their four eggs. She was a protective mama dragon. I can't wait to show them. And to see them hatch. They'll be so beautiful, Drayce, she told him.

Khaalida scooted in alongside Faolan, right after Hecate had gone through. Melez shadowed in with Azazael so that the others wouldn't have to wait for them. Zach let Zorn enter before him and he followed close behind.
Beautiful, just like their momma, Drayce looked up as the door opened and he rumbled happily as their friends began to enter.

Eona smiled elegantly before uncoiling herself from around the eggs and standing just behind them. "Four beautiful eggs. They haven't started moving yet but I am happy. Four little hatchlings! Not too big and not too small. I think it's just right," she announced, nuzzling a red egg with dark green vine like likes to it. She paused a moms t, sniffing the group. "Something is different...I don't believe we've met," Eona said, her gaze landing on Zach. "Khaalida smells different...more...she smells like food. As in, the delicious meal Melez made not as in I want to eat her," the dragoness hurried to clarify. Her gaze moved to Stella as she sensed the increase in power to her. "Stella is different too...and Melez!" she said at last, "You most definitely have a difference to you! What on earth happened? It has been less then a day, hasn't it? I didn't black out and miss days, did I? I heard the crying yesterday...Azazeal upset...did the appocolypse happen and we missed it?" she asked, highly confused.

Melez stepped forwards and glanced to Zach and Khaalida before lifting her amber eyes to the dragoness. "Yes, a few things have changed in the short time you've been in here," She took a breath. "I suppose starting at the beginning is the best of ideas, and I think this would work better if you saw it yourself. She focused her mind to share pictures and moments from her memories with Eona. So after the wedding you two entered the hatchery, and the rest of us headed to Stella's house for a send off prior to the honeymoon. One of Azazael's other brothers, Jael, was there. Soon after Death himself arrived and fighting broke out. I brought Nathana, Hecate, Faolan, and Stella, who'd been badly injured, back to the cave. Khaalida remained with Azazael and his brother to help fight Death. From what I know, Khaalida was the one who took the brunt of Death's assault. Although she was brought back alright. Jael showed up at the cave and took me away to some other place and we fought. Zach, She motioned to the male who was standing at the back near the door. He's the one who helped me through it all. She paused, gathering her thoughts to explain without causing panic in the new mother. Eona, Jael, uh, how to say this, Jael killed me. As soon as that happened Zach ushered my soul on to where I was judged, She let both pairs of wings out. I was reincarnated as the result of my judging. Now, Stella, took the role of Death, and with her new power she helped Khaalida be rid of her need for blood. She ate her first meal today. She knew that was a lot to take in, and she hoped that it wouldn't overload the already tired dragon.

Khaalida walked over and knelt beside Eona so she could look at the eggs. She held a hand out to one of them, her eyes on Eona's making sure she didn't overstep any boundaries.
Nathana walked over and shifted into a small gecko and perched herself on part of Eona's coils near the eggs. It was so warm and relaxing in the hatchery, and the eggs were the most beautiful things she'd seen, and she'd seen plenty of other reptile eggs.
Melez shadowed over to Eona's head and hugged her. She'd needed to do that for a while. "I missed you," She let her wings rest behind her on the floor. They looked like a split cape the way they hung off her back.

Faolan followed after Khaalida, shifting into his wolf form to sniff them delicately when Eona didn't do anything. Shifting back, he put an arm around Khaalida. "This is so cool," he whispered.
Hecate giggled, watching gecko Nathana relax in the warmth. She settled in next to the others, leaning against Eona and Drayce in a spot that wouldn't hurt them.
Azazeal sat himself down near Drayce's head, bumping him companionly. "How you holding out? They're stunning, Drayce. Absolutely stunning."
Stella gave the boys a wink before going to join the others with the dragons.
Eona nuzzled her friend, her sister. "Missed you too, silly. Something didn't feel right but I understand why now. I'm so glad you're safe. I have no idea what I'd have done without you. Come sit down next to me. I'm sure my scale's feel like massage rocks at the moment. Might help with the stress," she chuckled, spotting gecko Nat. "Nat's enjoying herself. Go ahead, Khaalida. They're pretty sturdy. It'd take a lot to hurt them now. It's really cool to feel the surface though! There's all these nerve endings in my snout and I think that might be to help check on them. Whatever it is, it's a really cool sensation to just check on them."

Khaalida delicately ran her hand along the egg nearest to her, a huge smile on her features. "They're so warm," She leaned into Faolan, her eyes on the nest. "So pretty,"
Nathana wiggled her little tail, but ended up wiggling her entire body as she heard Eona talking about her. She moved closer to the eggs and nuzzled one softly with her tiny nose.
Drayce nudged Azazael back in a playful gesture. I'm doing just fine, just making sure my other half doesn't tire herself out too much, His light blue eyes scanned over Eona's figure before settling on the nest. They're more beautiful than I ever thought they would be...
Melez moved over and sat with her back against Eona, her wings having returned to their tattoos for the moment. "How does it feel Eona? To be a momma? I know I'm very excited to be an aunt, but I can't even imagine how you feel right now." She reached a hand out to lightly stroke one of the eggs.

Faolan chuckled, nodding as he rubbed one. "Makes you wonder what their scales will look like. Are they going to share traits from their parents? Eona's mane and Drayce's horns?"
Hecate fell over laughing at Nathan's antics "Nat, you are too cute! You gorgeous reptile, you!" Reaching out, she stroked one of the eggs.
"They really are. So far, it looks like she's doing good. You both have all of us to look after you. If you need anything, let me know. I'll get it for you," Azazeal said, watching Eona and Melez talk.
Eona thought about it a moment before settling on the words. Sharing her emotions with Melez, she said, "It feels right. Like something I just remembered or finding something I had lost. I cane wait to meet them. I feel connected to them and sometimes get a feeling from the eggs telepathically. Not words. Just feelings. They are learning how to communicate slowly. But they are happy. The one Nat is nuzzling is sending out the memory of me laughing. I think they are enjoying it. They liked it when I laughed and like this. The one Khaalida is petting is sending off the feeling of stretching in their egg. I think it is a contentedness."

"Or are they going to be completely their own little dragons," Khaalida's hand continued its motion of rubbing the surface of the egg. "I wonder if this one can feel what I'm doing and if they like it?" She hesitated in her petting, but she wondered.
Nathana made a quiet chirping sound as she laughed, and used one of her tiny hands to pat the egg. Compared to her, the egg was huge, but that didn't stop the little gecko of a Nat from basically hugging it.
Thank you Azazael, I'll let you know. Drayce nudged Azazael a little as he followed the other's gaze. If they're sisters that makes us brothers right? A toothy grin spread across his jaw.
Melez smiled and nodded. "That sounds just about right," She turned and hugged Eona. "They're going to grow up so loved! I don't know if they're the lucky ones, or if we are since we get to raise them!"

Faolan cocked his head, wondering himself. "I would like to think so. Eona and Drayce would sense if something was amiss, right?" He asked.
Hecate giggled before leaning in to kiss the top of Nat's head. "Cutie. Bet you that one is going to think you the most amazing thing in the world. You'll probably be it's favorite."
Azazeal laughed, nodding. "Aye, that it would. And if it didn't, just what we've been through has made us brothers."
Eona laughed, nuzzling her back to return the hug. "I know I am the lucky one. All of you and them...it's wonderful. I love you all so much," she said.

Khaalida looked over to Eona and then to Drayce before looking back to the egg. "I would like to think so too," She withdrew her hand and watched the egg as though she was looking for a sign of discomfort.
When Hecate kissed her head, Nat turned so she could return the kiss with a tiny one of her own on Hecate's cheek. Her eyes practically sparkled as she thought of what the little dragons would think of her.
You do have a point there, Drayce barked a couple of laughs. It's nice to have a brother. He smiled as he watched the hug between Eona and Melez.
"And we all love you, Eona," Melez was sure she was on cloud nine. It was comfortably warm, she was surrounded by friends and family, there were little ones on the way, and their biggest threat was no more.

Faolan docked his head again, studying the egg. It didn't really do much of anything.
"I agree," Azazeal chuckled, meaning Zorn and the guys of their group. "So what genders do you think they'll be?"
Eona smiled, closing her eyes. She wasn't sleeping but she certainly would if the quiet warmth kept up.

Khaalida, upon seeing no change in the dragons or the egg, slowly resumed her gentle stroking, simply hoping that the dragon inside either didn't notice, or at least liked what she was doing.
Drayce took a deep breath and tilted his head back and forth. All of them are strong, I can feel that, I think that at least two, if not three are male. I'm hoping there's a little lady in there, and that she'll look like her mother,
Melez laid down right next to Eona's large head, happily snuggling as she relaxed, feeling perfectly at ease.
Nathana crawled over to Hecate and shifted into a slightly larger lizard to curl around her shoulders, her tail gently wrapping around her neck like a necklace. She was careful with her claws so no accidental scratching would occur.

Faolan wrapped an arm around her waist and simply enjoyed sitting next to her.
"Our numbers will catch up to the girls," Azazeal chuckled, teasing. "But I know what you mean. If Melez and I have kids I would like one to get her looks. She's beautiful in every way I know how to be."
The dragoness began to drift off, her breath evening out.
Hecate had giggled at the kiss and nuzzled Nathan as a bigger lizard. "Hey. Enjoying all of this? Must be pretty sweet to see first hand. I know I am freaking out!"
