She turns to him with a white tear resting on her cheek. "W...
What? You... Aren't scared of my other side?" What did he
just say?!?!? If I heard him correctly, he's not afraid of
you... He hasn't seen me in full swing... Don't you
dare! "Draco... But... I can't control my power... My other
side can..."
Spencer couldn't help but smile at Sean's response but didn't
answer.
When Sean told him he would have to guess his power, he groaned. "I
really don't feel like playing the whole guessing game right now,
why don't you just ease up and tell me? I'll show you mine
if you just tell me yours." he offered Sean with a smirk while
following him to the cafeteria.
Upon entering, Spencer saw Shay sitting alone at a table and
sighed. "I swear, I'm like her only friend. She always waits for
me." he told Sean in an annoyed tone while taking an apple and
water bottle and placing it on his tray. He stared at the other
options to choose from. "Should I get the macaroni, salad ... or
the sandwich..." he asked himself aloud in a quiet, almost whisper,
tone.
"Of course I'm not scared of your other side. I don't care if you
can control your power or your other side, no matter what you or
your other does to me I won't care and I won't stop being your
friend. Even if you attack me or kill me, I will stay your friend"
Draco said
Amy sighed and peered around. No-one to talk to still. That guy
was right. Was I too weird and creepy when I was just trying to be
nice? Am I really that much of a dumb blond? Am I a freak...
Amy thought, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth. I want
to go home, it sounds like a whining kid but I don't care...
Amy sighed and looked at the floor.
"D... Draco..." She sits up straight and turns around to face him.
"You should be scared... You don't know how painful I can make
your death... Stop... Hehe You can't stay our friend if
you're dead... Enough..." She gets up and runs out of the
cafeteria.
Amy looked over at Seraphina run off upset, she was Seraphina's
friend and couldn't see her like this. She unclenched her fists and
looked up, she ran after her. "Seraphina! Wait!" Amy ran as fast as
she could to catch up with her. Who hurt her? What happened to
her? She thought, her mind now set on cheering up her beloved
friend.
Seraphina kept running. "Leaveus alone!" She said in
two voices as she ran. Stop it! Just stop! No, and you can't
make me! I'm going to keep fighting until one of us wins! But
if one of us wins then we'll both die! That's life! She
ran until she was outside the school. The blue sky contrasting with
her red hair.
Taking another bite of his apple, Sean searched Spencer's sister
from the cafeteria with his gaze while absentmindedly listening to
Spencer wondering what he should eat aloud. Sean returned his gaze
on the other guy as he finally responded to his proposition from
earlier, "Wouldn't showing
your powers get you in trouble? It's boring but even stupid rules
are rules." Truthfully, he was slightly curious as to what
Spencer's powers were and had started considering the offer he had
been given. However, he didn't exactly want to get his new friend
in trouble right away.
"Seraphina! Please!" Amy called, she tried to get to her so much
that she forgot there was a gate, hence running straight into it.
She tell to the floor, but quickly shook her head. "Darn it." She
said quietly, standing up and dusting herself off. She peered
around to make sure no one saw her idiotic action.
Brandon chuckled. "Okay. I'll remember that." Out of the corner of
his eye, he noticed a girl from before running out of the
cafeteria. What's wrong with her? "You think she's okay?" He
said right before she exited. Everyone seems to be.. depressed
about their powers? He thought, realizing a whole portion of
the students around them were looking pretty sad with themselves.
Weird.
Sasha shrugged. Not trying to feel cold-hearted, but she could
honestly care less. "To be honest, no she's probably not." Sasha's
gaze trailed across the students; some were hooking up. She
despised their quick to trust manner, but she then realized she had
nearly done the same with a guy who was at least two years older
than her.
Seraphina stopped in the middle of the path on the way to the town.
You're ruining my life! No, I'm just having my life, you're
the one ruining it... Why don't you just crawl into a hole and
die! Okay, i'll drag you with me! Please... just stop
messing with my life... Its my life too and I won't stop and you
can't make me! She falls to her knees and feels her body
beginning to heat up. What are you doing? No... Don't...
Please... Not again...
Spencer ended up taking the bowl of macaroni and placed it on his
tray before walking to the table where his sister had been sitting.
"You see, I don't really care about these rules," he started while
taking a seat across from his twin, "Besides, they're not gonna do
anything rash on my first day. But, you have to promise you'll tell
me your power, okay?"
Shay looked up from her tray as she slowly connected the dots to
realize what Spencer was about to do. "Spencer, don't do it you'll
get in trouble." she warned in a whisper loud enough for both
Spencer and Sean to hear. Spencer flicked his wrist a few times at
Shay to quiet her. "I just said I don't care." he pointed out while
taking a bite out of his apple.
Brandon sighed, staring at the ground. Do things really get this
awkward for social people? "I didn't do anything wrong, did
I...? To make you mad?" He didn't like talking about this sort of
thing, but he was as curious as he was ashamed if he really did.
I'm guessing it is. He thought a little sadly.
Amy stretched and peered around. Gone, nowhere, out of sight. Oh
great... Amy thought, feeling guilty. She walked back inside
and looked over at Draco. She hesitated, but decided to try to talk
to him once more. "She... Left the premesis. Left the gates, I
think into town." She muttered, feeling awkward about him offending
her. She tapped her foot on the ground, waiting for a responce.
Sasha shook her head. "Don't mind me, it's just that... I don't
really talk to anyone. Even my family."
She sat down on a lunch bench and hugged her knees to her chest.
"It's just, so lonely, with these stupid so-called powers. Even
mine. Which is useless in every way possible." She closed her eyes
as a seagull laughed in her mind.
Almost everyone here is looking all sad and it's only lunch.
"I know what that's like. I've been lonely and practically useless
my whole life." He paused and took in a small breath. "But so far,
you're the only person who even talked to me. Everyone seems to
either hate me or ignore me for some reason, and yet you actually
bothered to say 'hi.' So... thanks." He wasn't sure if that helped
at all or not, but for once he felt like he actually might make a
friend. Powers aren't useless. If they're called powers, then
they have a reason for use. So don't we all?
Through the fog of her sadness, she felt a beam of happiness shine
through the heavy mist. She smiled. "If you are anti-social, I
don't know what the heck I am." She meant it as a joke, and her
tone was light and happy. When the seagull cawed in her head, it
was nothing compared to the pounding of her heart.
Sean smirked as he followed Spencer over to the table where his
sister was already sitting. "You?
Not caring about rules? You must be kidding me," Sean
remarked sarcastically as he sat down on the table beside Spencer.
Sean stabbed his fork into the bowl of macaroni and shoveled some
of it into his mouth while Spencer's sister pointed out the
potential trouble awaiting around the corner as well. After his new
friend had yet again announced his disregard towards the rules,
Sean pointed at Spencer with the piece of cutlery in his hand,
"Alright, you've got yourself a
deal. It ain't my fault if you'll get in trouble though."
The lad waved the fork dismissively before dumping his salad into
the macaroni bowl as well. He ignored the salad that had fallen
onto his tray instead of the bowl and stuffed some of the
salad/macaroni mixture into his mouth.
He smiled slightly, pushing away his depression. "Then you must be
the social one without knowing it; that's pretty much what you've
been since yesterday." He remarked, half-admitting it. That was
better than I expected. "So.. next class is science, right?" He
started to change the subject, but still showed a feeling of
happiness he rarely experienced before. Finally, a class I'm
good at!
