Besides, I wouldn't want to do anything that'd upset my first friend at this dumb academy anyway." he assured while looking down at the table. He noticed an plastic knife on Shay's tray that seemed to no longer have purpose and tapped Sean on the shoulder. "Watch the knife." he directed as he rubbed his hands together. He exhaled deeply with his eyes closed, then opened them to watch the knife carefully. He pointed his index & middle finger at the knife and rotated his wrist backwards to bring his fingers closer to him and pointed upward at his forehead, causing the knife to levitate off Shay's tray slightly. He brought his hand higher and as a result the knife levitated higher. He then repeatedly motioned his fingers in a hook-like form, causing the knife to move closer to him. He smiled, looking away from the knife and at Sean. "My power is Telekinesis." he told him happily.
Spencer started to feel a sneeze coming and attempted to stop it by using the two fingers he was using the levitate the knife with to hold his nostrils but failed, sharply shaking his hand towards Shay, causing the knife to fly at her. Shay flinched while screaming and lifting her two hands up, freezing the knife in the air. She opened her eyes and saw the knife suspended in the air and no longer hurling toward her and slapped it downward onto the table. "Spencer! Be careful! We can get in so much trouble!" she told him angrily but Spencer just sniffled the snot back in his nose and smiled at Sean.
Sean gave a small huff at Spencer's assuring words, that were sickly sweet in a way, but he couldn't stop a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth either. He didn't get to reply anything before he felt a tap on his shoulder and Spencer told him to look at a stupid knife. Not that he had planned on replying anything either way. Sean didn't exactly follow his friend's order to watch the boring knife either as his attention was directed to Spencer's hands as the boy in question started rubbing them together. Arching an eyebrow at the weird mannerism, Sean lifted his eyes to look at Spencer's face when he heard the deep exhale, only to discover he had closed his eyes. Sean let his eyes linger on the other boy's profile until Spencer opened his eyes again, which was when Sean snapped his attention back on the knife. A smile spread on the lad's face when the knife started levitating slowly as Spencer was doing some weird fancy looking motions with his hand.
"My power is Telekinesis." Sean's focus on the knife was broken when he heard Spencer speak and he turned his head to meet the other boy's gaze. I can see that. was what Sean was about to reply when his dumbass friend sneezed and almost impaled his own sister with the knife he had been playing with. Thankfully, said sister appeared to be telekinetic or something similar as well. Despite the fact that the situation had been potentially rather dangerous, Sean couldn't help chuckling at Spencer as the guy sniffled snot back in his nose while smiling at him. The guy was either stupid or a bit crazy. Or both. Amused, Sean shook his head slightly as he snickered, "Okay, that's neat... Just don't play with sharp objects around me, my powers ain't as convenient as your sister's."
Shay left the cafeteria at the sound of the bell and made her way to the science class.
Spencer, again, decided to wait for Sean to get up and get to class. He seemed to have taken a liking to this boy for some odd reason and it wasn't just a "friendship". He'd only known him for maybe two hours, but he already felt some kind of connection to him. "What is your power anyway?" the blonde asked while running his fingers through his own hair.
Sasha tapped her pencil against her temple, a little unimpressed; Mr. Pratt was just a show-off. She flicked her gaze to her textbook, where the man was reciting, not exactly word for word, but just barely. Her eyes followed, not really absorbing anything.
