Any players who do not battle during this time period will be disqualified. Participants must begin the third and final round of battles on August 1, 2015 from the time the second round ends to one hour afterwards. Any players who do not battle during this time period will be disqualified. (Should one participant be entirely responsible, such as by rejecting battle requests or by not being online, the other will not be penalized and will receive an automatic victory.)
All battles must take place in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. For compatibility reasons, any previous versions, including Pokémon X and Y, are banned. As such, Kalos Rules do not apply, and items, moves and Abilities exclusive to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are permitted.
Each participant must, on entering, select one of the eighteen Pokémon types. Exclusively Pokémon of that type, including dual-type Pokémon, may be entered.
If a Pokémon will change in type upon Mega Evolving, it may be entered in a team of the new type provided that it undergoes the appropriate Mega Evolution on the first turn that it is capable of performing an action. For example, if a Pinsir is entered on a Flying-type team, it must Mega Evolve as soon as it is able. If said Pinsir takes any action without Mega Evolving (including switching out before Mega Evolving), the user of the Flying-type team is disqualified. However, if a Pinsir is entered on a Bug-type team, it may Mega Evolve at its Trainer's discretion, because it will remain at least partially Bug-type regardless of form. For another example, on a Dragon-type team, a Charizard must immediately Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X specifically. If said Charizard takes any action without Mega Evolving (including switching out before Mega Evolving), or Mega Evolves into a Mega Charizard Y, the user of the Dragon-type team is disqualified. However, if a Charizard is entered on a Fire-type team, it may Mega Evolve into either form at its Trainer's discretion.
If a Pokémon will lose a type upon Mega Evolving, it may not undergo Mega Evolution if on a team specializing in the lost type. For example, on a Rock-type team, Aggron may not Mega Evolve, because it would then no longer be Rock-type. However, Aggron may Mega Evolve on a Steel-type team, because it would retain the Steel type on Mega Evolving. For another example, on a Flying-type team, a Charizard may not Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X, because it would no longer be Flying-type. However, a Charizard may remain in its normal form or Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard Y at its Trainer's discretion, as both of those forms are Flying-type; additionally, a Charizard on a Fire-type team may Mega Evolve into either form at its Trainer's discretion, as every form of Charizard is part Fire-type.
All participants must raise a full team of six Pokémon after entering before the tournament begins. No Pokémon obtained prior to the start of the tournament may be entered. The prize contains real money, so do NOT lie about this. That is fraud and is illegal. You can be sued.
Failure to finish a team of six Pokémon within the time constraints will not result in disqualification, but in fighting normally with whatever Pokémon have been finished in time. It is a disadvantage, but it is still possible to win the prize with a team of fewer Pokémon or a team of Pokémon that are have not been trained fully.
The moves known, held item, Ability and species of an entered Pokémon cannot be changed during the tournament.
All Pokémon must have the participant as their original trainer; no traded Pokémon may be entered.
All Pokémon used in this tournament must have been obtained and trained legitimately, without any modification by any external program. Many people claim that if a Pokémon appears legitimate and nothing impossible has been done to it, it is fair to use in battle. However, in this tournament, that is not the case. Because of the restrictions on teams regarding types, team building is a key part of the tournament, and the act of creating and properly training a team is no less important (if not drastically more so) than how Trainers go on to battle with it in the tournament; cheating to build a team of "perfect" Pokémon is unfair to legitimate players who may be unable to obtain six perfect Pokémon within so limited a time frame, even if they are "possible to get" over a much, much more extensive period of time. The prize contains real money, so do NOT lie about this. That is fraud and is illegal. You can be sued.
All battles in the tournament will be single battles.
The Pokémon Mewtwo, Deoxys, Phione, and Zygarde; any Mythical Pokémon; and any Pokémon used on the box art of any core series Pokémon game from Pokémon Emerald Version and onwards may not be used in the tournament. For reference, that means that any Pokémon banned from use in the Battle Maison is not permitted in this tournament.
