Bump, this would still be a useful update.

The idea of the bait was meant to be more of a solution to energy preventing longer chains. I do think those two ideas are better solutions. I can add those ideas to the main post if you'd like.

I looked in the search section for awhile, and saw nothing about this idea so I decided to suggest it.

In the main series game there's a secret chaining method called "Chain Fishing". The idea is simple, the more pokemon you catch in a row, the increase of the shiny rate. Sound easy right? Well the game makes it harder by adding ways for the chain to break. Didn't get a bite? The chain is broken. Did you move to a different spot to fish? The chain is broken. Did the pokemon get away? Broken. You can use pokemon with suction cups, or sticky hold to increase the chance of finding a pokemon to make this method easier since those two abilies increase the odds of getting bites.

You could add chain fishing to pokemon as it in the main series, where as long as you stay in the beach and fish, the odds of finding shinies increase as you catch more pokemon, this could stack with the shiny bait as well. This brings up the question of, what happens if you run out of energy?

My solution to this problem is to add a type of "chain bait" that makes chain fishing easier as you have bait. It could be something like, if you have the "chain bait" equipped when finding a pokemon, you can have a short "grace period" where leaving the beach is allowed. Let's say it's long enough to buy some energy, or get a quick drink from your kitchen. With this bait method it'd also have a small reference to the main series with the previously mentioned sticky hold, and suction cup abilities. Leah could require pokemon like inkay or octillery who have that ability for the "chain bait". This also could add a risk variant of chain fishing with the previously mentioned shiny bait. To avoid shinies being too easy, you could main chains break if you stop using the "chain bait", switch baits, or run out of "chain bait" forcing people to get more with the "grace period".

For people who fish for items, the chain bait could also have a secondary effect where items don't spawn, or items won't break the chain, but could use the bait up or something.

I was thinking after a person catches a set amount of every specie available in the beach they can trade them for a new rod. This will be a permanent rod.
The amount can depend on rarity.
lets say:
50 commons of every specie
25 medium
10 rare
5 specials

the new rod will be able to make a chain.
Everyday a person will be allotted a random poke of random rarity
The rod will only be able to fish up that pokemon that day.

since you can only catch a specific pokemon the chain will work
if you change the page. or fail to fish the poke.
the chain breaks.

every consecutive chain increases shiny chance with a max of 5 chain (not to make shinies too easy)

catching a lot of lower rarity shinies increases the chance of getting a higher rarity shiny. like shadow radar

Every Day you can choose to give leah 50 pokes (can be of different specie) of a single rarity.
And she will give you access to a special spot on the beach and a special rod (not permanent).
You can chain a pokemon of said rarity with the rod. (if you give 50 commons you get a chance at a common shiny and so on.)
Chain can be broken if:
Reset occurs (at reset you also return the rod back to Leah and lose permission to enter the area until you pay her again.)
you fail to fish the poke
exit the page

there will be a separate spot for beach exclusive shinies that occasionally Leah might take you to.

Opening new tabs is nice since it won't interrupt what you're doing to click something like the treasure hunt notification, or tall grass. If you don't want multiple tabs to be opened, you can just close them when you're done. I don't think this is a big enough issue to warrant an update to how it works.

A mega powered diancie most likely has very little/no value. You need a diancie egg entry to trade for it, and the first one you can get is already mega powered.

Bump, there isn't any reason not to add the market insider to a place people can access it. It'd help a lot of users.

The price of leftovers is most likely inflated due to the lack of interest in the battle mode of pokeheroes. You may have a hard time selling it due to this as well.

So I noticed there was a hidden feature on pokeheroes called "Market Insider", as well as a very outdated price check forum. So my suggestion is to add the Market Insider feature to the "Set up new trade" part of the GTS and/or Auction House. Something like this. This may also require the market insider to gain a search button because the current version doesn't have one.

The current method to check prices: https://pokeheroes.com/stonks?i=(Item name) for items, and https://pokeheroes.com/stonks?p=(Pokemon Name) for pokemon. This is very obscure, and new players won't be able to find it on their own.

I have a followup question relating to the 5.1 rule. Would this include using multiple devices to interact? For example, a laptop and a smartphone with two different clicklists. You could have a the newest adoption clicklist, and a friend storage running to have two different large clicklists. This provides an advantage as you can interact twice as fast to a player with one device.

You'd probably have an easier time selling the items and pokemon separately. I'd go to the item market to check values on the items, and Dialga is probably worth about 50k-100k due to the summon item being fairly valuable. Giga Eevee would be slightly lower than the dynamax crystal cost. (People are probably more willing to buy the crystals since they get a choice, same thing with megas.)

Giga charizard would be worth less than the 5 dynamax crystals. How much less is up to the seller/buyer.

This isn't really a gamebreaking issue, but there is a small oversight to where people can receive dex rewards via wonder trade. I listed a diancie in wonder trade, and the user Ren~ was able to receive it despite not completing the kalos dex.

BeepBeepBirthdayMareep Male would be 200k, female probably 225k. You'd likely get the same price for both genders though. Popplio is one of the few starters I feel some people would want a female for.

No, shiny mega pokemon do have a price. Shiny mega typically go for similar amounts depending on rarity. It's no different than how nuggets can be sold for various prices, or anything else.

@beepbeepbirthdaymareep
Mega powered mareep is on the front page
Mega power shiny mareep is around 2k-3k nuggets, but really just whatever the seller/buyer are willing to agree to.
Mega shiny mareep does not exist.
Nuggets are around 1700-2000 PD each

This is the suggestion forum, things here are suggestions, and not actually features. (some end up features, this one is not currently one.)

pandayays123 gyrados is so common, you'd be lucky to get 100pd for it.

I would personally love this idea. If you don't mind me adding onto it, I'd love to see a username history in someones profile to help avoid confusion for missed feeds.

That's a lot of bumps... I personally like this idea, since we already have similarly useless features that give plushies, such as the shiny ditto plushie. Like people said before, the fountain is used for the boosts, but having a plushie drop for getting nothing is a nice bonus. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want that.

While I do think this is a good idea, I really think this will lower the price of shiny events drastically. Even if it's harder to get, the amount of players on this site would make shiny events far more common. Mega-Powered events may become worthless, which isn't very fair to the users that spent months, or even years on shiny mega event hunts. One solution could be to make a separate currency that can't be used for event passes, but rather single eggs. It would make shiny hunting harder, but would still make the events accessible to everyone.
