"No. I think they just talked just thee three of them why they're fighting. My dad will be fine, though. He will not be tied up like us," said Cassius.

Cassius turned to Evangelina, while she was talking. Cassius noticed Evangelina paused.

"Lina, is there something wrong about me?" questioned Cassius. He doesn't move and talk like him, serious and quiet.

She was trying not to blush, but she turned pink nonetheless. She really liked it when she called him Lina. It made her heart skip a beat and butterflies dance in her stomach.

After a few hours standing at the post, 3:45 PM. It's started to rain. All soldiers went to their tent, due to heavy rains, while Cassius resisted the heavy rain.

"Lina, are you okay there?" said Cassius.

Evangelina shivered but nodded. Her dress was soaked, making the already heavy cloth even heavier. She was cold and hungry and tired.

"At least we have plenty to drink," she gave him a small smile. She turned her face up and opened her mouth, catching some rain. "How are you, Cassius?"

"Hopefully s-s-soon," Evangelina smiled. Her heart still skipped a beat when he said her name. She was good to keep standing there as long as he said her name.

"W-w-what did you d-d-do before this started?" She asked. "I was t-t-training to be a nurse. But my d-d-dad and mom said it was t-t-too dangerous to keep training. I guess I s-s-should have listened."

"But, y-y-y-you chose the right p-p-path. You have helped m-m-many patients, when you were in Kentucky. Many people were happy, because you t-t-treated your patients so much. S-S-S-So no need to b-b-b-blame yourself," said Cassius. "I just want you to b-b-be o-o-optimistic," said Cassius shivered and smiled at Evangelina.

"I know. I love healing others g-g-get well. I meant I should have s-s-stayed home until this was o-o-over. A schoolteacher, huh? Well, I t-t-think you'd be good at that," She smiled at him, rubbing her arms. She looked over at the men peaking out at them from the warmth and safety of their tents. She turned her back on them and looked up at Cassius. "W-w-why do you call me Lina? Only m-m-my best friend Sera has ever c-c-called me that."

"Because I hate to pronounce long names. It just elongated my sentence. Besides, Lina is a nice name," said Cassius.

"I thought you are a b-b-b-b-bad person when we're on the first encounter, b-b-b-but you're v-v-v-v-very nice person. Even though we just first m-m-m-met yesterday," said Cassius and shivered.

Suddenly, Isaac, Kyle and Paul carries the parasol and came closer to Cassius.

"Here, Cassius. I like to give you this parasol," said Isaac, covering Cassius using his parasol.

"I thought this parasol is for sunny days only," said Cassius.

"Yes, but it's also works when it's raining, too," said Isaac.

"Please, cover L-L-L-Lina, too. The p-p-p-parasol. Please," said Cassius shivered.

"Oh!" Evangelina said to his explanation. She blushed when he said she was nice. "Well, I t-t-think you are very sweet."

She smiled at him, her heart pounding in her chest.

When he told his friends to give her the parasol, she said, "Why d-d-don't we share it? T-t-then we can both stay cry. And m-m-maybe get warmer."

She stepped under it with him and smiled shyly up at him.

"If you said so," said Cassius smiled. "Please cover L-L-Lina from the rain, too."

Suddenly, after Com. Madison and Com. Willis defending themselves from Gen. Erickson. Com. Madison came closer to Cassius, carries his parasol and covers Evangelina from the rain.

"I'll do it," said Com. Madison, covering Evangelina from the rain. "I still don't trust you, Ms. Lovelace, but I'm doing this, because Cassius said so. So, I'll be the one who will shield you from the rain. I don't want hostages suffer very much."

"Thanks, Dad," said Cassius.

"Anything for my brave son," said Com. Madison, started to smile. Cassius smiled, too.

"I don't want your forgiveness. My son did that on purpose, to fled you in this nation. He managed to hurt himself, because he wants to protect you," replied Com. Madison to Evangelina. "I also don't want to see some people from United States, because I told him, while he was in senior high. But, that doesn't mean my hatred to you won't last forever. Remember my words, Ms. Lovelace," said Com. Madison.

Isaac, Kyle and Paul listened to what Com. Madison said.

"Don't worry, Cassius. We'll be staying here after the rain stopped," said Kyle and smiled.

"Thank you everyone. You don't let me down," said Cassius and smiled.

"Don't worry, son. We're here for you," said Com. Madison and pats on Cassius's shoulder simultaneously.

"No need for pardon, ---," Cassius stopped when suddenly, the heavy rain stopped.

"I guess the heavy rain just stopped," said Isaac.

"I think we should be back to our tents," said Kyle.

Then, Isaac, Kyle, Paul and Com. Madison closed the parasols. Then, Isaac, Kyle and Paul started to leave.

"See you later, lovebirds," said Isaac before leaving.

"Wh-What!?" said Cassius.

Upon hearing this, Com. Madison gets real mad.

"Lt. Sheridan," yelled Com. Madison to Isaac.

"Y-Yes, Commander?" said Isaac, stopped from walking and terrified. Isaac turned to Com. Madison.

"Later, Isaac," grinned Kyle and Paul simultaneously, while heading to their tents.

"Come here," said Com. Madison and Isaac came closer to Com. Madison.

"Wh-What is it, Commander?" said Isaac, terrified.

"Give me 70 push-ups," said Com. Madison.

"But, I was just jo--" said Isaac.

"90," yelled Com. Madison.

"Yes, commander," then, Isaac started to push-up. Then, Kyle and Paul went to their tents, and peeks Isaac doing push-ups.

"Poor lady luck! He was busted," said Kyle, laughing.

"I know. He shouldn't said that if Cassius's father wasn't there," said Paul, laughed.

Evangelina turned bright red! He'd--he'd just assumed...She looked at Cassius and blushed harder. Her heart was pounding and she feared he could hear it. She focused on making it slow down.

"I...Um..." she didn't know how to respond to the teasing. But for once, she wasn't mad at them for making fun of her. She kind of liked it.

"Faster!" yelled Com. Madison.

Cassius turned to Evangelina.

"What is it? What's wrong? The teasing part? ... Well, they're teasing me all the time. But I never heard they teased me 'lovebirds'. It's the first time I heard that word," said Cassius.

"57-58-59-60-61...," Isaac still doing push-ups.

Kyle and Paul just peek at Isaac doing push-ups and laughed.

She didn't trust herself to speak so she smiled and nodded instead. He was so cute. And such a guy with that response. Girls took all of that kind of stuff to heart. So to her, that comment had been more then just teasing. There was a reason Isaac had said it. And she hoped he was right. She had certainly fallen for the charming boy in front of her.
