Cassius think out something that he can distract Hector. He saw a lots of pebbles and a knife. He picked the pebbles and throw it elsewhere other than Hector's area.

"Whoth theh? (Who's there?)," said Hector and went to the area where Cassius throw.

When Hector walked to the area where Cassius threw, he ducks and runs to the opposite way, where Hector walked. When Hector is far enough to make their chance to escape, he grabbed his knife and shotgun and went to Evangelina to help her escape. When he's at the post, he cut the rope.

"Hold still," said Cassius, while he cuts the rope.

"You...But I thought you left!" Evangelina whispered. "I didn't see you and I thought you just didn't want to help."

He'd cut the ropes and she began the difficult process of trying to stand up on her own. She had managed to roll over so she was face down in on the ground but couldn't get any farther then that.

"I hate to ask, but can you please help me stand up?" Evangelina asked.

Cassius sighed.

"I hate to say this, but, you can ride me at my back," said Cassius with embarrassment. Cassius isn't comfortable riding a girl on his back.

"Your going to carry me on your back? How far? With this on, I'm too heavy to go anywhere fast," She told him, pointing to her heavy skirts.

"Are you an idiot? The horse is just few meters away. You have difficulties to walk, remember?" yelled Cassius.

Suddenly, Hector returned to the area. When he returned, ...

"Hey, you," said Hector.

"Oh shoot, Hector's back. Hurry! Ride me in the back," said Cassius seriously.

"Oh...they didn't take the horses?" She asked, placing her arms around his neck to keep from falling off of him

"Will you stop talking?" said Cassius seriously while running, while Hector chases them.

"Hey, stop it right there and return with that girl immediately," said Hector while chasing them. "Or else, I will shoot...," Hector forgets to carry along his shotgun. "Oh no, my shotgun."

Then, they walked through the forest and hides while Evangelina piggy-banks Cassius. Then, he walked to the nearest trees, where herd of horses placed.

"Excuse me for being confused and trying to understand," she snorted back at him.
She got off of his back and walked over to a horse

"You have to leave Confederate States now, returned to your hometown in Kentucky and never return here. It's dangerous here for you," said Cassius seriously with pity.

Then, Cassius pulls the horse, along with Evangelina to the other exit through the forest to Tennessee.

"Please, don't tell anyone, especially the Union Army and your father, that I helped you escape here in South Carolina," said Cassius. "Please, please. I don't want you to see your face in this Confederate States, for your safety. If you return here, I can't help you anymore, I'm tired," said Cassius. "I think this forest us safe for the Union, such as yourselves. It may lead to Tennessee, but don't worry, a few miles more will be heading to Kentucky."

Then, Cassius saw a whip and picks it up.

"No," Evangelina told him, deadly serious. "I'll leave, right after I've warned my father and saved his unit from those scumbags. I know you are a part of that unit, but you're different. I hope you don't get hurt."

With that, she climbed up onto the horse with practiced ease and yelled out a command to get the horse moving.

"I know, that's why you should leave this part of the place. I think your father is in Kentucky," said Cassius.

Then, he whipped the horse away from the forest.

When Hector saw them on the other side of the farm, Cassius went to the forest and headed to the pier to Fort Sumter. Luckily, the boat was about to leave. Cassius rushed at the boat.

"Whew! I've been searching for minutes to find the shotgun. What did I miss?," said Cassius.

"Where have you been? It's a good thing the boat was about to leave," said Kyle.

"Did you listened to me a while ago," said Cassius.

"Sorry," said Kyle.

"Hey, where are you up to?" said Isaac.

"Did you listened to me a while ago? I was just finding my shotgun. Took me minutes to find it," said Cassius.

"It's a good thing the boat was about to leave," said Isaac.

Then, the boat started to leave.

Evangelina had taken off heading to Fort Sumpter. If she hurried, she could beat them there. Assuming she could find someone with a boat to help her get there!

The river lay about another ten minutes of hard riding away and the horse was exhausted.

"Please, honey, just a little longer. I promise I'll bring you all the carrots and apples you can eat if you can just get me there," she told the horse.

He whinnied and put on a boost of speed.

After the boat left the pier and headed to Fort Sumter, Cassius saw Evangelina, shocked. Cassius suddenly waved her to go back. She cannot see it, due to a small view from the boat. He suddenly acting strange. He waved so much, so she can read the signal. The soldiers on the boat stared at Cassius.

"Cassius, are you okay?" said Kyle.

"I think you need to calm down," said Isaac.

Then, Cassius turned to everyone in the boat.

"Eh?" said Cassius.

"What are you doing?" said Isaac.

"I was just, ... warned the townspeople to stay away from the fort. It's dangerous to them," said Cassius sarcastically.

"Oh," said Isaac. Then, the soldiers continued to watch and search, until they stopped and reached their destination.

Evangelina stopped at the rivers edge and looked about. A small rowboat was tied up a few yards away so she ran to it. She didn't see anyone but needed to reach her father and warn him!

She jumped inside and untied the boat from the dock. She grabbed the oars and began to row as fast as she could.

Cassius realized that the boat stopped. Cassius can see clearly, even at night, that nobody was inside the fort.

"You're ready to aim?" yelled Com. Madison.

"Yes, commander," yelled everyone.

"Aim..." said Com. Madison.

Evangelina kept rowing until she heard cannon fire. She froze and looked about. There were other boats on the river.

She saw the flash of another cannon going off and ducked down. She began to row again, trying to stay out of sight

"FIRE!," shouted Com. Madison.

The cannon started to explode. The fort was bombarded.

"Keep bombarding," said Com. Madison. "Bombard until no walls can be seen," said Com. Madison.

Then, after few minutes. The fort turned into a ruins.

"Very good, soldiers. We claimed, VICTORY!" said Com. Madison.

The soldiers shouted with joy.

"Now, let's get back to the camp, and let's celebrate," said Com. Madison.

The boats are now heading to the pier.

Evangelina sat there, shocked. She didn't know what to do. She decided to row back to where she'd left the horse and go home...Maybe he wasn't there?

When she did reach the shore, she was grabbed about the waist as she tied up the boat.

When they reach the pier, Cassius first gets down the boat. Cassius pretended to see the fort and was searching for Evangelina. He noticed that Evangelina left South Carolina.

"Nice to see the ruined fort, eh, Cassius?" said Isaac smiling.

"Yes," said Cassius.

"It's a good thing Hector didn't come here on the boat on time," said Isaac.

"Yeah," said Cassius.

"By the way, where's Hector?" said Kyle.

"I don't know," said Isaac.

"Let's head back to the camp, shall we?" said Cassius.

"Yes," said Kyle.

Then, they left the pier. Back at the campsite, the officials were shocked.

"What's going on?" said Kyle.

The soldiers gathered at the center of the camp. So as they.

"Did you try to escape Ms. Lovelace?" said Gen. Erickson.

"N-No, thir. It wath Cathiuth," said Hector.

"Lies," yelled Gen. Erickson and slapped him harder.

"Hey, look. It's Cassius," said the unnamed Confederate Army.

All solders looked at Cassius, especially Isaac and Kyle.

"M-Me? W-What did I do?" said Cassius.

Hector came closer to Cassius.

"You were the one who try to ethcape Evanthelina, am I right?" said Hector.

"Me? No! What kind of question is that're you asking me?" said Cassius, pretended to be serious.

"Lieth! LIETH!" said Hector.

"Hey, I saw Cassius on the boat," said Kyle.

"What? He'th on the boat, too?" said Hector.

"Yes, Hector. Yes. I saw Cassius, too. Cassius didn't come on time, but it's a good thing he arrive before the boat went to the destination," said Paul.

"Lieth! LIETH!" said Hector.

"You have the right to remain silent, Lt. Willis," Com. Madison yelled at Hector. Hector silenced. "I saw Cassius too at the boat. All soldiers are staring at him, when he gave some signals," said Com. Madison.

"But, ... but..." said Hector.

"You're the one who kidnapped Ms. Lovelace and you try her to escape," questioned Gen. Erickson.

"That wathn't me. I thwear," said Hector pitifully.

"You are coming with me," said Lt. Com. Erickson, holding his arm to the headquarter's building.

"You're dead, Cathiuth," said Hector to himself.

Then, the two went to the headquarter's building.

"That was shocking," said Cassius.

"Let me go!" Evangelina yelled at the man.

He wore a confederate uniform and was dragging her along.

"Well, looks like I caught what Cassius was waving at from the boat," the man said. "Next time, don't go out on the river if you don't want to be seen."

Evangelina struggled against him but he was too strong.
