Alright time for some confusion, let's make this even more complicated!

How about this: 2 days every month are chosen randomly, but there have to be at least 10 days in between them. BUT there is a small chance that they're closer to each other than 10 days, but after the 2nd day there has to be a gap of 15 days?

Mirej, i would prefer it a different way

Rather to have it as a "reward" instead of just an event that comes randomly

say as a site there needs to be XXXXX amount of TP's gained and then the next day is a X2 TP day

but the number of TP required varies all the time to give it the randomness


therefore the more people click to gain TP for themselves the quicker the counter comes down and people get to reap the rewards they deserve.

This reminds me of those x2 days of Pokéfarm, but it's still a nice idea.
So far we have the following ideas how to trigger the x2 TP day:

Votes:
(10) 2 times a month with some randomness
Show hidden content
tina1016, Diana, Ufimtsev, Zoka, Yohji, Kimie, Mituna, KevinXDE, uranianUmbra, Oddballme

(5) triggered by the whole community through collecting TP

@tina1016: And of course there would be some kind of warning about the next day being special, like a big ! next to the Castform.

i like the ! next to the castform idea, and i especially like the idea of actually having to take the time and effort to earn the day as a reward, because getting something is so much sweeter when it's received through hard work, a lot like putting in overtime at a job for the bonuses

Okay I will use my post above to count votes for the 3 ideas.
Just to make it clear: The (as an example) would appear when we have met the requirements for the next day to be a x2 TP day. On the day itself there would be some kind of symbol like this: You know, EP share thing. Any other symbol ideas are welcome.

I vote for "2 times a month with some randomness," as long as we get a warning the day before xD (I hate surprises.....) I also like the EXP share and ! thing, but maybe a Rare Candy symbol since people are more likely to level up? :3

I vote for the '2 random times a month' idea, too. :3

EDIT: I think the Rare Candy idea would be good one also. It would depict quicker level up, so it makes sense

personally i like the ! idea for when we meet the requirement so we know when to expect the day, and then the rare candy for the day itself (which is an insanely cute idea)

Well, I like the idea of having two random days- and I also support the idea to have a warning system in place if this happens. I wouldn't personally care if we didn't, it just seems like some users don't enjoy surprises. /D

In case of the 2 random days I think they would be decided on the 1st of every month, then the ! would show up when they got chosen and show the NEXT date of event.
E.g. On 1st of August the days 8 and 22 were chosen, so the ! would be there from the 1st until the 7th showing maybe a small 8 next to it for the users who can't hover over something. The 8th would be the Rare Candy, and from 9th to 21st again the !. 22nd Rare Candy and then either a ? or nothing until the next 1st.

And for the TP requirement: I think it would be better if, let's say, we meet the required TP today, then tomorrow would be the ! and the day after tomorrow the event. Because if we met the goal half an hour before reset, noone would notice the ! I guess. Another idea would be that if we meet the requirement today, the next event day would be the upcoming Saturday or Sunday.

the event on the upcoming saturday or sunday would be great! especially for people who work or have school during the week and either don't have the time or energy to go on the massive clicking spree that the event itself would entail

this site is storied like a town anyways, so of course it would make perfect sense for the members and citizens (which would be us ahaha) to be well in the know of events that are going to be happening anyways

The only downside to consistently having it on a weekend/same day is those users who can't log in on those days

So for my idea I think it's best that it stays the 2nd day after it has been reached

So the first day after the target had been reached can be the !!! Day and the following be the x2 day

It is the best way to make it fair for everyone and give enough notice

I'm voting for "2 times a month with some randomness" but unlike most of you guys, I wouldn't like a warning beforehand. It would be more fun when it comes as a total surprise. :d ...And the rare candy idea sounds good to me too. :3
