other: I do not watch SU as I only watch clips, not episodes. Another reason is because I did not have cable for a good certain amount of time, but now I do, but it does not have the shows I would expect it'd have.

I have a dumb theory thingy. SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED THE EPISODE WITH PERI TALKING ABOUT THE CLUSTER!!!
So... Peri said that the Cluster was composed of millions of Gem shards. So that means, either they used the kindergarten to grow the gems, only to break them as soon as they come out, then bury them in the core of the earth, or the Crystal Gems actually destroyed MILLIONS of other gems, the Homeworld Gems gathered the shattered the gems, then buried them in the core of the earth. Or they were gathering shattered gems over the span of time, then buried them, which is messed up. That's just my thought.
