i started watercolouring XD

this is my.... 4th i blieve
it's like a 3 day row thing i'm doing now, so the quality won't increase drastically ^^'

other than that....
well, apart from me just not being a fan of big beaks [i am not XD]
it just seems to miss some ''shading'' to create depth
was the colour thing, where it overlaps the lineart where i pressume the next colour starts, also done on purpose?

It is pretty! The pose has something proudful in it and the colors match each other very much. I´d love to see the final art piece, you will create out of this concept.
Since this creature seems to be a phoenix in the end, I´d like to give you the advice to add some tail feathers to the single one. It may look a little empty with just one feather and if it would have more than one tail feather it´ll look more majestic and fabulous. You don´t have to do this, it´s just a small tip on how I would do it^^

the neck looks a little short to me ^^, since it's phoenix like I would picture it to have a longer neck. Try using a swan as a reference?
