"So I won't starve to death! Or at least so I can have some variety when wandering around the country when it comes to food." Blix shifted the large hiking pack on her shoulders. "Do you happen to have a place I can stay that doesn't involve dogs trying to pee on my tent? A backyard or old shed maybe? I'm kinda out of a home lately. Lately being the previous 8 years of my life, but yeah. Being homeless kinda sucks."

"Oh, you're lost too? That's too bad, I would have wanted to help but.... Ehehehe," Variel trailed off, a bit thrown off by this boy-man's cold demenor. "Aren't you going to get that treated?" she asked, trying to find something to move the topic to and being slightly disturbed by boy-man walking normally as of bleeding heavily wasn't a problem.

Then, she heard something and looked back across the road, only to see a flailing purple-haired lady with a giant backpack being hoisted to her feet by another girl. "Oh! Maybe they could help!" and started yelling louder than you would expect a small 9 year old to do. "HEY, MISS! THIS GUY OVER HERE IS BLEEDING! DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO HELP HIM?".

Okay, so only one of the lady's, the purple-haired one, look nice, while the other kind of reminded her of this boy-man, it was better than nothing, right?

Mattie blinks uncertainly at Blix's words. Upon closer inspection, Blix didn't seem like she was any older than sixteen. Therefore, she should have been at an orphanage of some sort. Unless she ran away or...Nope, not possible. She would have been caught already and sent back. Besides, she didn't seem like she was hiding or running from the social services. That left only one possibility.
Mattie's eyes narrowed. "You're part of the savvy population."

'Haha, you don't have to say that, it actually feels nice...' Siinobu said uncertainly, staring. He wondered if he should make a run for it or not, certainly not, he thought. He then glanced at the sky, very uncertain again; then he thought over and over again if he should take a run for it. He finally decided after a minute or two to stay, the wound might get infected, but he hoped to get a chance to escape and maybe go if the other people didn't have anything to help.

Bastion was progressing nicely along with a new drawing of two dragons locked in battle, when a large commotion began. At first, he tried to ignore it, like he did most things. But the noise insisted. It was coming from a purple-haired girl that happened to be just within earshot. Just as he was about to set his pencil down and see what the problem was, it looked like she received some help from a passerby. Good, now just go away, he thought to himself.

When it seemed like all was once again well, a little girl decided to start yelling. I left the house because I wanted to be alone, but it seems that was too much to ask of. He sighed, almost angrily. What volume... Even from across the road, he could still hear the girl loud and clear, "...OVER HERE IS BLEEDING! DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO HELP HIM?"

He sighed again, this time out of reluctance, and flipped the pages of his sketchbook to a blank page. He first drew a simple cylinder, then quickly drew in lines on it that crisscrossed. In his mind, he pictured what the object would look like in real life, and then plucked the drawing off the page. It gained depth and weight, and in his hand it turned into a roll of ace bandages.

He walked across the road and gave it to the little girl. "Here you go," he said to her. The bandages would probably last about two hours, maybe three before they disappeared. Whoever was bleeding would probably need to change them by that time, anyways.

"Oh! Thank you mister...... ?" Variel attemped to try make sound cheerful. The flat tone of the new guy and the annoyed look on his face prompted her to say, "Sorry if I was being too loud, it's just that this boy-man was bleeding everywhere," she pointed out the very long trail of blood behind him and extended to.... A window? "And I think he wanted to run away. But thank you mister! By the way do you know where we are? I kind of got lost, and then I found boy-man here and he didn't know where we were either," she admitted, blushing a little. It's not my fault I forgot where I was walking!' she exclaimed internally. She also absent-mindedly gave the roll to 'boy-man'.

"What's a savvy?" Blix asked, furrowing her brow. "Wait, are you talking about the white-coats? Cuz there's no way that I'm one of them! I mean, just because dad was doesn't mean that I am! Oh wait you're prolly gonna call the cops on me now, aren't you."

Crystal exited the kitchen a few moments later, continuing to chew the last oreo. "Right. Should've asked you before I vanished but do you want an oreo?" Crystal remembered, asking Rhine quickly. She wiped off a few stray crumbs from her jeans before waiting for a response.

Mattie shook her head slowly. This girl was something else. "Savyy. Power. Abilities. Superpowers. Superheroes. Supernatural. People always trying to dissect you and you have to hide. Ring a bell?" She barely noticed the shouts coming from the little girl across the road. Some teenage boy had somehow managed to shut her up by handing her something, but Mattie was focused on Blix's reaction.

"If I'm right, then I have a savvy too. I don't have to worry about you tattling to the government about me if you're not part of the savvy population," Mattie said darkly.

Mattie flicked her wrist towards a nearby bench. There was a large CRACK, and the bench split cleanly in half. A lot more noisily than Mattie wanted it to be, but it wasn't like anyone else had noticed her flicking her wrist.

~~~
Rhine shook her head. "Nah, I'm not hungry yet. It's fine," She waved her hand carelessly and another nearby chair melted a little. "Ohhhh, crap!" She muttered, trying to stop herself from conjuring up any more illusions accidentally.
Her savvy went haywire occasionally when she was excited. It rather unfortunately happened at the most terrible moments. "Leave it to the most emotional one in the family to get a psychic savvy," Rhine muttered, mostly to herself.
"Ohhhhh" Blix replied before Matilda flicked her wrist and a bench split in half. "Omigoshowdidyoudothat" Blix blurted out. "Also, about that whole sleeping in your backyard thing, is that still an option?" She really didn't want to get mugged by small tree rodents again. Sure, sometimes they were nice, but the ones around here didn't seem very generous or helpful.
Mattie studied the cheerful, optimistic purple-haired girl in front of her. "Energy manipulation. That's my savvy," Mattie explained with no enthusiasm whatsoever. "Mrs. Aaronson should've finished wiring that security system now. Let's see if the house allows you."
With that said, Mattie turned on her heel, walking down the road towards a bleeding teenage boy holding a roll of ace bandages, another teenage boy who seemed seriously annoyed, and the girl who was trying to burst everyone's eardrums previously. "Hopefully she gets the hint to follow me," Mattie thought blankly.
Blix blinked, then hurried to go catch up. "Wait, what? See if the house allows me? What's that mean?" Blix was utterly confused by people. Animals were so much easier to understand.
Mattie turned left just right before reaching the other three people on the sidewalk, and examined the building in front of her. It was old, it was seemingly haunted, and it had plenty of windows without glass. "Perfect place," Mattie thought, "for an entrance to the neighborhood.
With no hesitation, she broke in the rusted door with a little air manipulation and walked inside. Mattie didn't bother to check her surroundings, and walked towards the nearest window, which made light stream inside the dusty and dark building.
Bastion was about to get back to the bench he had been drawing on when he heard a loud CRACK. He turned around to look for the source, and found that his bench now lay in two pieces. Well, it's a good thing I didn't leave my drawing supplies behind, then, he thought, putting one hand on his satchel.
He was puzzling over how such a thing could have happened when the strange passerby from before walked by. There was something about her... He couldn't quite put a finger on it. Her companion also seemed to have that similar air of strangeness about her. After mulling over it briefly, he decided to follow them, and gave a small wave of goodbye to the annoying little girl. He could be quite stealthy when he wanted to, and he took off after the strange duo.
When they came to an abandoned building, the leader of the two broke the door in without even touching it. Could they be...? He followed them in, hiding around corners since there wasn't much furniture to be found, but it wasn't long before they came to a window. What are they doing?
Mattie glanced behind her, frowning as she saw nothing except Blix. "Funny...I could have sworn I felt some kind of energy in the air. Eh, must be my savvy going crazy again," Mattie thought uneasily.
Mattie splayed her hands, and with another lazy flick of her wrists, blew away the dust out the window. When the dust cloud cleared, she glanced at the purple-haired Blix. The girl definitely didn't mean any harm towards the savvy population, though she did say her father was a scientist or something. And besides, she already knew about savvys, as Mattie rather naively told her about them. Probably enough info to access the portal network.
"This window is a portal. A woman named Agatha Aaronson created a whole portal network leading to all kinds of places. She's one of the savvy population. She's also the founder of the savvy neighborhood, a quiet getaway for people who have a savvy - like us, if I'm right about you. And the funny thing is," She gestured towards the now clean window, "windows are used as portal entrances. You can jump off the fifth floor of a building through a window and end up in the middle of Dublin. But most of the portals lead to the neighborhood. The key to activating them is either knowing about savvys, or," She paused, "having a savvy yourself."
And with that, she ran up to the window and put her hand through it. The view outside disappeared, and was replaced with a swirling vortex that couldn't seem to stay in one color. She felt the portal tugging at her, trying to get her to jump through. Without looking back to see Blix's reaction, she leaped upwards and through the portal.
There was that tingling and queasy sensation of being portaled, and Mattie rolled over some grass, panting. She opened her eyes, and was met with the sight of her house in the savvy neighborhood and a concerned looking thirty year old woman with platinum blonde hair and warm brown eyes.
"Matilda! I'm surprised to see you out of your house!" Agatha smiled warmly at her.
Blix was quite puzzled as Matilda led her into an abandoned building, but understanding dawned upon her as Matilda explained the whole window portal thing. After Matilda entered the window portal, she heard footsteps from behind her, and she stopped, spinning on her heel to see a teenage boy with red-brown hair tailing them around the corner. "Hi!" Blix said, her movement so fast that you could barely follow it with you eyes, basically popping up at the boy's side. "I'm Blix, what's your name? I like your hair! Hey, what are ya doin' following us? 's kinda rude not to ask first." Blix's energy made everything seem more chaotic then it should've as she listed question after question. "But wait, if you just saw what happened right now, that means you now know 'bout tavvies or shabbies or whatever they're called, an that means you can go through windows too!" Blix latched onto the teenager's arm and yanked him through the portal as she leapt into the window portal.
(Wooow. Blix is seriously random XD)
"And I see you've been using the network! I can feel a huge amount of activity within the portals. It's rather unusual," Agatha continued.
Matilda had scrambled to her feet and was about to reply when she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. For Mattie's part, she seemed to have no reaction to out-of-this-world kind of surprises, because she merely sidestepped as Blix and the boy from the street came tumbling out of nowhere and landing exactly where Mattie was ten seconds ago.
Agatha's eyes widened in surprise at the two teenagers' sudden appearance on Mattie's front lawn. "You found others?" She breathed, genuinely curious.
"The girl with purple hair is Blix, and I think she has a savvy. That boy though, I have no clue," Mattie admitted before turning to give Blix a death glare. "There is a fifty percent chance you just caused the genocide of the whole savvy population by bringing him here. My senses were right after all. Someone else was there."
A hand was gently placed on Mattie's shoulder. "There is no need to worry, Matilda. I know several friends who can easily wipe memories of such incidents. How do you think we've survived for so long?" Agatha assured her.
Matilda seemed to relax slightly, and Agatha took away her hand. The adult woman then fixed a stern gaze on the two new teenagers. "Now out with it, you two. Do you have a savvy or not? Your answer will severely affect your future, and I assure you, all of our kind wish no harm towards normal people."
Mattie coughed. "Well, except for Miss Quarappelz here and some others. But they do have their reasons. There are people out there wanting to use us as guinea pigs; you cannot expect some of us to just stand there and accept it."
(XD yes, yes she is)
"Nuuuu dun wipe his memory! We're friends now since I kinda sorta kidnapped him! I promise I'll keep him quiet!" Blix said, on top of the boy, who was laying on his back. What she didn't notice was that when she jumped through the portal, she seemed to have developed the tail and ears of a wolf. The ears, however, were concealed under her headphones. Her tail was whipping in the air back and forth, and it was a wonder that Blix didn't even notice.
Mattie and Agatha quickly noticed the sudden appearance of the wolf ears and tail. Agatha had a normal reaction: wide unbelieving eyes. Mattie, on the other hand, stared blankly, inwardly sighing with relief. A shapeshifter - of course. No wonder she was so random; she had to keep her humanity while being transformed. It was kind of difficult not to go hunting for mice when a cat. The natural instincts of shapeshifting to other things must have molded her random personality, or she was just really naturally random. Either way, Mattie was relieved she had a savvy.
"I think you should get her a house, Agatha. She's homeless," Mattie told the middle-aged woman with no emotion whatsoever.
Agatha nodded, only partly hearing. "Of course..just...let me make a few calls."
With that, she took a phone out of the pocket of her jeans and began to dial a number. Mattie studied Blix blankly for a moment before speaking again. "You have wolf ears and a tail right now, and I think you might be scaring the person underneath you."
Mattie gestured towards the chairs and table on her porch, making them zoom onto the lawn. They arranged themselves properly in mid-air, then plopped down on the grass right in front of Mattie. "Sit before the grass dies. I'm not good with living things," Mattie muttered before marching off into her house and slamming the door close.
"Hm, I wonder where he was going in such a hurry," Variel said, partly to herself and partly to the boy-man. "And those two strangers walking past us with such a flat face. Does everyone in this town hate fun or something? I'm sure I didn't do anything to deserve this," she sulked, ignoring the fact she was trying to deafen everyone, and turned her back to the boy-man. "If I was working as a police-man, I would find that so weird and totally suspicious."
"Well, you're going to be better now, right?" she remembered, still facing away. "Do you want me to help you find a doctor?"
((Sorry for this being so short, I have nothing to write about.))
