Rhine stopped mid-sentence as darkness clouded her eyes.

"Crystal!"
"Violet, hang on!"
"I c-c-can't-"

Rhine stumbled backwards, tripping over the front steps of the house and scratching her legs. "The hell was that? It was just two voices now, not an image."

And then Blix fell on her face on the sidewalk, right in front of a house with a porch. "Owww" she said as she tried to stand up, before realizing that she was pinned under her hiking pack. "Nyyyaaaaa halps!" She cried out for sake of randomness.

Matilda Quarappelz jolted awake, gripping her blanket tightly. The air around her went from sweaty hot to icy cold in a matter of seconds as she tried to regain control of her whirling emotions. Energy manipulation was probably the most difficult savvy to scumble. As Mattie's breathing slowed, she took in her unfamiliar surroundings. She was in her new house in the savvy neighborhood, which was almost completely concealed from the other houses. The room was simply painted a wooden brown while the ceiling had a three-dimensional night sky painted on it. The sight was rather comforting to Matilda, and it helped her sleep.

Mattie smoothly slid out a Swiss Army knife from underneath her unusually hard pillow and cut another notch on her wooden dresser's side. Seven notches. Seven days. Mattie blinked in surprise. She'd been holed up in this house for a week. Immediately after moving in with her measly possessions, Mattie had been surprised to find the house fully furnished. Not liking the presence of other people, she'd locked herself in and hadn't gone out since then.

After those twisted scientists had her entire family killed, Matilda was always on high alert and naturally suspicious of people with supposedly good intentions. She'd had trouble trusting people before, now she just couldn't truly trust anyone. She pushed back her purple-green blanket, and dressed out of her PJs. It was about time she went out for some fresh air.

As usual, Mattie had slept in and it was almost noon. After a fleeting moment of hesitation, she unlocked the front door and swung it open. It seemed that it had just stopped raining, and the grass smelled wet. Taking a careful step forward, Mattie inhaled sharply. The air contained so much energy she could almost feel it pulse like a heartbeat. Probably a side effect of having so many people with a savvy in the same place. After much hesitation, Mattie stretched out her hand over a blade of grass. Almost immediately it began to dance rigorously. Mattie couldn't suppress the smile that firmly made its way onto her face at the sight of the dancing grass. She was hit by a pang of guilt, and quickly withdrew her hand.

"Your savvy is the damn reason your family is dead. You shouldn't be enjoying having it," She scolded herself out loud.

Mattie grabbed a bagel and a bottle of cold milk from the medium sized refrigerator and went to have breakfast on her porch. Her house was on the top of a hill overlooking the rest of the houses, giving her a clear view of the entire neighborhood, but cleverly concealed by the surrounding vegetation. She began to eat her food, wondering what normal girls her age usually did to pass time.

"Definitely not seeking revenge for their dead family and trying to hide from society due to their crazy powers," She mused as she munched her bagel.

Blix was still pinned under her hiking pack, and had tired herself out from flailing helplessly. "BLARG! Why won't anyone help me up?" She cried out as a chipmunk scurried across the sidewalk. She would usually get up to chase it, but yeah, she was completely pinned. So Blix just lay there, under her gigantic backpack, waiting for someone to come by and feel generous enough to help her up before she starved to death on the sidewalk.

(Portals are installed in savvy family's houses in the real world. To activate, jump through one of the house's windows ._. That's the main portal network to get to the savvy neighborhood. So yeah, you couldn't have seen Rhine and Crystal talking unless you managed to jump out a portal window. Also don't time skip D: It's not even noooooon yettt D:)

(....Uh. Mattie's house was burned down and she stays permanently at the savvy neighborhood ._. She has been there hidey holing like a wittle rabbit for a week and decided to go outside on the porch. And I don't remember a specific mention of time in the other posts, and since Violet was about to go outside, I guessed it was like morning/afternoon. Also since Mattie hasn't met any other character yet, it's possible for people to insert more things to happen before she woke up in case they want it to be like 7am or something. and Crystal, Violet, and Rhine jumped through their windows already.)

Walking crossing the street, still a bit down, she suddendly came to the conclusion that she was, in fact, lost. In her own town. That she just moved to. 'Hah, who else could manage to get lost in their town other than me?' she thought to herself. She looked around before seeing a brown haired.... man? Boy? 'Actually, what do you call a teenage boy?' Anyway, the point was that she saw a brown-haired boy on the side of the street with a clinic. He was a,so walking past even though he was bleeding. 'Wait, what?'


Briefly looking both ways across the street, she ran across it toward the boy, yelling, "Mister! Mister! Please wait up mister!". She then came to a stop on the other side, breathing a little heavier than what she would have liked, with her hands on her knees and a little hunched over. "I am.... a lot.... more out.... of shape.... than I thought...." she mumbled under her breath, in short, clipped breaths.

Blix saw someone running down the sidewalk across the street from the corner of her eye. "Hey, person! Do you think you can help me out a bit? I'm a bit stuck." She had no idea if the person heard her, but she didn't really care as long as she got some help.

"Are you okay?" Crystal inquired, moving forward as a voice echoed from the inside of the house. "Crystal! Why are there 3 squirrels in my room! I blame you!" Crystal sighed before helping Rhine up. "One second." She went to her sister's room. "It's one young squirrel. No need to exaggerate." Crystal shooed it outside before heading back to the front door to Rhine. "You can come in, you know."

Siinobu turned around, glaring, then he saw her. "What?" He frowned, no one never asked him questions. For him, it was mostly half a compliment and a insult. "What do you want, then? I don't have all day." He added, giving looks at her that plainly meant he was lost.

Rhine bit her lip nervously and nodded, inching slowly inside. Her vision, which wasn't much of a vision and more like voices echoing along the lines of reality, truly did bother her. She'd never had a vision almost immediately after meeting someone. "It must really affect reality, then," Rhine thought as she stepped foot in the house.

"Um, make yourself at home I guess!" Crystal declared simply, attempting to fill the silence. "Are you giving away our house or something?" Violet called out as she entered the room, quickly being silenced at the sight of Rhine.

Nope. Stranger. Not going to say anything, Violet immediately instructed herself. She didn't know why she did it, but it just was natural to her. "I'm going to make a sandwich," Violet said, considerably quieter than a few moments ago as she headed to the kitchen.

Rhine blinked uncertainly as the white-haired girl ducked towards another doorway which she assumed was the kitchen. "I am going to assume she's shy," she said randomly.

The silence was a little too uncomfortable and awkward for Rhine's taste, so she looked at a nearby chair and began to twist its outer layer. The chair wobbled, hopped one step forward, and began to tap dance.

Blix continues flailing in a failed attempt to get someone to notice her and help her up. Eventually, she gave up, and resigned to her place on the sidewalk in front of a porch. Random animals started wandering over in her direction, until birds were using her backpack as a perch and squirrels were stealing from a bag of sunflower seeds she was saving for later. Blix had no idea how they managed to get the snack out of her bag at all, but she didn't really care.

"Not really. She just gets really quiet around anyone that's not me," Crystal replied. She followed Violet into the kitchen, not bothering to ask if Rhine wanted any food. She grabbed several oreos out of the cupboard while Violet prepared her sandwich and pulled herself up onto the counter to sit while eating.

[But we're all in the neighborhood D: Do you want me to make a random NPC to help you out? OH...wait...let me send Mattie...]

Rhine stopped the illusion and sat on the previously tap dancing chair, wondering what her parents could be doing now. Her dad would be on his way home, and her mother would be at the grocery store. There was a light tapping on her mental shields - visions she had managed to block out. Some were terrifying, and some were just...there. It was only when Rhine blinked did she notice that she had accidentally astral projected while mulling over her thoughts. "Oh crud," She mumbled as she noticed her body sitting on the chair with its eyes closed.

Mattie finished eating her breakfast, noting that she hadn't been to the outside world for a week. That world held terrible memories for her, but for some reason she always felt compelled to visit. She stepped into her house, and tumbled out the nearest window straight onto asphalt. She groaned as she landed uncomfortably on her back, almost stabbing herself with the wicked sharp knives hidden in the long sleeves of her shirt.

Mattie blinked in surprise as she noticed a purple-haired girl being mugged by a bunch of animals across the road. Her hiking pack seemed to be pinning her down, making her vulnerable to anything that passed by. With a sigh, she knew she couldn't just leave her there to be killed by anything. She plucked one of the knives out of her sleeves, and threw it with deadly accuracy near a wing of a bird. The bird let out a frightened sound and flew off, the other animals following soon after. Mattie picked up her knife, and with one strong yank, pulled the girl up by her backpack.

"Nyaaa!" Blix was surprised when a girl hoisted to her feet by her backpack. "Oh! Erm, thanks miss! I'm Blix!" she said, grabbing the girl's hand and shaking it energetically. "It's good that you came by when you did, some squirrels were stealing my sunflower seeds." She nudged the empty plastic bag with her foot. "Though there don't seem to be many left... Oh well!" She rolled up the bag and shoved it in her bag. "What's your name?" She asked, full attention on the girl who had helped her up.

Mattie was not disturbed one bit by the girl's cheerful demeanor. She shrugged and slid her knife back into one of her sleeves. "Matilda. Why are you carrying around sunflower seeds?" She asked dully.
