"You're a mortal, Mattie. It's natural for you to want friends," Metis spat the word "friends" as if it were poisonous.
"Bellatrix's power, according to you, is life force absorption. I highly doubt she'll even talk to me when she finds out that she doesn't need to be at full strength to be able to snuff out my life," Mattie reminded her.
Metis was silent for a moment. "I'd almost forgotten that mortals with powers like yours are so easily killed. Even the slightest touch from that girl will send you into a coma."
"On that happy note, let's get to the lunchroom," Mattie muttered out loud.
Completely forgetting that Bellatrix was touring her around, Mattie pressed a spot on the wall, splitting the wall into half with a soft hiss. Mattie froze, remembering, and let out a string of vehement Chinese curse words.
"Language!" Metis scolded her.
"It was your idea to go to China," Mattie countered.

"I don't hate you though, Mattie," Metis said.
"Yeah. You tolerate me, which in my book, is just as bad," Mattie retorted.
A sharp pain flared in her leg, and Mattie nearly fell. She inhaled deeply, trying not to make any noise.
"Mattie?"
"Aftershock. Stupid leg still hasn't healed," Mattie mumbled, testing her leg.
"I told you to ask for a doctor," Metis chided.
"You of all people know doctors haven't got a clue how to fix this kind of wound," Mattie said angrily.
Metis fell silent as Mattie followed Bellatrix's footsteps.

"Are you two going to exchange life stories now?" Metis asked, sarcasm dripping from every word.
"Just go back to sleep, Metis. I'll wake you up in case someone tries to kill us," Mattie matched her alter-ego's sarcasm perfectly.
"Try not to die before I can find another suitable mortal host," Metis grumbled.
Matilda felt Metis' consciousness fade away from her brain. Score, that was at least two hours of freedom from a century old evil witch breathing down her neck.

Crystal spotted the academy before Violet's family was relatively close to the entrance. "There it is!" she called out. Jinx, her cat, beside her let out an enthusiastic meow. "So we're finally there? It's been so long!" Crystal laughed slightly at her cat's reaction and glanced at Violet's questioning face. It had only been about 15 minutes, but she had quickly discovered how bad with time Jinx it. "She's glad we're finally there," Crystal informed Violet as the car stopped in front of the academy. Crystal grabbed her stuff with Violet behind her and entered the academy. It's so... Quiet, she thought.

Jora finally dragged herself out of the bed after staring at the ceiling for about 23 minutes and 17 seconds. She had been keeping track. She looked to the empty bed next to hers, wondering who her roommate would be, if she ended up with one. She slunk out into the hall, walking towards the main entrance. She spotted two girls and a cat walking down the hall. She quickly turned and ran around the nearest corner, her long hair trailing behind her.

"I'm going to find my room and unpack, Vio. Find me and meet me later," Crystal decided cheerfully. She noticed a list on the wall with names and room numbers. Alphabetical order, she decided, looked at the list's order. L... O... Q... R... V.. W! There it is! By the time Crystal found the W last names, Violet had vanished down the hall. She headed towards the number her name said, and lugging her stuff with Jinx behind her Crystal headed towards the room.

Violet entered the room and tossed her bag onto the bed. She quickly unpacked, tossing her current reading material to the side. I wonder if anyone else will come in, she thought with a glance at the second bed across the room. She read her book, soon enough getting restless.

Shade unlocked the room and saw violet. Frowning, she dumped her bag on the customary place beside the bed and flopped on the bed. She picked up her text book and started reading.

"Helllooo," Crystal said cheerfully. Jinx let out a low hiss at Jora. "She looks suspicious!" the cat had hissed. "Everyone is suspicious to you. Once you tried to kill Violet, remember?" Crystal replied with a cat-like meow, which seemed to be completely random to one who doesn't know her. "I'm guessing your my roommate?" Crystal asked, putting a few more things away and turning to Jora.

(I'm assuming that these are like collage dorms, with a small bathroom built into each dorm room)
