I really like this event, I think the way it was planned not to be announced really struck us all, I was eager to find out what all these Light Balls would give.

Currently in the process of trying to recruit a Shiny Pichu/Pikachu <3

With the Yellow Forest when you adopt an egg from a rumble mission will it break my shiny chain?

I super want to this event but i am doing a shiny hunt right now.

Retro egg will not break Shiny chain.

Normal Gems for Ditto collected:

1 561 / 10 000

To get:

What other eggs? Retro egg is the only egg that you can get from Yellow Forest. Pichu and Pikachu which you recruit are already hatched and can't break your chain.

Tiny Mushroom currently have no use (besides selling for PD); maybe it might get a use in the future, but for now there is no use.
