A taxi pulled up to the school, and Joralee stepped out, tugging
her two suitcases and duffel bag out of the vehicle, tipping the
driver before he drove away. She dragged her bag up the steps,
looking at the sheet of paper in her hand, which had the address of
her temporary home. She had just joined the academy several days
before it shut down, leaving her a bit depressed, thinking it was
her bad luck that caused the school to temporarily close. She
walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. The door opened to the
face of a clean shaven ma in a suit. "Hello," he said. "Come on
in." He smiled, but Jora could easily see that it was false, as she
saw the pain in his eyes. "I take it that you're from the temporary
housing program at the academy?" He asked. "Yes." Jora replied
quietly. "Alright then, your room is up the stairs to the left. I
will not be home most of the time, so I'm fine with pretty much
anything you do as long as nothing is harmed. I am home from 8 pm
to 6 am" "Alright." Jora replied, tugging her luggage up the
stairs. She easily found her room, and began to unpack. Once she
had finished unpacking, she lay down on the bed. She noticed that
there were two beds in the room. "Oh, and by the way, I think
someone else from the academy will be staying with us as well,
alright? Ok then, have a nice day!" Joralee heard the garage door
close. "Shoot."
Shade packed her backpack with the same outfit she wore everyday. A
bomber jacket, fingerless gloves, ripped jeens and steel toed
boots. Finally, she packed some books and a stuffed rabbit and
vaulted out the window. Shade ran away from her home so that her
powers could grow.
Joralee looked outside the window, and decided to go for a little
nature walk in the forest. She changed into a pair of dark blue
jeans, a white tank top, a black jacket, and combat boots. She
wrote a small letter about where she was headed and left it on the
counter, exiting the house, heading down the street to a nature
trail.
(Alright. Thanks. Is the school opened or is this just the
characters are with their care families? or...?)
Aurabelle groaned, the sun shining down on her through the leaves
of the tree she slept under. It was later morning, probably close
to lunch if she had to guess. She rubbed her eyes, the small ratty
blanket she was covered with pushed to the side as she sat up.
Birds chirped above her while the wind blew past, it was music to
her ears.
As she finally got up and stretched, Aurabelle looked around, it
was a nice relaxing and sunny day. A good day to go for a walk and
maybe a swim if there's a lake or river anywhere. She grabbed her
bag from the ground and packed her blanket into it, departing for
her day ahead of her. Starting off on the nature trail she had
slept close by on, she watched and admired her surroundings.
(The school was shut down due to unknown causes, so their with the
families)
With no response, the robin flew to the pond where Violet was
sitting, shifting back into the form of a human. "Hello," she said
cheerfully. "Did you go for a walk too?"
Violet nodded. "There wasn't anything else to do." She took her
feet out of the pond and slipped her shoes back on. "There still
isn't anything to do, actually."
Joralee wandered around until she found a pond. she saw that there
were two girls sitting by the other side of the pond, so she just
walked up to the edge and sat down. She stared at her reflection,
feeling melancholy as the water rippled.
"Oh, hello there," Violet said softly at the sight of Joralee.
Crystal didn't seem to notice, tapping the water with a bored
expression, watching it ripple. "There's nothing to dooo," she said
dully. True, she's older than me but half the time she acts
younger than me, Violet thought.
Shade walked until the park and scampered up a tree. Picking up a
rock with her mind, shade spun it around, picking up more and more.
Soon she was holding ten rocks with her mind and making it spin and
twirl.
Shade started spinning the rocks faster and lost controls of one as
it sailed into the pond." Crap." Shade muttered. Then shrugged." At
least it didn't hit anyone."
Jora practically shot into the air as a stone sailed through the
air into the pond, landing nearby her. She stumbled backwards and
tried to calm down as she held her head, trying not to flip out.
Her family had been targeted for assassinations before, and the
very idea of being a target caused her to hyperventilate. She knew
it wasn't likely, and that the stone landing in the pond near her
would most likely be an accident, but it still startled her.
Walking the trail, Aurabelle came upon a small pond, and noticed a
small group of people. Looking at them, she stayed behind a tree,
curious of what they were doing. She didn't want to interrupt
something that wasn't her business.
Jora looked around her as she held her head, covering her ears. She
saw the two girls across the lake, another girl who seemed to be
hiding behind a tree, and was that a girl in a tree? Joralee took
her hands off her head, feeling like a fool. She stood up and
walked back towards the nature trail forlornly, walking with her
hand on the trees, feeling a bit dizzy.
Annie Sighed. "What Do You Think I Should Do, Roiody?" Annie Said.
Roiody Said, "I Think You Should Meet Some Friends.". "As A Mermaid
Or A Human?" Annie Asked Roiody. "Any. :)" Roiody Said. "Ok Here It
Goes...." Annie Transformed Into A Mermaid.
Both Violet and Crystal seemed oblivious to the falling stones.
Violet glanced at her watch. "We should get back soon," she said
before Crystal noticed the stones. "What exactly are you doing?"
she asked, quickly spotting Shade.
