Whenever the group was in a talk he seemed to be like part of a crowd. Cradling his adopted pup in his tail, Dragon glanced over at the golden-brown angry ally. "Chill. Blue's been like that forever." He said shrilly.
The sun had disappeared behind the trees, which were now just a shadow in the making. The ebony she-wolf seemed to become one with the sky, taking in every single detail with interest and muting the rustles of the tree's leaves and the twitter of the birds in the forest. She hazily sank herself in the descriptive, fuzzy dark clouds that were tinged with pink and breathed the untouched air that had been bestowed among the every crack of the forest.
And as if from above, it was like the warm beams of the sun curled around her and whispered ''Blue'' into her ear. No, that wasn't the trance of the sky. She broke her gaze away from the sky, and turned to see the familiar glossy-furred wolf with comfortable chocolate brown eyes. The one that could blend in perfectly as if he wasn't there, even if he was. The one that only Luna seemed to notice.
"Sometimes when you look into the sky it's like your a statue." The he-wolf commented. She remained silent, her eyes stony and faraway as she rested her tail of the thick he-wolf's bushy one. Without looking back, a glint flashed in Dragon's eyes. "Be careful, Moon." He said, and Luna's eyes flitted back to see the pup trudging out of the grotto. "Where do you think she could be going at this time of the day?..." Luna looked towards Dragon, who was staring forwards. "You'd consider it night by now," he answered.
"Do you think she might have a love affair with one of the pack's pups? We did help one before, and he would be, what, her age by now?... I think he was called Chip." Luna wondered lightly, not really thinking into it. Dragon shrugged. "Just let her be."
once she was far enough away and was at the meeting point, she skidded to a stop panting and looking around.
''spike..? spike?'' she called quietly, ear's perked up and nose twitching a little as she sniffed the air.
a flash of gray fur ran out of the bushes and tackled her, growling playfully and nipping at each other's ear's.
''your no fair spike!'' she yelped.
''ha, well i am a pack wolf.. and some of us don't play fair'' spike teased, sitting on moon's tail.
[spike's pup name: chip o3o]
Venom was worried. When he was worried, something bad usually happened. He was tense before the pack had battled with Luna and the others. He was shaking before Sapphire and that she-wolf entered the cave. Although his life was amusing and well, it had grown a bit worse after Moon had gone all... crazy. She took really long ''walks'' and acted like she was annoyed and hated all of them. It made him feel uncomfortable.
But he had Draco, and they'd probably do anything for each other. Well, almost everything. Venom crawled over to the he-pup and muttered in his ear. "Draco, I want to see where Moon went. Come with me. Please?" He begged, still in a cautious whisper.
draco moaned and opened one of his eye's, looking at venom drowsily.
''no venom... it's better to let moon have some time to herself alright..? now try and get some rest....'' he grumbled and went back to sleep.
thorn was already out cold and snoring, along with swift, buster, hazel, and chester.
moon and spike were both laying down together near a small pond away from the grotto enjoying the beautiful night.
''you know, your fur shine's in the moonlight.. no wonder your name fit's so well'' spike said.
moon giggled a little and nuzzled spike's cheek.
their tail's entwined and leaning against the other, letting the peace and quiet surround them once again.
Venom's eyes flitted open and he felt a sharp pain on his scruff, but it ebbed away quickly. His pelt was mattered in slimy mud--the kind that he usually rolled in. He heard soft footsteps, and a tiny tug at his scruff again. He yanked away, rolled on his stomach, and leaped to his paws, alert for attack. "Well aren't you a light sleeper?..." Coed a voice of a maturing pup from behind him. It echoed in his ears. Venom was sure he knew that voice, but he couldn't quite get an identification on it. He whipped around to see the face of the abductor.
"Sapphire." He growled. The look in her eyes was sly, and teasing. "Just walk with me, and you won't have to go with a fight." She said boldly. "Your as stubborn as Swift. You won't give up, will you?" He growled. "So?" Sapphire shrugged.
"So you'll keep getting your hind kicked until what's left of your heart shatters completely and you give up." Venom grumbled. Sapphire's eyes sparkled. "You challenging me, runt?" She dared. His claws slashed across her nose, but her head craned back so it hit only lightly. Before he knew it, he was slammed against a rock and his head was being pressed down on it.
"Come on, Venom. Your too young to win." She sighed.
Venom shook his head in disagreement, and the pressure on his shoulder and head only grew stronger. "Why does your stupid pack... want me?!" He groaned, even though his jaw was being painfully pressed against a rock.
"It's my mission! They still don't trust me enough!" Sapphire retorted. "Then come back to us. Don't be with those filthy rats instead..." Venom whimpered as Sapphire's claws dug into his shoulder. "You can't talk out of this one, Venom. My heart belongs to the pack--no doubt about it. I don't feel guilty I left your group of runts at all."
"Their not a group of runts. Their your family." The he-pup corrected, trying to ignore the burning pain that sizzled in his shoulder. "My so-called family is a group of runts that I don't care about." Sapphire growled.
Venom felt like all the weight had been yanked off him, and the rock wasn't pressing against him anymore. It felt like he was flying through the air like a feather. Had Sapphire let go of him? He turned around to see Sapphire lifted up in a tall, broad she-wolf's mouth. Sapphire squirmed out of Luna's grip.
"Really, Sapphire? Abducting?" Luna chided, and lifted Venom in her grip, padding away before Sapphire could react.
he gave a swift yank forward and let go of her scruff, making her roll on the ground a little bit.
''sapphire, you've betrayed your family, and you know that aunt luna wont let her adopted pup get taken away, and if that alpha doesn't trust you enough just become a lone wolf and then find another pack that is more trust worthy.... but don't come back home, your not welcomed anymore...... and your not a sister to me after you blinded me in one eye and joined that pack, your just a stranger to me now sapphire... now leave'' he ordered, standing a bit taller then her.
sapphire stared up at him, somehow now regretting what she had done.
''draco i..'' she started to say but got cut off.
''now sapphire, leave and don't bother coming back.. ever'' he said and left her alone outside.
sapphire blinked and looked down at the ground, ear's pinned back as she quietly whimpered and ran back to her pack.
He bent down to lap at the water, and thought about his wretched dream he had had. It started with a full, white moon. It then crumbled as a the tip of a rocky spike hit it, and blood and devastation filled the air, drowning Venom in the sticky crimson ooze. He didn't quite know what it meant. Venom's eyes fought to stay open, but soon he purposely gave in and fell asleep by the pond.
