"Okay then, but A, aren't you going to get in trouble, and B, why am I so interesting?" She realized he was still grabbing his arm, but said nothing. She looked at Nene with a deadpan expression. "I'm Alison and I still don't know why I'm here. I'm only a first year, after all."

"Your being kidnapped!" Heidi screamed from the roof, knowing that she couldn't be heard. This was like a comedy, so amusing! She had used a special charm to hear the conversation. She clapped a little. These people deserved awards! Heidi is distracted by a couple clouds, but turns her attention back to the group.
His smile has a grip on me <3

Rolling her eyes, she glanced at Suvansh and sighed. “Honestly, I don’t think half of us know either.” Nene was curious as to what Tsukasa would say. And why was he still hanging onto her like that? Well, Amane might be annoyingly flirty, but at least he wasn’t- Aaaand, she’d spoken too soon.

Amane decided to join the conversation by mirroring his brother, grabbing Nene’s arm and pulling her close, earning another blush from the blonde. “I’m not surprised Tsukasa’s taken a liking to you,” he said with a smirk. Time to get his brother back. In a stage whisper, he nudged Nene. “Hey, Yashiro,” he said, using her last name playfully, “cute, aren’t they?”

Tsukasa, electing to ignore Amane’s tease for now, just grinned and answered Alison. “You ask good questions and say weird things and do unexpected stuff. I like it, and it’s interesting, so I think you would be good to have for this.” A thought suddenly occurred to him, and his face fell a bit. “Wait, do you not want to come with me? And egg things?”

Alison shook her head. "I do want to come, but I don't want to get in trouble. Especially if that means going back home." She watched their antics without comment, saying, "I'm not a buzzkill if that's what you're wondering." Alison didn't want to ruin her first chance at making friends, even if they were just a little bit odd. She was odd, after all, so that wasn't the problem.

Suvansh steps into the conversation, after Aubrey left, even though he kinda felt guilty for keeping her away from the funsies, and says "Well isn't that why I'm here? Once the fun is done, leave the clean up to me" he gives out a wink to no one in particular, and folds his hands. He might be upto mischief, but nothing permanently damaging of course.

Tsukasa lit up, beaming at her agreement to join them. “Yaaaay!” He gave her one of his characteristic tight hugs, practically jumping on her the same way he did with his brother. Although he understood her desire to be cautious, they had an actual Head Boy with them!

Amane nodded as he listened to Suvansh. It was nice to have the more experienced student around, especially if he was offering to clean up afterwards, too. Giving Alison a smile, he held back a laugh. “You’ll just have to get used to the hugs. And don’t worry about the buzzkill thing; Tsukasa was just worried you didn’t like him,” Amane explained nonchalantly, having been through this sort of process with his brother before.

Sighing as the twins continued to harass both her and poor Alison, she had to admit that Tsukasa was surprisingly sweet towards the first-year. Nene smiled at Amane’s aside. He was right, but she didn’t want to admit it. “Thanks for offering to be damage control,” she joked, turning to Suvansh. How lucky that he’s shown up!

Suvansh shot her a quick grin, saying "Well, I have to make sure that you'll are safe, and I have to help maintain decorum around, so I can't really have people littering around and leaving it be! And besides, who doesn't like a tad bit fun?" as if he was justifying his choice. He noticed how a few of them, Tsukasa and Alison were particularly secretive and a bit protective off him, by the fear of him ratting them, but he knew he wouldn't have to prove much after today, obviously, if everything went fine- He hoped everything went fine- He just chuckled and let go of his thoughts.

Alison gasped, "Can't-breathe," It wasn't that bad, but, being caught off guard for what seemed like the hundreth time, she wasn't ready for the tight hug, fueled by aparent enthusiasam. And there was the fact that she hardly ever got hugs added to the surprise. "Don't worry," she wheezed, "I've hardly ever gotten hugs so I don't really mind."

Nene laughed, recalling her earlier thought process with Hurricane. “I know what you mean. I was a little hesitant at first, but I think that this is just what I need to relax right now.” She sincerely appreciated his somewhat protective attitude towards them - a quality that probably was instrumental to the choice to make him a Head Boy, she realized.

“Oh, that was the wrong thing to say,” Amane observed with a smile as Tsukasa let out an agonized, “WHAT?!” upon the revelation that she did not get hugs. Face falling, he loosened his grip slightly but rested his head on her shoulder, a pained expression on his face. “He’s going to hug you, like, all the time now. He thinks hugs are the single best things in the universe,” Amane explained. Tsukasa sniffed a little. “It’s so sad to not get hugs,” he agreed, voice slightly muffled.

Alison giggled a little at his reaction. "That's okay, the few people I've told mostly just pity me." *Of course,* she thought, *That's because they know the rest of my story.* But she wasn't going to elaborate, mostly because she didn't want the same reaction. She just wanted to make friends. So, hopefully, they could just ignore what she had said and move on. A tiny part of her wanted to open up, but she shoved it down and continued sitting quietly.

Suvansh's grin widened at what Nene said. It was exactly why he joined. And then, he started feeling a bit proud, as if guessing what Nene was thinking right then. Then, his mind snapped to the parallel conversation going on. No hugs? Awh! That made him just wanna go and give her a hug then and there, but well, two things, she was already sticking onto Tsukasa, and then, he couldn't be sure if she would be comfortable by him doing so, even if it would be just an elder brotherly hug. He saw the look in her eyes, and guessed that there was more to the sadness in her eyes than mere pity, but well, he did not pester.

Showing absolutely no sign of letting go anytime soon, Tsukasa noticed Alison tense slightly. Hmm. He’d have to get to that later. “I don’t pity you,” he explained, leaning forward to face her a bit more. “I’m just sad for you. It’s different. But I’m gonna make up for it!" With that, he nuzzled back into her shoulder with a happy sigh. A twinkle in his eye, Amane whispered to Alison, “Of course, it helps that he likes both you and hugs.”

Nene rolled her eyes. “What, so do you like me and hugs, then? You’re still hugging me, after all,” she pointed out to Amane, shaking her arm lightly. In response to Amane spluttering beside her she dryly added, “Can give it but not take it, huh?” She shot Suvansh and Ri a look like, this guy, am I right?

Alison shrugged. "Okay." She didn't really mind the attention, but she was mostly glad that they didn't pity her. Despite what she had gone through (and to herself it wasn't much) She still didn't like pity. She glanced at Amane and then Tsukasa, and raised an eyebrow. "Is that why he won't stop hugging me?"

"Ugh, hugs..." Heidi said, shivering. She thought back to the last time someone tried to hug her. She had hexed them. She really didn't like physical contact, hugs, hand shakes, whatever. It make Heidi very uncomfortable, and it really annoyed her. Heidi turned her attention back down to the group. "Do something interesting already." she grumbled, repositioning herself.

Professor Hooch was taking a late night stroll through the forbidden forest. She seemed to be looking for something when she suddenly saw a part of the woods charred, as if something was burned there. Leaning down, she immediately realized what it was. "That kid. I haven't had the slightest of fun with you, and you already do this. Do you want to be expelled?"
Standing up, she waved her wand in two loops and brought it into the center. Immediately, the charred remains vanish, the green grass returning as before. "You better be grateful. No, you wouldn't be." Venturing farther into the forest, Hooch picked a few mushrooms and herbs, took out a small box, and put them inside. Then, she returned to the castle.


On an unused hallway, Samton was looking at his mushrooms, his hair as white as those of Prof. Hooch. His hair soon turned back, and he returned to his dorm.

Ri raised an eyebrow. Don't get her wrong, she could be quite affectionate herself, but all the spontaneous hugging between people who had just met was a bit much. Allison seemed like a real sweetheart, though, despite her perhaps unconventional conversational tactics. Slipping out of Nene's grip, she gave her a grin that said, I'm leaving you to deal with this, and began to walk towards the exit. "I'll see however isn't going to stand around hugging all day in the courtyard; last one there is a literal rotten egg!" she called over her shoulder.

The flame of the candle flickered in the darkened common room of the Hufflepuff dorms, one of the few lights still flickering. The main fireplace crackled in the background and the warm bath of light from the entryway were the only other light sources in the hollow. Occasionally students would trickle in from the outside but most of them headed straight to bed, those who didn't keeping to their groups and making small talk in another corner of the common room. The burn in his wrist was a familiar friend as Jules finally set his quill down, stretching out stiff muscles and hearing the pop of his shoulders. Letting out a sigh, he pushed the familiar chair back and gathered up his papers before dissaperating them to his room. With that work out of the way, it would be rounding up the straggling Hufflepuffs before curfew and making the rounds around the castle. Reminding the students that were still around to retire soon, Jules made his way towards the great hall to check if anyone was still eating. It wouldn't be a stretch given Hufflepuff's gluttonous nature, but as he made his way towards his intended destination, he caught sight of something intresting within the courtyard. A group of students, two Hufflepuffs, three Gryffindors, and a Slytherin from what he could pick out in the dark though he couldn't see clearly enough to tell who the students were. Interesting, he mussed, resting his chin on his palm as he observed the chaotic group from above, a wry smile on his face.

Greatly relieved to be distracted from Nene's remark, the boy turned to face Alison once more. Amane shrugged, but he still wore a smirk. "That's my guess," he said as neutrally as he could. Tugging on Nene's arm, he shouted after 'Ri, "Well, that's not going to be me!" Running after the older Hufflepuff and pulling Nene behind him, he laughed as he chased after Hurricane. This was already great.

Don't you dare leave me alone with him!! She was about to try and detach herself from the Ravenclaw boy when he apparently decided to move on as well. Nene squeaked as Amane pulled her forward, but quickly recovered and laughed along with him as they followed her best friend. "'Ri, if you even think about turning someone into a rotten egg...I'll, uh, I'll pester you for ages about visiting your house until you let me!" Despite both of the girls living with muggles, they still hadn't managed to work out a visit to each other's houses, and Nene was desperate to be able to see her friend over the break as well as at school.

Tsukasa muttered something along the lines of "what's your excuse" in response to Amane before looking up as he raced off, the blonde Hufflepuff trailing behind. With a sigh, he tilted his head to face Alison once more. "I guess we should go, too," Tsukasa said, disappointed to have to stop hugging the Ravenclaw. Until he remembered what they were doing. "Oh!! Yeah, wait, we gotta go! We can't let them start without us!" Letting go of Alison finally, the boy instead linked arms with her and began to follow the group, turning to beckon to Suvansh as well.

Once again, Alison was dragged off before she could say anything. At least this time, she was able to keep up and wasn't being dragged to the point where she was barely able to stay upright. That was a good change of pace, to say the least. While she still had nagging fears about getting in trouble, and having to face her mother, she was starting to get more excited by the idea of doing something, anything with other people. Even if it was..whatever they were doing with eggs. But still, Alison was just glad for the social interaction. She staid quiet, not saying a word as she usually did.
