"That's the spirit! Though I've heard that Professor is more lenient than the other previous teachers." He mused, tapping his chin. He had heard the stories, of course, taken the History of Magic, done his research. He had been drilled on the events, albeit when he was young and unknowing of how much expectations had been placed on his tiny thin shoulders. He had learned of Severus Snape, of his actions in the war, of his reputation (though his parents would often sneer his name. A blood traitor, they said, someone who had the chance to be great but threw it away). "but we all need strict teachers in our lives anyways, they make you appreciate the nice teachers even more."

Her head inclined ever so slightly towards Aadwalen. “Good to see you, Nott. I’m the only Lestrange left in the family, the rest have died during the...battle. To what do I owe this pleasure?” Scarlett asked, stepping nearer to him, before waving off an anxious Hagrid

"Oh, sorry. And it is to our schedule, I suppose. I heard you cause some headache yesterday too. Love the chaos, don't we?" Of the three years Adalwen was hear, one of the main causes of chaos was, of course, Scarlett. He was rather thankful for it, in all honesty, considering how those often acted as distractions for his quicker, more silent and yet more deep ventures.

Noticing the rather concerned look on Hagrid's face, Adalwen looked over and smiled. Were his eyes open, it would have felt utmost sinister, but having kept his eyes closed, a somewhat warm feeling flowed through Hagrid, who now returned to preparing his lesson.

"I'll take your word for it," she said casually. Alison had never entered a school, and had virtually taught herself evreything. But this was a new experience, so she knew that whatever Jules told her was most likely right. "Though I'm glad that he's more lenient then others." Even if Potions was an unpopular subject, the Proffessor would make an impact on things.

"Mhm. Good Professors can make or break the class." He agreed, hopping down the stairs as they stopped before the dungeons. "And here we are. Potions class is the only class down here so it's pretty easy to remember that.. Slytherin dorms are down here too so if you make any Slytherin friends, they can help lead you down here if you ever forget." The potions room was about as welcoming as the rest of the environment, which is to say not at all, and true to his word it was much colder down here than it was before.

“Jules, is a fool. He tarnishes the Hadrian’s name. What does it matter to him, what concerns are there of him, that makes him ask me what I’m doing? Prying, snooping...tsk. Whilst on the surface the chaos is minimal, these are crucial in my plan, and I will not let some foolish Hufflepuff head boy ruin it. The chaos was perhaps a inelegant finish, but it worked nonetheless. His parents told me, they would much rather have me as a kid. They’ve already promised to let me inherit their wealth. A hufflepuff, no less. He’s worse than Sirius. At least get placed into Gryffindor, or Ravenclaw, if you’re too weak and unworthy of the Slytherin title. Pathetic. What’s worse, is that he’s such a goody two shoes. So kind, helpful, and a role model. Ugh, it makes me SICK. If I could make failure a person, it would be him. How I wish I could just use Crucio on him. His spell work is abysmal. Honestly......he even disgraces the word failure. He’s worse than that. He’ll never be the person his mother wants him to be. Pillock, lickspittle, mumpsimle, milksop, mooncalf, arsloch.Oh I could go on and on, and still not stop.”

Scarlett scoffed, as she freely let black shadows surround them, sending fierce glares to the other students. The two of them could be a formidable duo, perhaps even unstoppable, Scarlett thought, but she would raise that again when she trusted him more. As for which side she would be on, it was still, unclear.

Slytherin friends..the only Slytherin Alison knew was Tsuaka, and she hadn't seen him since before The Sorting. But, it reminded her that she had friends, and that was a cheeful thought. She shivered, this place was definetly cold, and she shivered again when she put a hand on the door. Looking back at Jules, she said, "Thanks again for walking me here. I'd probablly still be stuck where I was when you found me if you hadn't helped me out."

Noticing the other student shivering, Jules took out his wand. With a complicated wave of his wand, hot air streamed out of it, warming up her clothes. It would probably keep Alison warm until halfway through the class, but it was better than nothing. "It's no problem, really. I remember when I first came here and was helplessly lost. It was difficult for sure and I'd hate for others to go through that same trouble." He replied, waving away the praise. "Now go on, off to class." making small shooing motions for Alison to hurry up. Classes would start soon after all and Jules himself made his way towards his Muggle Studies class.

"The most likely to be the parselspeak would be he.
The dark lord in question sadly not me"

"The Hadrians suffer quite a disgrace in the circle of 28. Another Longbottom, another Weasely. That's how those still dedicated to power refer to them as now."

Adalwen ran his eyes across the field, trying to locate a Thestral. Seeing one, he smiled slightly and nodded at it slowly. The thestral, seeing this started walking towards him. It was a rare sight, and Hagrid, for one, was surprised. The half-giant started to call after the thestral, fearing it would attack Nott. As the thestral came close by, Nott petted it, slowly, painlessly and secretly cut one of it's hair using a hidden knife, hid it, and let the thestral go. He made sure no one had seen him as he did so, except Scarlett. Seeing the thestral go, Hagrid stopped. Adalwen looked at Hagrid questioningly. Hagrid turned around and left, intending to fetch the beast he would then use to teach.

“Thestral hair. Nice work. The parselhark is definitely him. Do you know who the dark lord may be?” Scarlett mumbled, so only Nott could hear. “You can see the thestrals too? Well, meet me in the Room Of Requirement, or what’s left of it, tonight at 6pm. We’ll talk more then. Think of Slytherin and pure bloods as you walk past the wall. I’ll be there” she whispered, as the class began. Her instructions were no doubt confusing, as there was obviously no more room of requirement, however, the Hadrian family had shared a tip to make hidden spaces

"He, as in Chloe? Do you have much of a reason to believe him to be a parseltoungue? Very well then, I shall see you there tonight." Adalwen had quite a few questions pop up in his mind, but he decided that they would better be left for night. Seeing Hagrid return, he turned to Scarlett. "For now, then, let us part."

Next up for 'Ri was Defense Against the Dark Arts, or D.A.D.A., as most students called it. She suspected that the sole reason she hadn't flunked it was her ability to produce a Patronus, which solved most issues. Need people distracted? Patronus! Dementor? Patronus! Dueling, want to confuse your opponent? Send a swallow at their face! Never, though, would 'Ri ever tell anyone the memory she drew on to create it. Not for a long time, at least. Not even Nene, unless she figured it out on her own, which the brunette doubted would happen simply because the other girl had not yet been over to 'Ri's house. She was at classroom 2E, and D.A.D.A. was in classroom 3C, so she had to head down the stairs, towards the Serpentine Corridor.

You were faithful then, You'll be faithful now."

"Thank you, and of course," she said hurriedly, entering the classroom. The chill had made things a lot more unpleasent, but while she still was nervous, at least she wasn't shivering. The class itself, Alison was slightly fidgety and distracted, something that was unusual for her. She certainly agreed with the many students, Potions was not her best subject and definetly, at least so far, not her favorite class. It didn't help that her mind kept going to the fact that the classroom was, quite literally, a dungeon, and at one point, she nearly dropped her book on her foot, though she gave herself a strong mental chiding afterwards as she didn't know why she was so nervous. True, the room was uninviting and the teacher scared her just a bit, but that was no reason to be this way. Alison had gotten preety good at scolding herself.

As he entered the classroom, Jules let out a sneeze. Were the dungeons really so cold that he was getting sick? He hoped not. That would really really suck. Rubbing his nose, he took a seat and tried to pay attention. Last year, his worst class had been this exact class, Muggle Studies. This class would probably be his most applicable class, however, as his plans for the future would possibly include living among the muggles. He would have to learn how to live with them, pretending to be one of them. But Merlin's Beard was Professor Stanford boring. The lecture would compose of nothing but the man's exploits within the muggle world and nothing about actually blending in with the masses. He was practically wasting his time with this class and was strongly contemplating dropping this particular class. He knew that if he went to Professor Flitwick or Headmistress McGonagall, they too would encourage him to drop a few classes, his already bursting timetable of 11 classes along with two extracurricular activities much too taxing on one person in addition to Head Boy duties.

Gently hitting his head against the desk, he groaned internally. Maybe he would drop some classes. It wasn't like anyone would stop him, his family was already probably in the process of disowning him and moving his inheritance to someone else. Probably Scarlett. Mother liked her and he could understand why. But even if it was unearned and misguided, he still had some semblance of loyalty towards his family and was determined to at least fulfill some of their expectations. Namely that he would come out with the best grades in each of his classes. Merlin's Beard he hated his sense of profound loyalty at times, acting as shackles when placed with the wrong person or group.

The second period was free for Samton, and he decided to take a walk around the castle. Some think Ravenclaws are only book-smart. They would be wrong. Getting knowledge firsthand from an amazing source such as the Hogwarts castle is something many can only dream of. Thinking of the architecture, he walked from corridor to corridor, hardly paying attention to where he was. It was then that he suddenly felt a huge presence behind him. "Can I help you, Nott?"

The rest of the period went rather calmly for Adalwen, who excused himself as soon as the time arrived. He had a free period, and based on what he had heard, so did Redrose. As secretly as possible, Adalwen searched for Samton, finding him wandering alone in a corridor.

Jules' hand was already starting to hurt with how many notes he was taking, notes slowly becoming more and more illegible as the class wore on. He was lucky that his next class would be Care of Magical Creatures, a class that didn't require very much physical note-taking. Buckling down even harder to take neat notes, Jules focused his wandering mind back on his current lesson. He could relax once this class was over, spending time with whatever animal Hagrid had decided to teach about today. He hoped it would be snakes. He liked them and he suspected he would even without his ability to understand them. There was something about their gentle and soft nature that drew them to him, especially when they sunned themselves on warm rocks. It really was adorable when snakes just curled up in the warmth of someone they trusted. And there his mind went again, wandering again. With a soft internalized laugh, he once again focused on Professor Stanford's droning voice.

Adalwen Nott
Samton Redrose

"Redrose, huh? That's a funny name. Are you really so bad at naming that you just changed the colour and object of your name? Did you really hope no one would figure it out? Mr Greengrass?" Adalwen's sly smile was wide, covering his entire face. Almost anyone who saw it would cower in fear.

"To be more accurate, I took the last name of my mom and changed it. It really isn't too noticeable, especially since officially, the Greengrass family is dead." Samton did not flinch. His eyes were much firmer than usual. He had his hand on his hip, ready to draw his wand at the slightest provocation.

"Can't blame them for that, now can we? After all, that 'little accident' ended the life of the Greengrass family. Who knew the poisoned apple who caused it survived?"

"Why, glad you remember me, Nott." Samton glared. "I see your socialization skills lack as much as ever before. Turned another potential ally away, did you not?" For the first time, Samton's smile looked as sinister as Nott's. "Are you sure you want to make another enemy today? Sit tight in your dorm room, why don't you?"

"So, u decided to join us after all huh? You are a pureblood slytherin now, looks and all."

"If I had to choose between you and Hogwarts, you'll find yourself lying on the floor."

With these words, Samton withdrew to his dorm. Although he sounded so certain a few moments ago, in reality he was feeling... insecure. "Calling Nott's bluff was one thing, but if this prophesy he was thinking about is real, then I'll have to be very careful. He suspects the Lestrange girl to be the possible dark lord, huh? Hopefullly, Prof Mcgonagall already has a plan."

Nott himself started for the courtyard. "His skills as a legilimens is scary, indeed. He surpassed my occluency and saw right through me. He wasn't even shocked to know his life secret is out. Just what is going on in his head?"

Backstory

Samton Greengrass and Adalwen Nott. Considered to be brothers in arms, the two used to be part of the most promising younglings being trained to serve the dark lord. Nott's charms were able to bring almost all beasts to submission, and is considered widely to be the most coldblooded of them all. Greengrass was the most gifted in raw power, and this untamed power caused a spell he cast to go berserk. This happened while he was 8, and the spell's effect consumed his mother. Samton Greengrass was not seen either, and was assumed dead. What followed is unclear, but Samton arrived at Hogwarts bearing the last name "Redrose".

Scarlett walked up to Nott, quietly placing a hand on his shoulder. “Fret not. The Greenglass Samton is weak. He leaves his heart vulnerable to emotions, and you’ll soon see. Raw power is of no use to me. Foolish wand work, alongside abysmal knowledge, will reap no rewards. He is, however, someone to watch out for. His occulmency, while admirable, is nothing compared to Aurora’s. Unfortunately, she remains firm on the good side too.”

Nott lookde at Scarlett and gave a half smile. "Oh dear, you have no idea. How can a cruciatus curse, fired in one direction, not just hurt, but kill a full grown dark wizard who was over two feet away? He has grown weaker, certainly. He no uses the all powerful dark magic, after all. But his eyes back then... He's no Chloe. Should he find it necessary, he might just kill us all."

Regaining his posture, Nott took a deep breath and turned to Lestrange. "However, there's no point in worrying, nor is it necessary."

"Someone helped him out. Find out who they are, get to them, and he's as good as ours."

Finally, he spoke... "True indeed. Aurora should be compromised first."

Heidi was barely listening. History of Magic was useless, in her opinion, and was the most boring class in the entire world. The ghost professor drones on and on about the few known escapes from Azkaban. Heidi, personally, preferred muggle criminals. Now, that was a topic she was interested in. In a bookshelf in her dorm room, she had dozens of books on criminals. Movies, documentaries, shows. You name it, she probably has it. As long as its on criminals.
