Squatting down, Hakurei regarded the Electrivire with curiosity. As most Electrivire's stood at 5'11, this small Pokemon was a very big anomaly. Hakurei gently poked the other on the forehead, curious to see what would happen

(I'm just gonna do it like they do in the games 'cause that's easier for me.)

*The Dynamax engergy surounded Nicky and Hop!

*. . .

*The foe Dubwool used Double Kick!

*Darko avoided the attack viva Nicky's shout.

*Darko used Dark Pulse!

*Darko landed a critical hit and is wishing to be praised!

*The foe Dubwool fainted!

The two appeared to be evenly matched, but no matter what Hop seemed to do he wasn't able to knock out any of Nicky's team though he did seem to get close a few times. Practicly every Galarian was going berserk, screaming for the two to dynamax their Pokemon, then finally they did.

It was nearly over and both trainers were down to their starters and two ledgendaires. Hop sent out Rillaboom while Nicky called back her Drednaw and sent out her Cinderance in its place. Hop dynamaxed his starter immediately, "Time for Dynamax!"

Nicky followed suit. "Let's turn up the heat! Bugs, it's Dyamax time!" The two trainers called back their starters only for their pokeballs to get huge with the Dynamax energy, but that was nothing compared to starters got huge, nearly as tall as the tallest building. Everyone went nuts, half screaming for Nicky and the other half for Hop. "Bugs Max Flare go!" The huge fire type kicked a large ball of flame at the foe Rillaboom, knocking out in one hit and making the arena sunny.

Baian watched on in surprise. Sure he'd heard of Gigamaxing, but this was the first time he'd ever seen it in person. "I wonder if you guys can do that." He murmured, idly playing with his pokeballs. A battle sounded nice although a Pokemon contest sounded even better. Baian was sure there wouldn't really be a contest hall, however, as contests weren't really popular outside of Honenn, Sinnoh, and Unvoa.

Ally was watching the battle along with Mewtwo. The psychic type seemed interested in the match. It flicked its tail, interested in their fighting styles and strategies.

The knocked out Rillaboom shrank back down to its original size and fainted as Hop called it back before sending out his Corvknight, and despite what would've been KO hits the Corvknight managed to out last the last two turns of Nicky's dynamaxed starter, once the thrid turn passed the Cinderance shrank back down to its regular size. Nicky called back her starter after it endured a would've been KO hit (so Nicky wouldn't feel sad) and after what appeared to be a moment's hesitation sent out the feared ledgedary Eternatus. Some Galarians gasped and others recoiled a bit at the pokemon, but they didn't shrink away from the fight and niether did Hop, in fact Hop seemed rather intriged.

*The foe Corvknight used Swagger!

*Dark One is confused!

*Dark One used Flamethrower!

*The foe Corvknight fainted!

*. . .

*Hop sent out Zamazenta!

*Nicky called back Dark One and sent out Blue (Zacian)!

More people gasped. "So it is true! They did prevent Darkest Day!" "Who would've thought Zacian and Zamazenta would've chosen them?"

These ledgendary Pokemon intrigued Baian. Unhooking Poseidon from his great ball, Baian angled it so that the water ledgendary could see. "Do you know them?" He murmured, watching the fight intensely. The responsiding movement the Pokeball made was a negative, disappointing Baian. He was curious to know what the darkest day was

"What's that? Darkest Day?" Katniss almost seemed to apear from now where.

A Galarian looked at Katniss with a grim expression. "3,000 years ago, when Eternatus attempted to stay alive by absorbing Galar's energy, it caused a red light to appear. This resulted in the Darkest Day. This phenomenon, in the form of a black storm, caused Pokémon to Dynamax and Gigantamax. However, they became berserk in the process, almost destroying the region. The event ended when Eternatus was defeated by Zacian and Zamazenta."

He shook his head. "A few months back, Chairman Rose aimed to use Eternatus to bring about the Darkest Day above Hammerlocke Stadium to avert the Dynamax energy shortage predicted to happen after a thousand years. Sonia, our new professer had also conducted research into the Darkest Day. She learned that the event was connected to one Pokémon and that that the two heroes of Galar were not humans but Pokémon. Rose awoke Eternatus during the time the Nicky and Leon were about to have their Championship Match. However, he couldn't control it, so Eternatus caused the Darkest Day to happen again, affecting all the Power Spots in Galar."

The Galarian woman next ot him piped up, "Acording to Hop himself, when Nicky defeated Eternatus for the first time, it absorbed all the energy in Galar to achieve its Eternamax state, further speeding the Darkest Day. Nicky and Hop himself then bring out the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield in hope to stop Eternatus. This resulted in Zacian and Zamazenta awaking and coming to their aid. The four worked together to defeat Eternatus before Nicky caught it, putting an end to the Darkest Day." She smiled a bit. "If it wasn't for them, Galar wouldn't be alive now, and we might not either."

Ally overheard the conversation about The Darkest Day and asked, "So pretty much, Eternatus was reason for The Darkest Day?" Mewtwo also seemed curious about that.

The two shrugged, but the woman spoke. "Perhaps, but when Nicky was interviewed after the incident she didn't think it was all Eternatus' fault. Rose forced it to wake up, if he hadn't the event never would've happened. But it's not like she's completely wrong though."

A girl with a Mewtwo caught Baians eye but he stayed silent. He had seen many disasters. Survived the reawakening of Kyogre and Groudon. Survived Rayquaza. But he hasn't done anything to help. Only evacuated people with his Pokemon when Kyogre got too close. Insecurities one over the other piled upon Baians shoulders. He wasn't great like the other trainers here.

Mewtwo tapped on Ally's shoulder. She turned and replied, "Ah sorry, your shoulder needs to be healed a bit?" She patted Mewtwo's right shoulder. The wound slowly started healing. "That better?" Mewtwo nodded, not feeling much pain on the shoulder.

“That’s interesting...” she muttered as she heard the explanation. Sure, she had saved Sinnoh from Giratina single-handedly(?), while fighting off Dialga, Palkia, Arceus, and Team Plasma, but the story with Eternatus sounded just as dangerous. She had to give them both respect, it was a pretty big deal saving the region.

Just then, a 14 year old kid burst into the crowd, jumping all over the place. He was full of energy and was excited to see that he could take on other people here. He looked around the crowd, wondering if he could fight anyone, but he was more interested in Nicky and Hop’s battle

The fight with the last two Pokemon was intense and everyone could feel the burning desire to win in each trainer. Hop's tactic seemed more on the offense and more focused on landing hits on Nicky's Pokemon while Nicky seemd more on the defense, charging up Zacian's attack to prepare the leathal blow. Just as it seemed Hop at trapped Nicky in a corner with constantly using Behemoth Bash she healed Zacian to full health and finished off Zamazenta with a high powered Sacred Sword.

"And the winner is. . . Nicky Aunflis! Congratulations!"

Everyone cheered as the two left, though Hop seemed a bit defeated, it was clear the two had a strong bond of friendship linking them together that could only be the result stemming from childhood friendship. Hop's calm and relaxed deminor as he rested his hands behind his head while Nicky's seemed a bit more tense but her arms swang freely at her sides. People rushed in as if to swallow the two up in attempt to either get Nicky's autograph or a picture of her or with her.

Hop's voice rang out above the throng of the constantly begging crowd. "Don't make me get Rillaboom out!" Everyone scattered and left the two alone. Nicky seemed relieved, seems she couldn't catch a break from popularity.

"Excuse me. . .can I has your autigarph?" A small boy, maybe five at most, asked nervously.

Nicky smiled warmly. "Sure kiddo." She knelt down and signed the paper and Hop followed on the sheet next to her. When they had finnished the kid broke into a huge grin and ran off to find his mother.

Hop laughed at Nicky. "Not used to crowds still? It's been months!"

"No." Nicky stated. "Don't reckon I ever will either. I'm not your "Unbeatable" brother Hop."

Seeing the trainer with the Mewtwo away on her feel, Baian approached with a water bottle and a smile. "Hey miss. Drink some water and sit down okay? You don't look very well." He coaxed, handing her the bottle.

Bede was watching people gush over Nicky from afar and unseen, secertly envious of her.

Nicky looked over at the Mewtwo and it's trainer. She had swapped her party back over and Silver the shiny Eevee burst out and bolted over. Still beign a lvl 1 it was fairly new. . .to pretty much everything. "Eevoi Eevoi Eevoi!"
