Andromeda nodded and turned off the main road into the snowy
forest. Her paws crunched into the frozen snow lightly, moving
swiftly ahead of the others. The moonlight filtered through the
trees, slightly illuminating parts of Andromeda's fur. Soon, a
rocky mound appeared in the land before them. Andromeda headed
towards the opening in the rocks and disappeared inside.
Andromeda padded silently to the back end of the cave and laid
down, stretching her paws out in front of her. " Is that
bad?, she asked, glancing at Kat's injured paw.
" Better clean it before you sleep, " Andromeda said as she
laid her head on her paws. "Bites are dirty, and can become
infected." She had chosen a spot against the cave wall, leaning
slightly up against it. She looked out of the cave entrance, seeing
a sliver of moonlight coming through the trees. I wonder who
that wolf was..., she pondered.
Kanti lay down beside her comrades, flicking her hood up over her
head. She crossed her arms across her chest and bent one knee up,
finding it to be the most comfortable position to lie in as a
human.
( ha it can have no meaning. Just another non sequitur event in our
adventure )
Andromeda yawned widely, " Well, we may not cross paths with him
again, if the humans got him. We'll move on, and worry about a new
thing tomorrow, " she said.
A thin beam of sunlight came through the cave and rested on
Andromeda's face. The light was absorbed by her dark fur, but she
was awakened by the warmth. Her eyes fluttered open, and she yawned
widely.
Kanti blinked awake. She surprised herself by seeing she was still
in her human form; normally she slept as a fox, even when she was
living in the city. "Morning," She yawned.
"Morning," Lucia yawned, opening her eyes slowly and blinking. At
some point during the night she'd morphed back into a human, though
she couldn't exactly remember when.
" Mmhmm," Andromeda grunted a response and got to her paws,
stretching. She shook her fur and padded towards the entrance to
the cave to sit in the sun fully. " Are you two still full of
candy, or do you want to hunt?," she asked, glancing back into
the cave at Kanti and Lucia.
Mel grinned widely and reached into her pockets, pulling out more
white chocolate. "Nah, I'm good." She laughed and unwrapped one,
popping it into her mouth. "You guys can hunt if you want. I'll
help too."
