A Dangerous Rebellion
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Dangerous RebellionJason slowed a bit so that Max could get ahead of them as he had no idea where they were going to go. Once they were ahead he let the horse speed up again.
Octavius realized he could lose his grip and did so. Just enough to be friendly while driving. He longed to put his hands somewhere else. Do something but he could place why.
Jason decided to not go full out since Octavius seemed more relaxed at this pace. "Enjoying the ride?" He called out.
"Thank you," Octavius murmured, thanking Jay for giving him such peace and happiness.
Jason was happy to hear the thanks, but he could hear that it was meant as thanks for something more. Soon they slowed and came to a stop next to Max and Razz.
Octavius hopped down before extending his hand out to Jay. Looking at the cliff, he smiled. "I can get us down onto the beach in a moment. Won't take long and I can get us all down with the supplies at once," he said.
Jason smiled and took Octavius' hand to hop down next to him. "If you're willing, I think that'd be wonderful!" He glanced over to see Cassie at the edge and he looked to Octavius. "You said you'd seen the ocean right?"
Octavius chuckled, nodding before collecting their bags from the horse. "That is how I got here. It was terribly unnerving to not feel solid ground beneath my feet and be connected to the earth. On land, I am connected to all of the elements. I carry water with me so that I am. But feeling this vast, ever moving water beneath me on the slave ship was frightening. I was used to calm storms if they appeared."
"You will never have to be on a ship like that again." Jason put his hand on Octavius' shoulder. "Never again. You never have to be out during a storm either." He glanced up to the sky then smiled. "Today shall be a good day for being on the water, the wind just right, and the sun nice and warm on our backs."
"Never again...I'm free..." Octavius murmured, looking up at Jason. "Though, being in a rainstorm is quite refreshing. I think I would like to come out during those. Let's go down," he said, striding towards the edge of the cliff. "A path or just an elevator?" He asked the group, shaking out his muscles.
"Then during the next rainstorm we can do that." Jason smiled and followed beside him. "I think an elevator would be very exciting! I've heard of them, but I've never ridden one!"
Octavius shook his head with a smile. "Once we get down there, I am going to let loose. I have been itching to have this much space and freedom to just...be." He used a form of tai chi to control the elements, centering himself, Octavius ran through a few movements to gather a large enough mass of sand from below for them to stand on. "Don't worry. I won't let us fall. Just stay away from the edges. I don't want someone to lean too far," he said stepping into the sand and placing himself in the middle.
Jason grinned and gasped before following right after Octavius. "This is very impressive Octavius," He chuckled as he gently moved his foot over the sand.
The headhead ducked his head, blushing nearly as bright red as his hair. "This is nothing. But thanks. And I just...I don't know, it's like a connection. Like stretching a muscle. I know it isn't telekenisis because it doesn't work on other objects."
Jason clapped Octavius on the back gently and chuckled. "No need to be so modest! This really is amazing in our eyes since we can do nothing of the kind!"
Jason put a hand on Octavius' shoulder again and nodded. "Very nicely done, you all good?"
Jason sighed and shook his head. "Oh jeez, c'mere ya big lug." He couldn't not do it anymore. He gently pulled Octavius into a hug. If he was uncomfortable there was plenty of wiggle room to get out, but Jason needed to make sure he was being successful in comforting him.
Octavius hugged him back, tugging him closer. "I want to try something in the water. With the waves. I want to stand on them and let the water carry me around." He'd seen people surf but wasn't entirely sure what it was called.
