I know some of us have quite a few and I know whenever I'm over 5M+ that I constantly get questioned if they could have money which is obviously against the rules. Or if I'll buy something I'm clearly not interested in buying.

There is the worry of the person not having the money to do a trade, but that is what the auction house is for or the trusted trading thread.

I'm just tired of constantly being messaged for IGM for little or no effort from other/new players.

Fazz made up some pictures and I'll credit them accordingly.

only if you are thinking like this -
a setting in misc setting that say hide your money from profile that will have on and off button.
if its on there in profile pokedollar amount will be not shown out ;)

if it is something like this then it is good and you can add this images in main post for reference

I have always felt PD on your page was a weirdly personal thing to have. It's probably for safety to make sure people have the PD to pay for things but it's really nobody's business and leads to unwanted begging.

No support.

I get what you're saying and I think it's a reasonable argument. However, I personally don't want the money to be hidden. It creates a whole lot of trouble for scamming - scammers would feel a lot more comfortable scamming if they can hide their money. Yes, the auction house exists, but that's not for one to one trading and the T3 thread is mainly used for big trades. If everyone uses it for every small trade they do, we wouldn't be able to keep up.

If someone is begging you for money, just report it. It's very much against the rules and will be dealt with accordingly.

@Silverstar
Riako can simply add some codes & strings that will help in when a user hide there pd then still moderator can see the user money in there user-profile but normal user can't see (Y)

but then it isn't fair to normal users, since we wouldn't be able to see if the person we're trading with has the PD or not, and could possibly get scammed from it if we don't use the trusted trading thread?

In a perfect world, we'd all use it, but even then, the trusted trading thread is run by a few moderators, and that would be quite the burden to have them do every single trade of ours, all because we cannot see the other persons' PD.

No support, if people are constantly bugging you for pd, you can block + report, you could set yourself to get palpad messages from friends only, you could also add (in slightly bigger font from your profile) that you are not giving PD away, and asking for PD will get them reported/blocked.

Theres' a few ways to lessen the chance of people asking you for things/wanting your PD, just for this reason :)

Like Girafarig has already said, my point isn't solved by making it so that moderators can see the money. By the time we're involved, it's likely that the scam has already happened. I believe that all users have the right to see other people's money.

I do agree with you guys, but I still dislike the fact that people can see how much PD I have. Just like I dislike how people can see what's inside my pokeboxes but that is a different issue.

Given the fact that the new trading system is supposed to allow items and currency to be added to trades, the likelihood of getting scammed just because the PD value isn't seen is much lower.

The only issue about hiding it will come to things like art/design auctions or rewards for contests and junk.

But if that happens, there's a lovely report option, which would be better to use if the person actually scams rather than for the minor violation (and major annoyance) of the begging rule.

So, once the GTS is updated, this gets 100% of my support.

But after reporting, does the user get their stuff back? We have this rule, too. Better be safe than sorry, so I guess this shouldn't be implemented.

As we have new trading system now we should have this feature so we can have the privacy to show the pd in our profile or not :P

Ik this is old, but I support honestly. It could also be helpful for 'guess how many PD I have' giveaways/contests (as I have seen those before, but the users have had to put the PD in a private trade so people wouldn't cheat); the user could disable PD on their page, host the giveaway, and then turn it back on when it ends ^^ Definitely not a necessary feature in any way, but it would be helpful for a number of reasons.
