I probably already posted here, but I support! I actually only have one contact link.. but anyways ^^

I see a lot of people with unorganized contact me links. It not only bugs me off, but it probably bugs a lot of other people off.

Quote from Rules2.3 Please avoid SPAMing (Writing stupid pointless annoying messages) in your posts and also the abuse of smileys. Use them to express your feelings, but not to bug other members.
2.4 You may not make two posts in a row (double-posting). Exception: Personal threads like fanmade showcases.

I hate to be that white knight, but there are rules.

Although pretty mediocre, they're still there.

???

i really dont understand where you're going with this, bumping is a way to re-up a thread after its been dead? you can only bump after 2 days, and i've been doing that?? and plus i only revived this after 28 days lmao

(i mean you are 18 days on this site so you must not know everything??)

Says nothing about exceptions for bumping in the forum rules.

Also, I don't see why you're bringing up me joining here 18 days ago, that's pretty irrelevant here, and a low blow at that.

Get off your high horse.

It is for what's put in the fine print regarding the forum rules.

I support the suggestion. It would certainly be nice to simply put them into order without having to remove and add the links over and over again.
As for the little discussion going on here, I suppose since no mod has intervened with the bumping yet, it should be okay? Don't quote me on that but I think if it really was that big of a problem, one of the mods would have already said something idk

Okay, excuse my ignorance, I did find what @-kookie- was talking about with that very obscure bumping rule for suggestion threads, which can be found here.

Even with that being a rule, is all that bumping really actually necessary here?

Like, do you really have to go allow users to bump that much, just so they get their suggestions seen?

I guess it would make sense, since there are 4 year old suggestions just sitting around that are still being "considered".

I don't believe how bumping even those would even save those either. I really don't see the logic in how a bumping rule like that is necessary whatsoever.

41 bumps on a suggestion that's 10 months old for a simple feature that would take only a few minutes to go and implement, and is actually a decent suggestion.

Also, you're silly if you would believe a single Admin/Developer can handle all this workload for a site that's more at large like this. You need an actual development team that can have good upkeep with all these suggestions, and actually take the time to go through them all lmao. Those Spriters/Artists don't really count for what IS a Developer either, they only help with that game's development to an extent.

(This is a suggestion not an argument!! This site is very prone to drama and new users have to know that if you trigger a user it will go sitewide that you did that, not sure you want that. Yes they double posted but in this kind of thread you can do that {I'm pretty sure}, its a personal one. They need to keep the suggestion alive somehow and this is how, you may have come from a site like Chicken Smoothie with their rules but these are very different)

Aaaanyway, full support. Not sure how this ISNT a good idea! Though I wouldn't use it now who's to say I wouldn't use it in the future?

Quote from KnightyThis is a suggestion not an argument!!

Doesn't mean I don't have the freedom to say what I want, and give thoughts on what the OP is doing in their own suggestion thread.

The display of how absurd the bumping here is obscene, and I wanted to go ahead and point that out, because I can.

Quote from KnightyThis site is very prone to drama and new users have to know that if you trigger a user it will go sitewide that you did that, not sure you want that.

Not like there aren't other sites/communities that are the same way, and are loaded with toxic users as well.

By all means, I will say that I hope that I genuinely triggered said user, if that means with what I'm saying would go sitewide. It would be nice to see what I'm saying here would go somewhere at least. Instead of seeming like suggestions that have been brushed off, and have grown to be 4 years old.

Could careless for anything else, let people think what they want.

Quote from KnightyYes they double posted but in this kind of thread you can do that {I'm pretty sure}, its a personal one.

If you just read through the beginning of my above post, I already pointed out that it's a legitimate rule, and even had hyperlinked the thread.

Also, it's not personal when you're suggesting a feature to the game/site, and are looking for the support of others for your idea. You're putting an idea out there that others may possibly like, and support for themselves, as well.

It's for the people, it's for the community.

Quote from KnightyThey need to keep the suggestion alive somehow and this is how

You're kidding right?

Keep it alive for what?

My last post with what I brought up, is that just oblivious or what.

Quote from Knightyyou may have come from a site like Chicken Smoothie with their rules but these are very different

Lol, Chicken Smoothie? Hello?

Are you trying to imply that I lack the competence of abiding by the rules of this site, or what?

How is even me coming from wherever I came from before here hold any relevance?

Give me a break.

At this point, it might be better to take this to personal messages. You can dislike it all you like, but if there had been any rules broken with all the bumping, I'm sure one of the mods would have told the OP to stop it. In the end, it is OP's decision if they want to keep bumping it or not. Some like it and want to do it, others don't.

Please stop using this specific thread to discuss the validity/need of our rules.
While I can get behind your first comment [as it was linked to the actual thread] any further discussion, that has nothing to do with the actual suggestion portrayed in this thread, is not wanted nor needed in this specific thread.

If you feel like something isn't as it should be, please post such comments/concerns in our Bug/Complaints forum, rather than derail a suggestion-thread from the actual suggestion. Highjacking a thread [as this is called] is not conform the rules, as rule 2.2 makes clear that any posts should fit the topic of the thread. In this case, your 'visit me' links in your profile, not whether or not bumping every two-three days is excessive.
Especially since, as you pointed out, they're within their rights to do so, which kinda slides out of 'discussion/argument' and slides into 'I don't like you doing this particularly and I'll make sure everyone knows', which is disrespectful. Based on the fact you're having this discussion in their suggestion thread, rather than in a separate one.

If you wish to discuss/bring to light your thoughts on bumping, please do so where it belongs [Bug/Complaints], don't derail/highjack a thread to do so.
[I'll give whoever needs/wants it, the time to take the essence from their post(s), but the argument will be deleted from this thread within 24 hours, at the latest]

[post-edit - If this is a discussion that could benefit the site, please don't keep it in PM, just put it in a different thread; even if you take it to PM, keep it respectful]
