It seemed everyone was more concerned with the fact we'd all been pulled from our realities and thrown back into World War II instead of the fact that we'd barely escaped a horde of zombies and poor Karl was hurt. Not just hurt, that he had been bitten and needed medical attention. Then a girl who, to my untrained eye, looked like she belonged to some branch in the military, spoke up. I was glad to hear her tell the others to calm down to let Karl explain. At this point, my anger at the want to be comedian meant that I might have snapped at someone without meaning to. We didn't need to be at each others throats. There was plenty of other beings who would be more then happy to be at our throats in the city. Or more accurately, to eat our throats out. The military woman knelt down next to me and said she had basic training in first aid. If I hadn't been on my knees already to help Karl, that statement might have brought me to them.
"Oh! Yes! Yes, please! I have no training. I'm just going off of common sense, what I've read in books, and what my grandmother told me when she was alive. She was a nurse so she took care of me when I hurt myself out playing in the gardens. I would be very grateful for the help. And after we take care of Karl's leg, can I bother you to help me?" I asked, motioning to my arm. "I don't want to pull it out. I don't know if it hit an artery and I know that if it did, pulling it out before we're ready is the last thing I want to do. And I'm sure you'd rather not have me bleed out on you all," I added, giving her a nervous smile. "I'm Serena by the way."

Mag turned to the woman and smiled slightly. "I'm Magdalena, but you can call me Mag or Magda." She almost went to offer her right hand to shake but instead gently took the injured arm by the wrist. "Okay, what I'm going to do with this is I'm going to put a tourniquet on it and then remove the shard, but before I pull it, I'm going to give you some morphine..." She pulled a small needle with a rubber-like bulbous end to it out of the kit. "You'll probably still feel the metal being pulled, but it won't hurt as much... Are you allergic to any drugs?" She asks as she goes through the kit and pulls out a cloth strip and a rod.

Karl put a hand on Sally's shoulder, preventing her from beating Kai to a pulp. He gritted his teeth at the sulfa powders sting, but managed to speak anyway. "Kid if you keep acting like that, I'm either going to leave you hear or Sally is going to shoot you. You not only seriously injured this woman, but you nearly got us killed. If you keep pulling stunts like that, we'll have no chance of making it out alive." He turned back to the others. "Now for your questions. I'm assuming that you are all from some other point in time, judging by you strange outfits. I don't know why you've never heard of all this. Perhaps the government decided that keeping the zombie apocalypse secret was better than global panic. As for a crowbar, I wouldn't know. Some of the zombies carry them. You could take one from them. Anyway, an explanation. I'll give you the short version. Hitler used some kind of ancient demonic artifact to call forth an army of the dead. It was his last ditch effort to win the war. Luckily, we were able to contain the hordes within Germany. Sally and I are what's left of an elite sniper strike team, attempting to infiltrate Hitlers "Hell Mouth" bunker and destroy the artifact."
(Sorry for the wait guys)
I listen to Karl as I watched Mag get ready. I wasn't afraid of needles but if you didn't watch them as they were stuck in you, it didn't hurt as much. All that tension and expectation made it worse. So I would turn my head when she got ready to inject the morphine. In the mean time, it wouldn't hurt to watch and learn from what she was doing. If anyone else happened to get injured like this, regardless of the cause, I would hopefully be able to help. Hearing the part about a demonic artifact, I turned to look at Karl. "So...all that scary make believe from books and all those myths and stuff from legends...that could all exist? Or have existed depending on if someone was insane enough to use them. Like Hitler clearly was...is?" I asked, uncertain if he was gone by now or not. If he wasn't, I was seriously considering finding him myself and giving him a piece of my mind. Whether or not that was a good idea was irrelevant. Would I actually leave the group to hunt him down? No. If we ran into him would I call him every name in my vocabulary and try to mark him with my blades? You could count on it.

Mag nodded as the girl spoke. "There are several more in this kit, enough for Karl and then some." She let a slight smile pull the corner of her lips up as she stuck it into the girl's arm just above the wound while she was distracted. She listened to the conversation and the seemingly impossible sounding reason for this "hell-on-Earth" scenario. She wrapped the strip of cloth around the injured arm above the metal and tied the ends of the cloth to the rod and began to twist it around. "This is gonna get tight..." She said with a straight face for she wasn't new to the sight of blood or having to treat bloody injuries. Once the tourniquet is tight enough she uses medical tape to secure the rod so it won't unwind. "Here we go, this will feel a little weird, but shouldn't hurt." She gently took the girl's arm in one hand and gently set her fingers on the metal. "Molim se to radi." She muttered under her breath and pulls the metal out smoothly but quickly, still holding the girl's arm firmly. Once the metal was out she quickly powdered the area in Sulfa Powder and took wrappings out of the kit and wrapped them tightly around the wound. "We'll have to change these every day at least once..." She then turned to Karl and stared at the larger wound on his leg, deciding how best to treat it now that it was cleaned. Probably wrapping it, but I need to find out if it's broken... Then I'd have to splint it... That'd be rather bothersome... I don't have enough rods to do that... Drat... Her face was still blank as her mind ran over the various ways to make splints.
(I pray this works.)
