Everybody's talking about how bad their art is and I'm just sitting here thinking how my art is way worse than theirs.

Yeah but everyone hates their own art way more than other people's.
They just think they need to do better, I think.
Like, everyone at my school is like, "WAO UR RT IZ LE BEST EVR" And I'm just like, "It's not even that good"

The trick to that is to stop comparing your art to other people's
I think I said that in an earlier post tbh

My art is like the chewing gum that gets on your shoes in a theme park. It is bad and not cool dude. But my mom thinks it's cool. My art, not gum on your shoes.
Oh, and anybody can draw my ocs at anytime ^^

@Vonny I AM NOT A CHILD
Actually, I am :p

Vonny can you draw my painfully-difficult-to-draw-OC?
It's my avatar but I have a bigger version if you need a better reference

While MettatonEX is right, it also helps to look at other people's art and pick up on art styles. Look at the drawings, study the shapes and visualise what it would be like to draw it. Then, the most important bit comes in - practice. You cannot get anywhere without practice. Don't be distressed if you can't see improvement within days - it usually takes a couple of months. But no matter what you do, you practice always. You don't need to show anyone you bad sketches and practice scribbles, I never do and wouldn't dream of it.
You just don't give up hope, and always practice. Look at your daily practices, and watch your improvements slowly form.

OH, and if you're looking for stuff to draw..

You're supposed to practice consistency to get better, a lot of people say.
But sometimes it's hard for me to draw something twice except for my OC
Probably shouldn't try to always draw them in a different position lol

Another thing that's helped me is to listen to what more experienced artists (Namely, my father) say to me, and to really take it into account.
(If it weren't for a comment he made, my style wouldn't look the way it is now. It'd probably be stuck in a particularly cartoonish funk, since that's where I was before he told me to draw something in a style that was different from what I was used to.
I drew an Elsen, and while what I draw now isn't quite as lanky as that image, it's changed quite a bit.)

I think I'd be better if I actually knew how to draw in that sketch-style everyone does
with all the circles and lines.
Unfortunately, I haven't figured it out, yet.

I'm self taught... And I notice that I need a change of style. It's been the same for years.

@Mettaton

I love it! That's awesome!

@Noobly

If it's okay with you, I don't have very good sight ;w;

@Valpalkia

It's a bit small...

That's okay. I don't have very good sight either.
Here's a bigger ref. image.
Hopefully that might help.

On another note, I need to do something for 15 minutes. Bai

@Noobly
For some characters I have to abandon that method, though.
I never use the circles on the SkeleBros, Flowey, or Alphys.

@Dameron
Bro I would totally do that
I know that's not the help you wanted but its the help ur getting lol

Now that I know how to draw circles, I would like to try it.
Does anyone want me to draw their OC or whatever?
