She closes her eyes to get free from the bored dome . After some times she starts to read a book .
"It's Shay, are you okay?" she asked him with a worried tone. Spencer merely shook his head while breathing heavily.
"If that grandma who produces powered breast milk thinks I'm going to detention for putting a brat in her place, they both have another thing coming." he warned, causing his sister to look back at Sean while gesturing him to help her calm her brother down.
Sasha felt horrified. The woman, Adeline, had taken Spencer's sight away. Granted, it was only until detention, but she could rule the world with that power. She gave a sympathetic glance towards Shay; she had nothing to do with this until Ms. Harris dragged her into it. Her pride had gotten the best of her. Again.
She closed her eyes, leaning on the palm of her hand, thinking of everyone who had left her. Brandon probably hated her now. She wept on the inside, her throat clenching.
When Adeline Harris clapped her hands together, which seemingly did absolutely nothing, and then proclaimed Spencer had to deal with something for the rest of the day, Sean couldn't help but feel immense confusion. What the heck was the old woman talking about now? However, that confusion dissipated soon when he heard the words Harris directed at Spencer's sister. Blind!? The hag blinded him!?
Sean was so taken aback and horrified by the sudden change of events that he was unable to say anything for a while but was brought back to the present when Spencer's sister knelt beside him and looked up at Sean. Like a switch had been flipped, his anger boiled over. "What the hell!? You go around friggin' blinding students now!? The heck is wrong with you!? What kind of a school is this!?" Sean yelled at Adeline Harris before turning his attention towards Mr. Pratt, "You okay with this?"
"Sorry..." he apologized while taking his, now wet, hand off of Sean's face. "Could you two take me to my dorm?" he asked. Shay, frightened by what she witnessed, didn't want to break any of the rules. "I'd ... rather not be blind..." she answered, which Spencer replied with a short sigh.
The answer Spencer's sister gave to his request to be taken to his dorm was a bit shocking but Sean did his best not to hold it against her, "Well, who knows what the psycho would do if a girl dared to enter the boys' dorms. I can be the guide dog for now." With that, he grabbed Spencer by his upper arm and started half leading half dragging him through the room. Just before they reached the door, Sean glanced over his shoulder, "Right about now would be the perfect time to break my legs or something if I'm violating any precious rules by leaving this room." Without waiting for any responses, he led Spencer out of the classroom and started heading towards the dorms.
"You know, I didn't know this is what you had in mind when you said you wanted to skip class," Sean joked in an attempt to lighten the mood but he wasn't really seeing the humor in the situation.
Spencer, with his arm around Sean, chuckled at the attempted joke. After a few seconds of awkward silence, Spencer mumbled something under his breath. "All of this just because I used something I came here to learn how to control." he said a bit louder, his voice breaking as if he were about to cry. "Sorry for putting you through this." he apologized, hoping they were somewhat near his dorm. He hated not being able to see where he was walking. Not that he didn't trust Sean, it merely made him feel vulnerable.
The sound of something falling to the ground nearby had Sean halt abruptly and it didn't take him long to find the source of the sound. The girl who was quick to get back up on the seat she had apparently fallen off of looked rather familiar to Sean. She was probably one of the students, which brought up the question what she was doing there all by herself when she should have been in class. Not that it was any of Sean's business and he had better things to worry about anyway. He briefly considered asking the girl whether she was alright but discarded the idea very quickly. There was no way anyone could hurt themselves badly by falling off a seat and Spencer most likely wouldn't want to be paraded around any longer than was necessary. "Alright, we're almost there. What's your room number?" Sean asked as he led Spencer rest of the short way to the dorms.
